Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 180: Soloing the Royal City
Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Soloing the Royal City
However, as Andre emerged from the Morning Sky, whatever Lotte was about to say vanished, replaced by pleasant surprise.
But then, Rote began to feel uneasy. As Andre drew closer, he could clearly feel a powerful force oppressing him.
This pressure was all-encompassing, like the feeling of near-suffocation when he fell into his family’s swimming pool as a child before he had learned to swim.
’Which path did Andre take? How did he become so powerful?’
A flicker of curiosity flashed in Rote’s eyes, and he went forward to meet him.
"Have you made your choice?" Andre asked as he watched Rote and the others approach him.
After boarding the Morning Sky, he had asked Wei Xing and learned that two months had passed since he’d left the Expedition Base.
He had been worried that Rote, Karina, and the others had already made their move. So, without taking the time to acclimate to his new body, Andre had rushed back.
But upon his return, he saw that their battleships were still moored at the Expedition Base.
This puzzled Andre. ’Choosing a small nation for the five of them to attack shouldn’t be a difficult task.’
"We’ve made our choice, but some problems have come up. This Multi-Body Race gains its Power through its Bloodline."
"This method of gaining Power makes it difficult for top-tier experts to emerge from their ranks. However, as long as a Bloodline is pure enough, many fairly strong individuals can be produced."
"We’ve chosen a small nation to attack."
"This nation only has two Six-armed People, but there are quite a few Five-armed People, who are equivalent to Level 1 Wizards. There are more than a dozen of them."
"We are currently discussing whether or not to use our Interstellar Battleships to strike the nation."
Piedra looked at Andre and explained the problem they were facing. After listening, Andre nodded.
"I’ll take care of the two Six-armed People. You handle the Five-armed People."
As soon as Andre finished, Karina objected.
"You’ve only just achieved your breakthrough. It won’t be easy to defeat the Six-armed People, who are on par with Level 2 Wizards."
After Karina spoke, Jessica and Rote nodded in agreement as well.
"I wouldn’t have said it if I weren’t confident."
Andre just smiled at Karina’s doubt.
"And what makes you so confident!" Karina still didn’t believe him.
After all, this was no small matter. Their lives were on the line.
"Have you heard of Combined Witchcraft?" Andre said, looking at Karina.
"Combined Witchcraft? Who doesn’t know about that?" Jessica nodded.
"Then, how good do you think someone who specializes in Demon Pattern Study is at mastering Combined Witchcraft?"
"You specialize in Demon Pattern Study? I thought you always specialized in Pharmacy?"
Andre’s words took Karina and the others by surprise; they had never imagined that Andre’s specialty was actually Magic Literature.
"It seems you didn’t tell them, Rote."
Andre glanced at Rote. He had confided in Rote about his specialty back when they were harvesting the Tidal Sea Eels.
But now, it was clear that Karina, Piedra, Sander, and Jessica were unaware of this.
The four of them all looked toward Rote. Rote rubbed his head in embarrassment.
"My master, Radak, oversees the Wizard Inheritance Hall at the Senbai Branch. He holds another position there as well: professor of the Demon Pattern Element."
"So take a guess, as his only disciple, what am I best at?"
At this point, Andre had made everything clear.
"In that case, it’s worth a try. When do we leave?"
Sander looked at Andre, now convinced.
"Let me prepare some Potions. Are you all stocked up?"
Andre glanced at Sander and the others. The five of them looked at each other and shook their heads in unison.
Seeing their reaction, Andre smiled. He then took out the materials he needed and began preparing Potions.
He knew that even if the five of them—Jessica, Karina, and the rest—had enough Potions, they would never say so.
After all, he was a Master Alchemist. Of course they would jump at the chance to have him prepare Potions for them.
「Two days later.」
Andre had prepared 200 vials of Potions.
"Alright, let’s set out. Which direction is this nation?"
Andre handed the Potions to Rote, Carolina, and the others.
"It’s to the west of the Expedition Base. It’s a relatively large island, about 3 million square kilometers, with cities built by the Multi-Armed Race."
"There are 12 cities in total, including one Royal City. The Guardians of the Royal City are those two Six-armed People."
"The other cities each have one or two Five-armed People as guards to prevent the Wild Beasts and Magical Beasts from forming beast tides and harming the members of the Multi-Armed Race."
Sander finished briefing Andre on the details of the nation.
"Then let’s move out."
Andre then summoned the Black Iron Giant Tribe and the Frenzy Beastman Tribe, boarding them onto the Morning Sky.
The others followed Andre’s lead, summoning their own servant races from elsewhere in the Expedition Base and boarding their Star Realm Battleships to prepare for the attack on the Multi-Armed Race’s nation.
Soon, six Star Realm Battleships rose into the sky and began their journey toward the nation.
「One day later.」
Ande nodded as he looked at the projection in the Central Control Room.
The situation on this island was quite ideal, and the Magic Power concentration was also relatively high.
The island’s terrain was also relatively flat; aside from a small mountain range in the center, the rest was all plains.
This was an advantage for their attack, as they didn’t have to worry about the Multi-Armed Race’s guards discovering them immediately.
"Let’s get this done in one go. Whoever finishes first goes to support the others. Try to avoid any unnecessary complications."
Andre began issuing commands via the Morning Sky, then piloted the ship directly toward the Royal City.
Piedra and the others also flew their own Star Realm Battleships toward the other cities.
Unlike Andre, who headed straight for the center, the other five adopted an arrowhead formation for their attack. With Piedra at the point and the other four on the flanks, they planned to conquer the cities one by one.
Although this risked allowing the Multi-Armed Race to rally their forces, the advantage was that they could more quickly eliminate the enemy’s effective strength.
Soon, both groups launched their attacks simultaneously.
Looking at the Royal City before him, Andre saw no reason to hesitate. He ordered Wei Xing to activate the Morning Sky’s Mirror of Radiance and fire a Radiant Impact to shatter the city’s defenses.
No one knew which generation of the Multi-Armed Race had built this Royal City.
On the outside of the city walls were many Curse Seals belonging to the Multi-Armed Race. These Curse Seals could be activated with blood to protect the Royal City from beast tides.
And now, this was the very obstacle Andre faced.
