Wizard: Grinding to Lord of Truth
Chapter 164: Spirit-Flesh Fusion
Chapter 164: Chapter 164: Spirit-Flesh Fusion
’The Racial Nest is working quite well.’
After tossing the last block of ice into the Racial Nest, Andre glanced inside.
The ice was melting, and the Tidal Sea Eels, once frozen solid, were now thrashing about in the icy water.
’From now on, I just need to feed these Tidal Sea Eels every day to grow their population.’
’And then I can finally use those Potion recipes I found.’
’Tidal Sea Eels to purify my Spiritual Power, and Azure Spring Fruit to strengthen my body.’
’According to my plan, when I break through to Level 2 Wizard, I need to completely bind my body and Soul together.’
’Once that’s done, a breakthrough in one will elevate the other, eliminating this current separation between my Spirit and flesh.’
’I originally only wanted to capture some Tidal Sea Eels, but I ended up with an Azure Spring Fruit Tree. What a pleasant surprise. Now, I’m even more curious about that Magic Plant Island Jessica knows about.’
Andre walked through the forest, the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel spinning ceaselessly above his head.
The Ten Thousand Laws Wheel would occasionally shoot out a burst of Witchcraft to kill a Magical Beast or Wild Beast lurking in the jungle, or it would fly out to snap trees and clear a path.
As he went, Andre continuously scanned his surroundings.
’An island that can nurture an Azure Spring Fruit Tree might hold even more precious treasures.’
Andre had no intention of sharing these treasures with anyone else.
Rote had discovered the Tidal Sea Eel Nest, so in a way, it belonged to him.
But Rote hadn’t discovered these other treasures, which meant they were fair game.
He certainly wasn’t going to pass up this opportunity and continued to search for treasure in the jungle.
But after searching the entire area, he found nothing. It seemed that besides the Azure Spring Fruit Tree, there were no other treasures on the island.
’Could it be? Did the Azure Spring Fruit Tree suck all the Magic Power on this island dry?’
The thought flashed through Andre’s mind, but he quickly shook his head.
’An Azure Spring Fruit Tree isn’t a parasitic Magic Plant like a Void Vine or a King-Devouring Creeper. That couldn’t happen.’
’It seems this island could only support this single Azure Spring Fruit Tree. The reason no other treasures appeared is because there wasn’t enough Magic Power.’
’All the Magic Power on the island was absorbed by the Azure Spring Fruit Tree and the Magic Plants surrounding it.’
’Even if the seeds of other rare Magic Plants landed here, they wouldn’t be able to sprout without a sufficient supply of Magic Power.’
Having reached a conclusion, Andre rode the Ten Thousand Laws Wheel back to the Morning Sky to await Rote’s return.
Two days later, Rote finally flew back and landed on his Star Realm Battleship.
’What’s he been up to?’
Andre watched Rote through a projection from Wei Xing.
Rote was covered in bloody gashes, his clothes were torn, his hair was a mess, and a trickle of fresh blood was visible at the corner of his mouth.
Andre frowned at the sight, then flew out of the Morning Sky. He appeared before Rote and placed several vials of Healing Potion in his hand.
Rote took them, nodded at Andre, and immediately downed all the Potions.
As the Potions took effect, Rote’s injuries began to heal.
"What did you run into?" Andre asked, looking at the recovering Rote.
"Don’t even ask. I was collecting the second Tidal Sea Eel Nest when I stumbled upon a Fear Crocodile laying its eggs."
"The Fear Crocodile thought I was there to steal its young."
Rote’s face was filled with fury as he spoke.
Andre nodded in understanding. Any Magical Beast or Wild Beast would attack any unfamiliar creature that entered its territory during mating season.
"By the looks of it, you succeeded."
Andre observed Rote’s condition. Rote nodded, then pulled a head from his Storage Ring and handed it to Andre.
Andre took the head. It was about 1.5 meters long and 90 centimeters wide.
It was the head of the very Fear Crocodile Rote had just mentioned.
"It took me a day and a night to kill it. I almost ran out of Magic Power and Spiritual Power."
"But, I also managed to collect the eggs it laid."
Rote shook the Racial Nest in his hand, a smile spreading across his face.
"Not bad. The upper limit for a Fear Crocodile is a Level 3 Wizard. If you get a bit of Bloodline regression, it could even reach the level of a Morning Star Great Wizard. You’re pretty lucky."
Andre said with a smile.
Hearing this, an expression appeared on Rote’s face—one Andre knew well. It was the look of someone who felt jinxed.
"Are there any more?" Andre asked, placing the head into his Storage Ring.
"There are definitely other treasure spots I found among these island groups, but I don’t know the specifics anymore. Back then, I was just here to map the terrain."
Rote looked at Andre and spread his hands helplessly.
Andre nodded in understanding. He knew Rote must have other locations, but if Rote wasn’t willing to share them now, he couldn’t force the issue.
He flew back to the Morning Sky, and together with Rote, they set a course back to the Expedition Base.
The return trip was significantly shorter. It had taken them a month to get here, but the journey back only took twenty-four days.
The Morning Sky landed, and as Andre stepped out, Karina gestured to him.
Andre gave a quick, subtle blink in acknowledgment and returned to his room.
That night, a shadow slipped under the crack of the door and into Andre’s room. It gradually expanded and solidified, revealing Karina’s figure.
"Have those two made a move?"
Andre asked, looking at Karina who had used her shadow-walking ability.
"They haven’t done anything major, but they have been constantly trying to get close to Jessica."
"Jessica... heh. They’re not even trying to hide it anymore. They want to use the sister, Jessica, to control her brother, Rote, and drive a wedge between us."
Andre saw through Piedra and Sander’s intentions at a glance.
"You must have gotten a lot of dirty looks from them over the past two months, haven’t you?"
Andre said with a cold snort, a slight smile playing on his lips as he looked at Karina.
Karina nodded and began to complain to Andre.
"Because I’m here, they can’t get close to Jessica. So for the past two months, they’ve been treating me with utter contempt."
When Karina finished, a bitter smile touched her lips. But it instantly brightened.
Andre placed three vials of Potion into her hands.
"Good work. Keep watching them. They don’t dare make a move against us just yet."
Andre told her.
Karina looked at the light shimmering within the vials, took a deep breath, and nodded.
"I know what to do!"
