Wizard: Building a Golem Legion From Zero
Chapter 499 - 487: Spending Just a Hundred Million
Chapter 499: Chapter 487: Spending a "Little" Hundred Million on the Budget
Three and a half billion Low-Level Magic Stones.
For any Second-level Wizard, this sum of money meant centuries of a luxurious lifestyle, along with a stable cultivation journey completely free of resource worries.
But for him, it was merely the starting point to becoming a Morning Star Wizard.
"Jarvis."
"Initiate the ’Legion Expansion and Combat Power Iteration Plan’."
Allen leaned back in his chair. "We have ample funds. We need to hurry and accumulate power during this window before my promotion to Morning Star Wizard.
"Bring up the current organization and construction cost of a standard synthesis Golem legion."
[Current Standard Synthesis Golem Legion Organization]
Ground Units: 200 Spider-Killer Type IIs, 20 Purgatories, 100 Peacekeeper PX-3s.
Aerial Units: 3 Magic Eye Type Vs, 10 Demon Eye Type II Air Fortresses, 6 Storm Falcons, 1 Hive Mother Ship, 2 Floating Transport Ships.
[Comprehensive Cost per Legion: 13.22 Million Low-Level Magic Stones]
Allen looked at the data and shook his head.
"It’s time to increase the numbers."
He stood up, walked to the holographic projection table, and quickly adjusted the parameters.
"Increase the number of Spider-Killer Type IIs to a thousand. They are cannon fodder, but also the cornerstone of positional warfare. Two hundred isn’t enough to fill the front lines.
"Increase Purgatories to thirty, and Magic Eye Type IIs to fifty, to build an absolute air supremacy and firepower Suppression network.
"And increase the core battlefield vanguard, the Peacekeeper PX-3, to three hundred."
[Commander, the unit cost of a PX-3 is 120,000 Low-Level Magic Stones. Adding 200 units will increase the single-item cost by 24 million.]
"You get what you pay for."
Allen didn’t back down due to the massive budget increase. "The boost in strength is tangible. Continue.
"Increase the Magic Eye Type Vs to five, and Storm Falcons to ten. Expand the Hive Mother Ships to three, and Floating Transport Ships to five."
The data on the light screen rapidly refreshed, and a new legion model was fully constructed.
[New standard Golem legion organization confirmed.]
[Cost per legion: 40.39 million Low-Level Magic Stones.]
The cost had more than tripled.
But Allen knew very well that the combat prowess of this newly organized legion was absolutely not a simple three-fold multiplier.
A heavy infantry line composed of three hundred PX-3s, combined with the aerial firepower of fifty Magic Eye Type IIs, would be enough to crush any Second-level Wizard Organization in a head-on battle.
"It’s still not enough," Allen continued. "Establish a separate ’Ranged Strike Legion’."
He pulled up two new pieces of equipment that had been finalized earlier.
"Organization: 50 custom ’Purgatories’ with reinforced chassis, each carrying one ’Dongfeng Type I’. Coordinate this with 5 ’Ghost Bats’ for high-altitude guidance.
"This legion won’t participate in direct combat. They will solely be responsible for over-the-horizon strikes."
[Ranged Strike Legion formation complete.]
"The Guard troops also need to be expanded," Allen continued ordering. "Build two more Cyclops units and two more Gabriel units."
Doubling the number of his ultimate spear and shield weapons meant he now had the confidence to handle multiple Second-level Wizards simultaneously.
"Excellent," Allen nodded. "Upgrade all twenty of the existing legions to the new standard. At the same time, build ten new legions of the exact same specifications.
"Summarize the current active combat units and calculate the total scale based on the new organization."
[Active Combat Unit Roster Updated:]
[Standard Synthesis Golem Legions: 30]
[Flight Patrol Squadrons: 3]
[Mine Garrison Forces: 30]
[Ranged Strike Legion: 1]
[Guard Troops: Cyclops x5, Gabriel x5]
[Various Special Operations Golems and Logistics Forces.]
[Estimated Total Cost: Approximately 1.0274 Billion Low-Level Magic Stones.]
Spending less than a third of his 3.5 billion in savings had bought him over thirty fully armed, heavily armored legions with explosive combat power.
Allen did a rough estimate—once this wave of expansion was complete, the number of Second-level Wizards in the entire Wizarding World who could defeat him on a frontal battlefield could probably be counted on one hand.
To an Alchemy Wizard, wealth was combat power.
He was well aware that his Wesren Heavy Industry was developing too fast—so fast that it was already starting to encroach upon the interests of certain existences. Before it truly grew into a towering tree, even the slightest storm could capsize it.
Promoting to a Morning Star Wizard still required time, and this vacuum period had to be filled with absolute martial force.
As for the remaining money?
He would save it for building Level 4 Golems in the future, as well as for expanding Cybertron.
"Based on our existing production lines, immediately purchase the missing materials from the Association," Allen said as he turned and walked toward the balcony. "I want this plan completed within a year."
[Command confirmed. The production task pressure has been raised to its absolute limit, shortening the construction period to twelve months. However, the current material reserves will be depleted in seventeen days and require immediate replenishment.]
"No problem."
Standing by the edge of the balcony, Allen didn’t log into the Panorama Mall. Instead, he directly opened the Association’s internal material trading platform.
Every single item on here had been strictly certified by the Association, guaranteeing both quality and origin.
He clicked on the "Raw Materials" category, his eyes locking directly onto the strategic resources measured in "tons."
[High-Purity Orichalcum Ingots, Today’s Inventory: 37,000 tons.]
Allen directly entered "37000" into the quantity field.
[Purchase Confirmed.]
[Liquid Mithril, Inventory: 190 tons.]
"190."
...
Allen remained expressionless as his fingers continuously tapped on the light screen.
He was like a housewife sweeping up goods at a grocery market, only his shopping cart was filled with enough strategic resources to arm an entire continent.
In just ten short minutes, the entire daily inventory for over seventy types of High-tier metals and composite materials on the trading platform was instantly cleared out.
Just as he was about to purchase the final batch of "Void Crystals," a red system notification forcibly popped up.
[Warning: Your single transaction total has exceeded one billion Low-Level Magic Stones, triggering the Association’s Level 2 financial review mechanism. Your trading privileges have been temporarily frozen.]
[The review has been submitted to the Financial Audit Committee and is expected to be completed within three working days.]
Allen raised an eyebrow.
There was such a mechanism?
He originally thought his authority was high enough, never expecting to still trigger risk control.
However, barely three minutes later—
DING!
A crisp notification sound rang out.
[Respected Investigator Allen Wesren, your financial review has been approved. Upon investigation, your trading behavior complies with Association regulations. The temporary freeze has been lifted.]
[Addendum: A friendly reminder from the Financial Audit Committee to consume rationally and guard against impulsive buying.]
Allen’s lips twitched in a half-smile.
It seemed his credit rating was quite high.
He ignored the "friendly reminder," swept the final batch of materials into his cart, and confirmed the payment.
Not long after, the exclusive Teleportation Array inside the Deep Blue Residence emitted a blue light.
As the light shone brightly, a standardized cargo crate, five meters on each side, appeared steadily in the center of the Teleportation Array.
Immediately following that, before the light could dissipate, a second one appeared, then a third...
The Teleportation Array was busier than ever before as identical giant metal crates continuously poured out, looking as if they would soon overflow the courtyard.
Allen stood outside the door and raised his hand toward the mountain of supplies.
A pitch-black spatial rift silently unfurled in front of him. On the other side of the rift was the massive material storage yard of the Cybertron Workshop.
With a mere thought, the thousands of spatial compression crates piled up in the courtyard were suddenly seized as if by a giant invisible hand, all pouring directly into the spatial rift!
RUMBLE—!
The entire Cybertron Half-Plane seemed to let out a deafening roar at this very moment.
The output power of the thirty Earth Vein Magic Furnaces was instantly pushed to its limit. Blistering torrents of energy surged through the pipes crisscrossing the entire steel city, flowing toward every single production line.
Thirty automated production lines activated at full speed!
Hundreds of "Hercules" heavy Engineering Golems took heavy strides, rushing to their respective posts!
Countless "Blessing" servants shuttled across the assembly lines like a swarm of ants!
Sparks flew everywhere, and Runes flashed brilliantly.
The clashing of steel, the humming of energy, and the roaring of machinery all merged together into a grand industrial symphony.
Once this batch of legions was completed, his strength would also reach its peak!
