Wizard: Grinding from Knight to Primogenitor
Chapter 162: Golden Ratio, One-Man Army
Chapter 162 -126: Golden Ratio, One-Man Army
Furthermore, the solution Roy gave him was completely unexpected.
Fusing Spiritual Power and Fighting Qi!
And at a precise ratio of 0.618 to 1, no less!
With such a precise ratio, he found it hard to believe that this was a solution Roy had just thought up on the spot.
After a few seconds of silence, the Flying Dragon Knight spoke slowly. “How did you come up with this method?”
“If I remember correctly, Spiritual Power is a power only Wizards can wield. Don’t tell me you’re a Wizard too.”
Roy shook his head, replying with a calm expression, “Spiritual Power isn’t exclusive to Wizards. Wizard Apprentices can use it too.”
“Anyone who cultivates a Meditation Technique can wield Spiritual Power just as they wield Fighting Qi.”
“I’ve given you the method for Fighting Qi Activation. We’re square now.”
“As for how you solve the problem of fusing Spiritual Power and Fighting Qi, that’s your business.”
With that said, he prepared to leave the City Lord’s Mansion.
Just then, the Flying Dragon Knight quickly said, “Could you perform Fighting Qi Mimicry for me just once?”
“It’s not that I don’t trust your solution. I just want to see the effects of Fighting Qi Mimicry with my own eyes.”
After a moment of thought, Roy nodded. “Alright.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, he began to fuse Spiritual Power and Fighting Qi to create Activated Fighting Qi.
Since this was just a demonstration, he didn’t create much Activated Fighting Qi. The fusion was complete in just ten or twenty seconds.
As the Flying Dragon Knight watched, the Activated Fighting Qi condensed behind Roy, forming a pair of silvery-white wings.
The moment the Fighting Qi wings formed, he gave them a gentle flap, and his entire body floated off the ground.
Roy didn’t fly very high, only a few meters or so off the ground.
After hovering for a few seconds, he slowly descended back to the ground and dispelled the Fighting Qi wings.
The Flying Dragon Knight stared at Roy, his expression complex. For a moment, he didn’t know what to say.
After about ten seconds, he spoke to Roy. “Er… are you still accepting students?”
“I have a student named Gavin Buckley. He’s from a commoner background and only began his Cultivation of a Breathing Technique six years ago, but he’s already a Black Iron Great Knight.”
“If you’re still taking students, I’d like for him to become your student.”
‘What?’
Roy looked at the Flying Dragon Knight in surprise. “I just took on my second student a few days ago,” he replied. “I don’t have any plans to accept a third for now.”
Hearing his reply, a look of disappointment washed over the Flying Dragon Knight’s face.
Gavin was his final and most cherished student.
But for the sake of Gavin’s future, he wouldn’t mind one bit if Gavin left his side to become a student of the Dark Night Knight.
Sighing in resignation, the Flying Dragon Knight continued, “If you ever plan to take on more students, please consider Gavin.”
“He’s truly a promising talent. If you were willing to teach him personally, there’s a good chance he could become a Golden Great Knight in the future.”
“We can discuss students some other time,” Roy said slowly. “Is there anything else? If not, I’m returning to the Northern Territory.”
‘No matter how talented Gavin is, I have no intention of taking him on as a student.’
“Nothing else.”
“Thank you for solving a problem that’s troubled me for years.”
The Flying Dragon Knight looked at Roy earnestly.
“Don’t mention it.”
With that, Roy turned and left without the slightest hesitation.
He soon vanished from the Flying Dragon Knight’s sight.
After watching Roy depart, the Flying Dragon Knight immediately left his own courtyard to find Gavin, who was in his room cultivating his Breathing Technique.
“Master, what brings you here?”
Gavin asked quickly, looking at the Flying Dragon Knight in confusion.
At that moment, he had no idea that the Flying Dragon Knight had nearly ‘cast him out,’ and assumed his master had simply come to check on his Cultivation progress.
“I have a task for you,” the Flying Dragon Knight replied instantly.
“What is it?” Gavin asked.
“Return to the Kingdom at once. I don’t care what methods you use, but I need you to acquire a Wizard’s Meditation Technique as soon as possible,” the Flying Dragon Knight said urgently.
‘Acquire a Meditation Technique?’
Just as Gavin was about to question him further, the Flying Dragon Knight handed him the parchment he was holding.
Gavin took the parchment and quickly scanned it.
‘Fighting Qi Activation?’
‘Fusing Spiritual Power and Fighting Qi?’
‘What is all this?’
Gavin looked at the Flying Dragon Knight, baffled.
“This is the solution to Fighting Qi Mimicry.”
“If you want to master Fighting Qi Mimicry, you must cultivate a Meditation Technique. Then, you have to fuse Spiritual Power and Fighting Qi in this exact ratio to achieve Fighting Qi Activation.”
“Your fellow senior apprentices and I are too old. Even with a Meditation Technique, it’s too late for us.”
“You’re still young, and more talented than we are. As long as you can find a Meditation Technique, you will surely be able to master Fighting Qi Mimicry.”
The Flying Dragon Knight wished he could master Fighting Qi Mimicry himself.
But he knew he would never get the chance.
Although he’d never encountered a living Wizard or Wizard Apprentice, it didn’t take a genius to know that at nearly ninety years old, he had no hope of even beginning, Meditation Technique or not.
Forget Meditation Techniques—even with Breathing Techniques, it was impossible to form a Life Seed after the age of forty.
From the first glance at the writing on the parchment, Gavin knew it wasn’t the Flying Dragon Knight’s hand.
He knew that the Flying Dragon Knight had been researching Fighting Qi Mimicry for over a decade.
