Chapter 1227: A separate reward
Chapter 1227: A separate reward
All of the things that Ye Qing Huan told Lin Fan were things that he kept in mind.
He knew a few things about the Five Great Sects, but it wasn’t as if he knew much about them.
The Five Great Sects were the peak factions on this cultivation continent, so there was only so much that could be gathered from outsiders. So until now, there was very little information that they had been able to gather on the Five Great Sects.
The few scraps of information that Yue Lan and Ming Xin had been able to get were all related to the public knowledge that the Five Great Sects released.
All of these were things that the Five Great Sects wanted others to know about them, so it wasn’t as if the information that was released was that important. All of this was nothing more than superficial information about the Five Great Sects.
Now he was finally getting some real information about the Five Great Sects.
At the same time, since Ye Qing Huan was willing to share…
“Can you tell me a bit more about the Five Great Sects. I want to know what kind of structure the Heavenly Demon Sect and the other four sects have.”
But to Lin Fan’s surprise, Ye Qing Huan just simply shook her head as she said, “It’s not the right time yet.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help looking at Ye Qing Huan with a strange confused look when he heard this.
After all, it wasn’t as if he was asking anything that was really considered a secret like the things that Ye Qing Huan had told him so far. These were things that would be considered normal knowledge for anyone that was even a bit close to any of the Five Great Sects.
It really shouldn’t matter if he knew this or not.
But it didn’t seem like Ye Qing Huan wanted to say anything.
Rather, she just looked at him with a smile as she said, “It’s still too early for you to know this. You can just trust me when I say this.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a bitter smile when he heard this.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to believe her, it was just that it really was hard to believe her when this was all that she said.
Though it seemed like Ye Qing Huan could guess what Lin Fan was thinking when he looked at her like this. It was hard for her not to guess what he was thinking when he made it quite clear what he was thinking.
So in the end, Ye Qing Huan just added, “If you know about this now, you’ll be dragged into it. If you don’t know, you’ll at least have an excuse when they come for you.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help knitting his brows when he heard this.
After all, Ye Qing Huan had suddenly revealed a serious look when she said this.
He opened and closed his mouth a few times, as if there was something that he wanted to say. But in the end, he chose not to say anything since he knew that if he were to ask anything, then it would be detrimental to what Ye Qing Huan wanted to do.
Knowing even a little bit would be more than enough to cast away the veil of ignorance from him.
In the end, Lin Fan just gave a sigh and a nod to show that he understood.
Ye Qing Huan immediately changed the topic by saying, “Alright, there’s no point in us staying here any longer. Let’s go and pick something up.”
As she turned to leave, Lin Fan couldn’t help looking at her with a strange look.
While walking away, Ye Qing Huan added, “They’ll take these kids to an orphanage that will raise them and teach them how to cultivate.”
“An orphanage under the Heavenly Demon Sect?”
Ye Qing Huan didn’t even turn back as she replied, “Yes.”
But then after a pause, she added, “It will be an orphanage that will be in my territory, so you don’t have to worry about it. I’ll make sure that they’re taken care of properly.”
Lin Fan didn’t say anything, but the look on his face made it clear what he was thinking.
Even though Ye Qing Huan couldn’t see the look on his face, what she said was as if she had seen it.
“These kids were kidnapped because they had the potential to become sword puppets for the Mount Hua Sword Sect. It isn’t as if they have no talent at all if they were chosen for such a role.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a strange smile when he heard this.
He knew that she was right, so he didn’t reject what she said.
It was just that Ye Qing Huan had said this in a very strange way.
Still, it was clear that Ye Qing Huan had already thought everything through with the way that she answered all of his questions. So instead of asking more questions, it was better to just go along with her.
Lin Fan was also curious where she was taking him.
After walking for a bit, Ye Qing Huan suddenly came to a stop and turned around to look at Lin Fan.
Lin Fan looked back at her with a confused look since he had no idea what they were doing here.
Ye Qing Huan suddenly reached her hand out towards Lin Fan as if she was expecting something from him, but that just made Lin Fan even more confused as he had no idea what she wanted from him.
So in the end, Ye Qing Huan said, “Hand over the ancestor’s token that you took earlier.”
Lin Fan couldn’t help revealing a wry smile when he heard this.
It wasn’t as if it was a hidden fact that he had taken this, it was just that he didn’t expect Ye Qing Huan to ask for this all of a sudden. The ancestor of the Clear Star Sect had been taken down by him, so the loot that came from him should belong to Lin Fan.
Still, Lin Fan took it out in the end since he believed that Ye Qing Huan had a reason for asking for this.
After Lin Fan took this out, Ye Qing Huan took the token and turned back around without any hesitation. She raised the token in front of her and seemed to be presenting it to the ground in front of her.
There was a part of Lin Fan that couldn’t help thinking that there was something wrong with Ye Qing Huan, but that part of him was suppressed by the part that trusted Ye Qing Huan.
In the end, he was proven right by the fact that the ground started to shake.
It seemed that there was something that was under the ground that was reacting to the token that Ye Qing Huan held.
It didn’t take long for a door to open in the ground and a set of stairs leading into the ground to reveal itself.
After this set of stairs revealed itself, Ye Qing Huan didn’t waste any time in heading down. Lin Fan hesitated for a second before following behind Ye Qing Huan.
After coming down, he could feel the spiritual energy that filled this place.
That was more than enough to show what kind of things were in this place.
This was most likely the hidden treasure vault of the Clear Star Sect if it was opened with the token of the ancestor.
It was just that Lin Fan didn’t understand how Ye Qing Huan knew that this was here.
She didn’t even look at him as she moved deeper into the vault.
With the way that she moved, it was as if she knew exactly what she was looking for and where it was hidden.
After following her for a bit, they arrived at a place that was clearly different from the rest of the vault. It was clear that this was the place that the Clear Star Sect hid the treasures of their sect with how much security was placed here.
It was just that with the token from the ancestor, they easily passed through all of that security.
They were allowed to pass without a single trap activating.
With this token, they were the sect master as far as the arrays were concerned.
Ye Qing Huan ignored some of the things that seemed quite expensive until she finally made her way to something that seemed quite normal.
But she used the token to take this thing out before handing it over to Lin Fan.
Lin Fan couldn’t help looking at her with a strange look until he took a closer look at this thing. The moment that he took a closer look, there was a shocked expression along with traces of disbelief that appeared, as if he couldn’t believe that Ye Qing Huan would give something like this to him.
Ye Qing Huan just looked at Lin Fan with a smile as she waited for him to put it away.
“How did you know that this was here?” Lin Fan couldn’t help slowly asking.
“You shouldn’t underestimate the intelligence network of the Heavenly Demon Sect.” Ye Qing Huan said with a confident smile.
A strange look appeared on Lin Fan’s face after hearing this, but he gave a nod in response.
After all, this item was a seed that was filled with pure wood elemental energy.
Even though he had already completed his physique, it wasn’t as if more sources of elemental energy would be bad for him.
