Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Star Realm Battleship

The Frenzied Orcs began to celebrate their new territory, dancing with one another.

The Frenzied Beastman King ran into the woods, chopped down several large trees, and brought them back. He stacked them together and lit a very primitive bonfire.

As the bonfire blazed, the Frenzied Orcs began to run and spin ceaselessly around it, all while waving their arms and chanting ancient prayers.

The moment the chants began, the color of the bonfire started to change.

The fire was originally crimson, but as the chanting continued, its color began to turn cyan, and finally, blue.

As the bonfire’s color shifted, tears streamed from the corners of the Frenzied Orcs’ eyes, and they began to run faster and faster around the fire.

Meanwhile, the Frenzied Beastman King ran through the mountain forests, killing massive Wild Beasts one by one and bringing them back to throw onto the bonfire.

As the Wild Beasts’ blood fed the flames, the bonfire burned even more intensely.

At the same time, an immense Power crossed over from the distant Star Realm and descended upon the Senbai Wizard World, enveloping the Frenzied Orcs.

With the appearance of this aura, the strength of the Frenzied Orcs began to rise.

Their skin also started to turn a bloody red.

The moment this bloody red color appeared, the bonfire began to split, forming chains of pale blue fire that landed on the Frenzied Orcs.

As the chains of fire wrapped around them, a bizarre scene unfolded: the Frenzied Orcs felt no pain at all, continuing to run, spin, and dance around the bonfire.

Meanwhile, the sound of their chanting grew louder and louder.

And it was during this process that ancient tattoos appeared on the bodies of the Frenzied Orcs.

Andre watched the Frenzied Orcs’ sacrificial ritual, the Demon Pattern Disc in his eyes spinning ceaselessly as it recorded every tattoo that appeared on their bodies.

’These tattoos are valuable. They’re a racial secret that the Frenzied Orcs don’t share with outsiders—their own unique Demon Patterns.’

After an unknown amount of time, once the prey killed by the Frenzied Beastman King was fully roasted by the bonfire, the sacrificial ritual finally came to an end.

At the same instant the ritual ended, Andre sensed that something in the very land beneath his feet had awakened and bonded with the Frenzied Orcs.

"I didn’t expect this Frenzy Beastman Tribe to have preserved such an ancient sacrificial ritual."

Just then, Radak appeared by Andre’s side.

"Teacher!" Andre exclaimed, looking at Radak.

"Mm. The tattoos on these Frenzied Orcs are a secret many Wizards wish to study, but the Frenzied Orcs rarely let that knowledge get out."

"I didn’t expect that just by giving them a mountain peak, you’d get them to reveal these secrets.

Radak looked at Andre and nodded in satisfaction.

"Teacher, what is this ritual meant to communicate with?"

"I felt a Power cross over from the Star Realm the moment the ritual took form. That Power won’t cause any problems, will it?"

Andre asked Radak, a hint of worry in his voice.

"This is the faith of the Beastmen, known as the Beastman’s Soul, or the Beast God’s Soul."

"The Beastmen believe that the God of Beastmen created their race."

"In the mythology of the Beastmen, after creating their race, the God of Beastmen used his weakened body to send his people to a safe place, protecting them from the attacks of other races."

"Afterward, the God of Beastmen died at the hands of foreign Divine Spirits."

"Although the God of Beastmen is dead, his Soul remains forever in the Star Realm."

"Therefore, the Beastmen took the Beast God’s Soul as the object of their worship."

"They hope that one day, they can use the power of their rituals to pull the God of Beastmen back from death, allowing him to return to the mortal world and protect the Beastmen once more."

Radak explained the mysteries of the Frenzy Beastman Tribe’s ritual to Andre.

’To be able to create an entire race, the God of Beastmen must have been at least at the level of a Truth Great Wizard, right?’

Andre listened to Radak’s words, comparing it to the Wizard ranking system.

"More or less. But aside from a few extremely ancient beings, no one has ever seen the Beast God’s Soul, and no one is certain it truly exists."

"Those who came later have only ever felt a Power from the Star Realm descending upon the Beastmen during some of their rituals."

"And so, some people came to believe that the Beast God’s Soul is real."

"I see," Andre said with a nod, not asking any more questions.

"Alright, this isn’t something you need to be focusing on right now. You have two years left, so you need to start preparing."

Radak said, looking at Andre. Andre nodded.

He naturally understood what Radak meant by that.

The expedition was fast approaching. He had to choose the battleship he would use.

In the past, when Wizards went on expeditions, they would teleport to Otherworlds through a Star Realm Gate.

However, the Star Realm Gate could only transport a very small number of people at a time, so the early expeditions did not go smoothly.

But after the Wizards created vessels capable of navigating the Star Realm—like Magic Energy Flying Vessels, Stellar Battleships, and Floating Cities—expeditions became much simpler.

As long as they had the coordinates to an Otherworld, they could use these battleships to cross the Star Realm, reach the new world, and begin their expedition.

This method had its pros and cons. The downside was that traveling by battleship was much slower than using a Star Realm Gate.

The upside was that they could bring more servants, Battle Pets, and subordinates to form an Expeditionary Corps, thereby increasing the expedition’s success rate.

As one of the first candidates selected for the Expeditionary Corps, Andre naturally had to choose his own Star Realm Battleship.

Furthermore, different Star Realm Battleships had different specializations; some focused on defense, others on Speed, and still others on attack.

The choice of Star Realm Battleship would determine what role Andre played in the expedition.

"You’ve only just become an Official Wizard, yet you were chosen for the first wave of the Expeditionary Corps. Because of that, you’ll definitely be at a disadvantage when recruiting."

"Therefore, you should choose a defensive battleship. On one hand, it will ensure your own safety; on the other, it will allow you to learn from the experience of other members of the Expeditionary Corps."

"Additionally, defensive battleships usually travel in the middle or rear of the Expeditionary Corps. They only move to the front to defend against dangers in the Star Realm when the corps is in peril."

Looking at Andre, Radak passed on these tips for selecting a battleship.

Andre listened, nodding and committing every word to memory.

This was a matter of life and death; he couldn’t afford to be careless.
