Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 202: The Attention of the Wizard Civilization Will
"Have you really been an Official Wizard for that long?"
Red-haired Klein listened to Andre, a dazed look flashing in his eyes.
"I became an Official Wizard in my sixth year at the academy. At the end of my seventh year, I went to the Main Institute and met you for the first time. After that, I stayed at the academy for another two years until the expedition began."
"After the expedition started, there were pauses after four trans-World Group jumps, followed by six years of travel through the Star Realm."
"And now, five years have passed since we arrived in this world."
Andre looked at Red-haired Klein and said with a helpless expression,
"So, all things considered, you've been on the Wizard's path for thirty-three years."
A complex look flashed in Red-haired Klein's eyes. If it had been any other disciple's disciple, he would have kept them by his side for a while, teaching them and helping them build a solid foundation.
But with Andre, he had only met him that one time before the expedition began.
His main body was on the verge of a breakthrough and couldn't create too many Divine Splits.
'Now that I think about it, it really has been a long time.'
"Six years to become an Official Wizard, and a Level 2 Wizard in just over twenty years... that speed."
At this, a hint of astonishment flashed in Landra's eyes as she looked at Andre.
"It's alright, I guess!" Andre shook his head with a wry smile.
"My Speed can't compare to some of the real Talents out there."
"Still can't compare?" The corner of Landra's mouth twitched when she heard Andre's words.
'A Talent? Who else could possibly be called a Talent in front of you?'
He became an Official Wizard in just six years, and then a Level 2 Wizard twenty-seven years after that.
'If that kind of speed doesn't count as a Talent, then what does that make her, who took over a hundred years to break through to Level 2 Wizard? Slower than a pig?!'
"Alright, enough of that. For now, just follow Landra and the others and help with the research."
Red-haired Klein said after pondering for a moment.
"Research? What kind of research?"
Andre blinked, looking at Red-haired Klein in confusion.
"Research to analyze this world, of course. You..."
Red-haired Klein trailed off, suddenly stopping mid-sentence.
The reason he stopped was simple: the notes Andre had taken out.
"Did you just say these notes are your research on this world's Magic Plants?"
Red-haired Klein asked seriously, looking at the notes Andre still hadn't put away. Andre nodded.
"Have you analyzed all the Magic Plants in this world?"
Red-haired Klein's eyes widened, and he stared intently at Andre.
If Andre had truly analyzed every Magic Plant in this world, then he would have to completely re-evaluate Andre's Talent.
"Not all of them, I suppose, but I should have analyzed the vast majority."
"After arriving in this world, we discovered a Magic Plant Island, where a huge number of Magic Plants grow."
"I collected a sample of every Magic Plant on the Magic Plant Island and analyzed them. That's where all these notes came from."
Andre pointed to the stacks of notes piled beside him.
"Take these and make a copy," Klein said to Landra, scratching his head. Landra, however, was so shocked by Andre her jaw had practically unhinged.
"You know about this stuff, too?" Landra asked after a long moment of astonishment, slowly pulling her jaw back into place.
"Personally, I'm also a Master Alchemist."
Andre said after a moment's hesitation, seeing Landra's shocked expression.
"A Master Alchemist?" Landra now stared at Andre as if he were a monster.
Red-haired Klein's expression was even more exaggerated than Landra's as he looked at Andre.
'Andre isn't just walking the path of Chaos Truth, a path no one has ever successfully completed, but he's also a Master Alchemist?'
To be a Master Alchemist, one had to deal with all sorts of Potions and Magic Plants every single day.
A Master Alchemist he knew spent more than ten hours a day on Magic Plants and Potions.
Besides brewing Potions, the only time left was for bathing and eating. There was simply no time for anything else.
'And yet, under these circumstances, Andre has also managed to forge a path with Chaos Truth. If that's not a monster, what is?'
'That brat Radak... his personality really has changed a lot since his injury.'
'To take on a monstrous disciple like Andre and actually manage to keep his cool, not even bragging to his fellow disciples...'
A surge of anger rose in his heart as he thought of Andre's teacher.
If Radak had told him about Andre, he would have transferred Andre to the Main Institute long ago to keep him by his side and teach him personally.
'If he had, Andre's Speed on the path of Chaos Truth might have been even faster.'
"How did Radak get so lucky as to find such a good disciple?"
At this moment, Red-haired Klein, the master, couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy toward his own disciple, Radak.
'If he were Andre's teacher, his name would surely be engraved on the eternal monument of achievement in the Wizard World.'
'But he wasn't. He was merely Andre's grandmaster. Although the relationship was close, it wasn't the same as being Andre's direct teacher.'
'There was a layer of separation in the relationship. In the future, if he were to fall in the Star Realm, even if people mentioned him, they would just say, "Oh, Klein, the grandmaster of Wizard Andre." And there would be no further record of him.'
'No wonder that brat Radak's injuries recovered so quickly. While the long period of rest certainly helped...'
'...the main reason must have been the attention he received from the Wizard Will.'
'When Andre made the path of Chaos Truth a reality, it naturally alerted the great Wizard Civilization Will.'
'And once the Wizard Civilization Will is alerted, many miraculous things will happen to Andre.'
'Besides the miraculous things that would happen to Andre himself, the leftover scraps would be thrown to Radak.'
'And only the scraps that Radak didn't want would be tossed to him, the grandmaster. This meant he was getting the scraps of the scraps.'
'Although it wasn't a very nice way to describe it, it wasn't wrong, either.'
'The attention he received from the Wizard Civilization Will was minuscule. At best, it was like the Wizard Civilization Will glanced his way out of the corner of its eye while focusing on Andre.'
'And it was precisely because of that one glance that his probability of breaking through to become a Red Sun Great Wizard had increased significantly.'
"This!" Red-haired Klein's brows furrowed tightly, his heart filled with frustration.
'What was this? Was he, the grandmaster, actually riding on his grand-disciple's coattails?'
'No one would believe it if he said it out loud. But now, as a Red Sun Great Wizard who wielded a certain amount of the Power of Truth, he could communicate with the Wizard Civilization Will.'
'This whole thing... it might actually be true!'
