Chapter 260: Chapter 262: The 3 Scourges
"I just took a bit of its aura. I didn’t touch anything else."
Gedra spread his hands, looking at the two men in the Round Mirror.
"Who are you trying to fool?"
Wulumu stared fixedly at Gedra.
Sakro had the same expression. The two of them didn’t believe a word Gedra said.
"If I had obtained that Power, do you think you’d still be able to see me right now?"
Gedra pointed at himself and said loudly.
"That’s true. With your personality, if you had really obtained that Power, why would you return to your own race? To you, your race is nothing but a tool."
After a long pause, Sakro chose to believe Gedra.
As powerhouses of the same level, the three of them didn’t spend their days thinking about how to strengthen their races. Instead, they schemed about how to get the other two killed.
That way, they would become the most powerful beings in the world.
The entire world would have to grovel at their feet.
At that point, they could wantonly plunder all the world’s resources to strengthen themselves.
But because the three of them were always holding each other in check, they could only entertain such thoughts in their minds.
This was because in the past, whenever one of them came up with a way to sabotage the other two, the other two were thinking the exact same thing.
Often, when one of them laid a trap to lure the other two in, the other two would be doing the exact same thing.
As a result, the inhabitants of the Cosmic Sea World could often see these three most powerful individuals standing in the sky, pointing at each other and spewing every foul word they knew.
After this happened a few times, the three of them finally realized they seemed to be on the same wavelength.
When it came to setting traps and plotting against others, the three of them always thought alike.
Gradually, the three of them rarely met again.
Even when they did meet, it was like now—seeing each other through the Round Mirror Technique. This time was no exception.
"Forming a Racial Alliance Army is fine, but who will command it?"
When Wulumu raised this question, both Gedra and Sakro fell silent.
None of the three would ever yield to the others.
Now, despite the invasion by an external enemy, none of them wanted to bow their heads and serve under one of the others.
"Since none of us will yield, then let’s do this: the three of us will each command our own race. We’ll divide the other nine races into three groups, giving each of us four races to lead. We’ll set a ten-day time limit. Whoever kills the most invaders will take command of the entire Racial Alliance Army."
After a long silence, Gedra proposed what he considered to be fair terms.
Wulumu and Sakro glanced at each other, then nodded in agreement.
Then, the three of them simultaneously closed the Round Mirror Technique and began to rally their forces for war.
This external enemy was different from the ones that had invaded the world’s interior during its past promotions.
This enemy was exceedingly powerful. If the races within the Cosmic Sea World didn’t unite this time, the fate awaiting all twelve of them was extinction.
As the three great powerhouses sent out their orders, the twelve races quickly formed three legions to face the Wizards.
’Strange, why is the world’s suppression gone?’
In the Expedition Base, Angela looked at the readings on the Witchcraft Array and the messages coming in from other Expedition Squad members, her face a mask of confusion.
’Could this have something to do with Andre?’
Angela recalled that when the world had begun its drastic transformation, she had wanted to go to the storage room to find Andre. She had intended for him to pilot his Star Realm Battleship into the sky and leave the Cosmic Sea World, escaping the sudden upheaval.
But to her surprise, when she entered the storage room, she couldn’t find any sign of Andre.
This greatly surprised Angela. She had assumed Andre found the process of deciphering the text so tedious that he had left the storage room to wander around the Expedition Base.
So, she searched for him throughout the Expedition Base.
But after a thorough search, she still couldn’t find Andre.
Instantly, Angela grew anxious.
Andre was the specialist she had requested from the War Mother Ship to help decipher the script of the Cosmic Sea World.
Now that this specialist was missing, not only was the progress on deciphering the script jeopardized, but it was also uncertain when another one like Andre might arrive.
At the time, Angela had even suspected Andre might have entered the ruins.
But when she went outside the Expedition Base, she found no footprints in the dust surrounding it.
To be absolutely sure, Angela even cast a Witchcraft spell to blow away the dust, in case Andre’s footprints had been covered.
But even after using Witchcraft to blow away the settled dust, she still found no footprints.
This struck Angela as extremely odd. ’Where on earth could Andre have gone?’
’He just arrived in the Cosmic Sea World, a completely unfamiliar place. He didn’t even download the world’s data from the Star Realm Battleship. Where could he possibly go?’
Anxious, Angela had wanted to use the Witchcraft Array to contact the War Mother Ship and report Andre’s disappearance.
But the world was undergoing a massive transformation, and the connection between the Witchcraft Array and the War Mother Ship had been severed by the sudden changes. ℯℯ𝘭.
No matter how many times Angela tried, she couldn’t contact the War Mother Ship.
Left with no other choice, Angela could only wait for the transformation to end before deciding what to do.
Now, the world’s great transformation had ended. She had been about to contact the War Mother Ship directly to report the situation here, including Andre’s disappearance.
But the Expedition Squad members she had sent out to investigate the changes within the world suddenly reported that the world’s suppression of Wizards had vanished.
Angela had no choice but to set aside the matter of Andre’s disappearance and investigate this first.
The reason she had put the search for Andre aside was that she had boarded the Morning Sky.
Aboard the Morning Sky, she saw the Eight-toothed Giant Elephant. Since the Eight-toothed Giant Elephant was alive and well, Andre must be alive too.
Since Andre’s life wasn’t in immediate danger...
...she had to make investigating the changes within the world the top priority for the Expedition Squad.
’But how is that possible? Andre’s Realm is the same as mine; he’s just a Level 2 Wizard. How could he possibly make the world’s suppression of Wizards disappear?’
Thinking of Andre, Angela immediately dismissed the thought.
In her opinion, Andre simply didn’t have the Power to do all this. ’So what exactly is going on?’
