Chapter 135: Chapter 135: Successive Advancements

Logically, the goal in raising Seven Rings should be to unlock its full potential by cultivating it in the direction of a Life Giant Dragon.

However, cultivating it into a Life Giant Dragon presented a significant challenge.

First and foremost was the issue of how to increase the concentration of the Life Giant Dragon Bloodline within Seven Rings.

The Life Giant Dragon Bloodline concentration in Seven Rings was less than 3%. Even if its Life Giant Dragon Bloodline were to absorb the Wind Howling Giant Dragon and Azure Wave Giant Dragon bloodlines, it still wouldn’t reach 10%.

And that wasn’t all. Afterward, he would have to purge the other bloodlines from Seven Rings’ body, a process that would consume another massive amount of resources.

Andre wasn’t worried about the consumption of ordinary resources.

What worried Andre was that raising Seven Rings into a Life Giant Dragon required a vast quantity of Life Element materials.

In the Endless Star Realm, Life Element materials had always been considered strategic-level resources.

They were mostly used to heal injuries, and severe ones at that.

With his current resources, he only had Vital Grass and Immortal Flower. Beyond that, he had nothing.

These two materials could, at most, raise Seven Rings’ Life Giant Dragon Bloodline by a percentage point, bringing it to 3%.

And this was what gave Andre the biggest headache.

Still, there were benefits to cultivating Seven Rings in the direction of a Life Giant Dragon.

Seven Rings could form its own Dragon Race true name ahead of schedule.

Other Dragon Beasts might need a Giant Dragon Bloodline concentration of 30% or 40% to even have a chance of forming a true name.

With a Life Giant Dragon Bloodline, it might not even take 20%.

But where there were advantages, there were also disadvantages. If he chose the Wind Howling Giant Dragon and Azure Wave Giant Dragon bloodlines, the Dragon Transformation Fruit Tree would only need to bear fruit seven or eight times, which would be about enough.

But if he chose the Life Giant Dragon, the Dragon Transformation Fruit Tree would need to bear fruit at least twenty-odd times to have a chance of raising the bloodline within Seven Rings.

Thinking of this, Andre couldn’t help but sigh.

Seven Rings seemed to sense Andre’s troubled mood and raised its head to nuzzle his hand.

"Which Bloodline do you want to keep? The Wind Howling Giant Dragon, the Azure Wave Giant Dragon, or the Life Giant Dragon!"

Andre crouched down and wrote the names of the three Giant Dragons on the ground with his finger.

Upon seeing the three names, Seven Rings unhesitatingly chose the Life Giant Dragon. Then, it raised its head and looked at Andre with an expectant gaze.

When Andre saw Seven Rings’ choice, his head instantly began to throb.

It was just as he feared.

’We’ll take it slow, one step at a time.’

Andre looked at Seven Rings and shook his head helplessly. Since Seven Rings had made its choice, he would have to cultivate it in that direction.

After all, raising a Giant Dragon wasn’t something that could be done overnight. It was possible that, in the process, something would happen to make Seven Rings choose a different Bloodline.

The Life Giant Dragon wasn’t a single species, but rather a class among Giant Dragons, with many sub-branches.

For example, the Withered Giant Dragon—a dragon possessing the Power to make all things wither—seemed unrelated to the Life Giant Dragon, but was in fact one of its types.

’If I’m going to cultivate it as a Life Giant Dragon, the first step is to fuse the Wind Howling Giant Dragon and Azure Wave Giant Dragon bloodlines with the Life Giant Dragon Bloodline inside Seven Rings. This will increase its concentration.’

Andre reined in his emotions and began to lay out a plan for raising Seven Rings.

According to his previous calculations, if the Life Giant Dragon Bloodline in Seven Rings absorbed the Wind Howling Giant Dragon and Azure Wave Giant Dragon bloodlines, its concentration should reach 7%.

A Bloodline concentration of 7% was still a long way from Seven Rings forming its Dragon Race true name.

But at the very least, it would allow Seven Rings to break through from a Mixed-blood Dragon Beast to a Pure-blooded Dragon Beast. After that, he would need to purge the remaining impure blood from Seven Rings’ body.

The source of this impure blood was the other half of the bloodline from the Giant Dragon’s non-dragon partner when they produced a Dragon Beast offspring.

The Life Giant Dragon Bloodline within Seven Rings could also absorb these bloodlines.

Once the absorption was complete, the Life Giant Dragon Bloodline’s concentration would likely reach about 10%.

With a Bloodline of this concentration, combined with Dragon Transformation Fruits and some bloodline-enhancing Potions, he estimated it would take about 100 years for Seven Rings to form its Dragon Race name.

A hundred years... before, he naturally couldn’t have afforded to spend that much time.

But now, he had become an Official Wizard. One hundred years was truly not that long compared to his current one-thousand-year lifespan.

’I hope we run into a decent world during the expedition.’

Andre patted Seven Rings’s head and sighed.

If he wanted Seven Rings to form its Dragon Race true name within a hundred years, the Otherworld they entered during the expedition would have to be a Level 3 World at minimum. A Level 4 World would be even better.

The higher the Level of the world, the better the resources it produced, and the lower the difficulty of cultivation.

Sensing Andre’s mood, Seven Rings let out a pair of soft cries.

"Alright, these aren’t things you need to worry about. You haven’t even reached the strength of an Official Wizard. What’s the use in you worrying?"

Andre pushed Seven Rings’s large head aside and called Potato over.

It was time to help Potato reach the level of an Official Wizard.

Hearing Andre’s call, Potato ran over and plopped down right beside him. It leaned against Andre, took a piece of Honeycomb from his hand, and began licking it continuously.

Andre used this time to retrieve a book titled *Encyclopedia of Elemental Creatures* from his Storage Ring. It recorded many methods for cultivating Elemental Creatures.

Since Potato was an Earth Elemental Creature, Andre looked up methods specifically for them.

There were three suitable methods that would be the quickest for Potato.

The first was to continue feeding it large quantities of Earth Element Crystals. The second was to use Potions or Magic Plants to strengthen Potato’s weak Soul.

This would help Potato’s Soul cross the threshold, triggering a chain reaction that would allow it to fully break through.

The third was to form a Magic Organ. With the Magic Organ as the core, the Earth Element within Potato’s body would be made to circulate through it repeatedly.

Once the Magic Organ solidified, Potato would be able to cross the threshold.

Andre decided to use a combination of the first and second methods.

Over the past few years, Potato had already consumed enough Earth Element Crystals. Only its Soul was lacking. Once its Soul met the requirements, Potato could break through.

Andre immediately began concocting a soul-enhancing Potion for Potato. Soon, a Spirit God Potion was ready, and he handed it to Potato.

Potato glanced at Andre before drinking the Potion. The moment it touched Potato’s tongue, the Potion dissolved into a stream of Magic Power that flowed into its body, nourishing its Soul.

Andre watched Potato drink the Spirit God Potion and felt the aura in Potato’s body begin to grow. But even after the Potion’s effects had completely faded, Potato still hadn’t crossed the threshold.
