Chapter 220: Chapter 220: Waiting for the Opportunity

’This Giant Snake’s power must be at the very limit of a Level 3 Wizard.’

Andre’s expression was grim as he watched the Giant Snake emerge from the Giant Snake’s Nest, bringing the Black Water with it.

Faced with a Giant Snake this powerful, even if he exhausted the Divine Power in his Bloodline and activated the Gale Gate, he would be hard-pressed to kill it. At most, he could wound it.

And if he failed to kill it, he and Karina would be the ones to die.

"What do we do now?" Karina stared at the Giant Snakes in the pit, completely at a loss.

She had assumed there wouldn’t be too many Giant Snakes. The Giant Elephants had killed one wave, and she and Andre had killed several more. Even if there had been a lot to begin with, their numbers should have been greatly diminished by now.

But now, the number of Giant Snakes in the nest before them was simply impossible to count.

Faced with so many Giant Snakes, Karina had no idea what to do.

With so many of them, it would be nearly impossible to take the Snake Eggs.

"Then let’s wait a little longer!"

Andre snapped his fingers, and the light from the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel instantly vanished.

Instantly, the Giant Snake’s Nest was plunged back into darkness.

"What are you doing?"

Karina grew anxious as she saw serpent eyes glinting with a bloody light in the darkness.

As long as the light was in the Giant Snake’s Nest, the creatures wouldn’t focus on them.

But now that Andre had extinguished the light, the Giant Snakes would use their own sensory organs to locate her and Andre.

"What’s the rush? You’ve forgotten there are others who want to pick a fight with these Giant Snakes!"

Andre poked the Disguise Potion on Karina’s chest.

"You—you mean those Giant Elephants? Can those Giant Elephants beat these Giant Snakes?"

Startled by Andre’s sudden touch, Karina’s face immediately flushed red.

Then she realized why Andre had touched the Disguise Potion.

"We’ll only know if the Giant Elephants can beat the Giant Snakes after they’ve fought each other."

Andre smiled and turned to leave.

Karina watched Andre turn and helplessly followed him.

The two of them returned to the Tomb of the Giant Elephant. By now, everything in the tomb aside from the original earth and stone had been completely corroded away by the Black Water.

’Now is the best time to reforge the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel!’

Andre summoned the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel back from the tunnel.

By sensing the speed at which the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel flew back from the Giant Snake’s Nest into his hand, Andre determined the distance between the nest and their current location in the Tomb of the Giant Elephant.

’This tunnel is about twelve kilometers long. At this distance, it’s quite deep underground!’

Andre’s expression shifted slightly once he knew the distance.

Even if the Giant Snakes had only dug the tunnel at a shallow angle of ten-odd degrees, such a long distance meant the Giant Snake’s Nest was hundreds, perhaps even a thousand, meters underground.

’Also, where do these Giant Snakes get their food?’

’Although, as one’s Realm increases, Magical Beasts and Wizards can use Magic Power to substitute for food.’

’But with so many Giant Snakes cooped up in a deep pit, if each one absorbed a single mouthful of Magic Power, it would completely drain the pit.’

’With the appetites of these Giant Snakes, I’m afraid the Magical Beasts on the surface of the Giant Elephant Plain are not nearly enough to feed them.’

’Could it be that the tunnels of the Giant Snake’s Nest extend under the sea?’

’If that’s the case, the Giant Snake’s Nest must be taken. It’s a natural transportation hub.’

Andre pondered this question for a moment before setting it aside.

Right now, his most important task was to reforge the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel.

Andre disassembled the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel. When he had first forged it, he had done so one wheel at a time.

Now that he was reforging it, he would naturally do so wheel by wheel as well.

Andre raised a Magic Fire, then threw the Three Wonders Wheel into it and began the reforging.

"What are you doing?" Karina watched Andre’s actions, somewhat confused.

"Reforging my Witchcraft Artifact, of course."

Andre said nonchalantly. Karina blinked, and a moment later, his words sank in. Her eyes widened in disbelief.

"Reforge? How is that possible?"

Karina looked at Andre, completely unconvinced of his ability.

As far as she knew, the moment a Witchcraft Artifact was forged, its form was set. It was extremely difficult to change it.

In the Witch World, the so-called "growth-type" Witchcraft Artifacts were merely artifacts that had large, empty spaces on their surfaces.

Filling these blank spots with new Demon Patterns to increase the artifact’s power—that was "growth."

But the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel in Andre’s hands didn’t have many blank spots.

’Under these circumstances, why would Andre say he’s reforging it?’

"It’s worth a try. There’s nothing to lose."

Andre smiled, then took out the materials for reforging the Three Wonders Wheel.

"So many!" Karina was shocked again as she looked at the materials Andre took out.

"This is just the beginning!"

Andre shook the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel in his hand.

’A modular Witchcraft Artifact that can be disassembled.’

Only then did Karina realize that the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel in Andre’s hand was actually formed from individual rings, not a single piece.

"Didn’t you see it when we were fighting those Giant Snakes just now?"

A trace of surprise flashed in Andre’s eyes.

"I didn’t notice." Karina shook her head at Andre.

She had been so focused on the Giant Snakes that she hadn’t paid any attention to the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel in Andre’s hand.

’As expected, it’s great to have a powerful background. Even your Witchcraft Artifacts are modular.’

’This Witchcraft Artifact can probably serve as a mobile Witchcraft Array.’

Karina looked at Andre, a look of deep envy in her eyes.

"Are you just going to stand there?"

Andre’s words instantly snapped Karina out of it.

At this moment, Andre was crushing, grinding, and purifying the materials.

At the same time, he noticed Karina standing there motionless.

Karina froze for a second, then took out materials from her Storage Ring and began to inscribe a Witchcraft Scroll.

As a broker who lived by selling information, she had also dabbled in this area.

Although her skill with Demon Patterns was only enough to create simple Level 1 Witchcraft,

but sometimes, it was these very Level 1 Witchcraft that saved her life.

Andre glanced at Karina and shook his head before refocusing his attention on the materials in his hands.

He had taken out a full eighteen types of materials, each of which was divided into three portions. Every three portions corresponded to a single attribute on the Three-Seven Wheel.
