Chapter 231: Chapter 231: The Sound of Water

’As my perception of the Chaos Truth deepens, the corrosive nature of my Chaos Magic Power also grows stronger.’

After taking the newly cast Chaos Wheel in his hand and inspecting it to ensure there were no issues, Andre placed the second Chaos Wheel onto the Magic Fire.

At the same time, he threw a large number of Magic Stones into the flames, causing the somewhat weakened Magic Fire to blaze fiercely once more.

Then, he repeated the entire process from before.

Two hours later, Andre exhaled a cloud of black gas.

This black gas was a waste product generated when his Chaos Magic Power converted external Magic Power.

Faced with this waste product, anyone else would have probably just discarded it.

But as both a Caster and an Alchemist, Andre would never throw away such a thing.

This waste product was the perfect material for crafting hidden weapons or poisons.

Moreover, it would be virtually impossible for anyone other than Andre to neutralize it.

This was because the black gas had been converted by Chaos Magic Power.

It was naturally imbued with a trace of Chaos Magic Power’s aura, and in this world, very few people researched Chaos Magic Power.

Combined with the right Magic Plants, not even someone who studied Chaos Magic Power like Andre could neutralize a poison made from this black gas.

Andre collected the black gas in a test tube, then immediately used Witchcraft to seal it tightly inside.

After dealing with the black gas, Andre’s expression did not relax. Instead, he grew tense.

Now, the new Chaos Wheel was just one step away from completion—the final step.

Fusing the new with the old; a fusion of three Chaos Wheels.

Andre was relatively confident about the two new Chaos Wheels he had just cast.

The Chaos Wheels he had just finished were both made from Elemental Crystals.

However, the original Chaos Wheel had not been made with Elemental Crystals, but with Ancient Time Bronze.

It had relied purely on its resilient properties to withstand the impact of Chaos Magic Power.

Therefore, fusing these three Chaos Wheels together like a sandwich cookie was no small feat.

Fortunately, Andre had already considered this when he was casting the new Chaos Wheels.

His plan was to activate the residual Power of Time within the Ancient Time Bronze. When the Power of Time emerged, the Ancient Time Bronze would shatter, leaving behind only the Demon Patterns he had previously inscribed on it.

At that point, the fusion would become simple.

Andre took two deep breaths and began to fuse the three wheels into one.

First, he had to stack the three wheels. When casting the new Chaos Wheels, Andre had deliberately measured the original’s size.

Now stacked together, the three Chaos Wheels really did look a bit like a sandwich cookie.

This was exactly the effect Andre wanted. Immediately, Chaos Magic Power erupted from his body, enveloping both him and the three Chaos Wheels.

Next, Andre undid his Divine Blood Seal. He then tore through the muscle over his chest with his fingers, pierced his heart with a fingertip, and positioned the Chaos Wheel beneath his arm.

Soon, drops of blood glowing with a grey light flowed from his fingertip down his arm, dripping onto the Chaos Wheel.

As this blood left Andre’s body, his once-ruddy complexion began to turn pale.

At the same time, Andre felt his already drained body become even more depleted.

Although he had replenished himself with a Bloodline-enhancing Potion earlier, it still took time to recover fully.

But now, Andre was risking it all to cast the new Chaos Wheel.

After the ninth drop of blood fell onto the Chaos Wheel, Andre immediately pulled his hand away from his heart.

He then opened his Secret Realm, plucked a branch from the unknown giant tree, and placed it in his mouth, absorbing the rich Power of Life within.

With the replenishment of the Power of Life, his lost blood began to recover rapidly.

His pale face grew ruddy once more.

Next, Andre took the Chaos Wheel in his hands and spun it continuously.

As it spun, the nine drops of blood that had fallen on it began to seep into the Chaos Wheel, constantly fusing with it.

Eventually, the stacked wheels transformed into a cloud of gray gas, with only the original Chaos Wheel left spinning in the center.

As the Chaos Wheel spun, it was time for Andre’s Eye of Truth to play its part.

Andre opened his Eye of Truth and stared intently at the silver-white trace on the Chaos Wheel.

Immediately, he extended a finger and activated his Bloodline. A flash of golden Thunder briefly appeared and vanished.

The silver-white trace instantly exploded, and with it, the original Chaos Wheel shattered, leaving behind only the Demon Patterns Andre had previously inscribed upon it.

Once the Demon Patterns appeared, the surrounding gray mist enveloped them, converting them into a part of itself.

During this transformation process, the gray gas continuously solidified, finally evolving into a new Chaos Wheel.

With that, the newly-forged Chaos Wheel was officially cast by Andre.

Just as Andre thought it was over, something unexpected happened. The silver-white trace he had previously activated with Divine Punishment suddenly erupted, enveloping the Chaos Wheel.

The silver-white light grew more intense, and the aura of the Chaos Wheel became more ancient, more primordial.

In the end, because this sliver of the Power of Time was too weak, it dissipated before Andre’s eyes.

’I didn’t expect that activating the Power of Time from the Ancient Time Bronze would actually cause the Chaos Wheel to be scoured by it. This is an unforeseen development.’

Andre watched the Chaos Wheel slowly descend into his hand and nodded thoughtfully. He then took out the other three reforged components of the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel and fitted the new Chaos Wheel into it.

Instantly, a powerful fluctuation erupted from the new Ten Thousand Laws Wheel. But because Andre was surrounded by Chaos Magic Power, the wave was completely corroded before it could spread.

’A leakage of residual power!’ Andre knew exactly what that burst of fluctuation was.

He immediately retracted the Chaos Magic Power into his body and put on his clothes.

Then, Andre opened his mouth and took a sharp breath, sucking hundreds of floating Spiritual Fires that glowed with a vivid green light into his mouth.

Normally, a single touch of this Spiritual Fire would be enough to turn a person to ash.

But now, Andre was eating it like a snack. With a satisfied burp, he carried the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel over to the passageway.

"Did you succeed?" Karina asked, turning her head toward the entrance of the passageway when she heard footsteps.

Andre walked over, nodded, and then looked at Potato.

Potato let out a roar, its body returned to its original size, and it opened the passageway.

Once the passageway was open, waves of sound could be heard coming from the other side.

"What’s that sound?" Karina asked, looking into the passage with great confusion.

"It sounds like water." "Water?" Karina’s brow furrowed.
