With My System, I Can Even Tame Gods

Chapter 1192 1192: The traps have activated

Since the treasures were right in front of them, it wasn’t as if they could do nothing.

Even if they couldn’t take all of it, they had to at least take something so they wouldn’t be empty handed.

That was when the groups started reaching out for one or two things on their own.

But the moment that they did…

“Look out!”

When one of the members of the second prince’s group tried to take one of the pills that was in front of them, they were suddenly pulled back by another member. This second member rushed forward with a sword raised and blocked the slash that had been coming at them.

After blocking this slash, they looked at the south duke’s faction that was in front of them.

The south duke’s faction was a bit confused why they were being glared at like this, but they didn’t back down as they glared back at this knight.

“Do you want to start a fight?”

They were even more confused when they heard this as they had no idea what this knight was talking about. They hadn’t done anything as they wanted to see what would happen after this pill was taken.

So they certainly didn’t have any idea of why they were being accused.

“We didn’t do anything.” They said honestly in the end, but it was clear the knight didn’t believe them.

“You’re trying to say that you didn’t do anything when I saw you send that attack with my own eyes? Who are you trying to fool here?” The knight said with a scoff.

After he said this, the south duke’s group looked even more confused.

They couldn’t help looking at each other as if they were trying to figure out what the knight had said, but none of them seemed to know. In the end, they just chose to believe themselves rather than what someone else said.

“We didn’t do anything.”

“You’re still trying to hide it?”

With the way that things were progressing, it really seemed like it was a matter of time before they started fighting with each other.

But in the end, the two leaders of the groups knew that there was nothing to gain from fighting with each other right now. All that would happen is that they would weaken themselves and allow others to take the loot.

“Keep away from us.”

That was all that they said after separating their groups.

While it was impossible to prove what happened, the one thing that they could do was make sure that their people didn’t approach each other for something to happen.

Then there was a tense silence that hung in the air as everyone looked at the pile of pills in front of them, but none of them actually moved towards them. The only thing that they could do was stare at this pile of pills without reaching for it.

But eventually someone seemed to lose their patience and went forward.

The moment that their hand was about to grab the pill in front of them, there was another attack that appeared.

Only this time, it was a wide area attack.

It wasn’t a single slash like before, this was a wide range magic attack that appeared.

At the same time, the moment that they saw this attack, they couldn’t help deeply knitting their brows.

That was because it was a wave of flames that had been released.

Flames that could destroy the pills that they all wanted.

Were they trying to destroy it all so that no one would be able to get anything?

Naturally they wouldn’t allow something like that to happen, so the magicians of the second prince’s group came forward to create a wall of water that they used to block the flames.

But they were caught off guard by the power of this flame spell, so they had to use extra power just to stop the flames.

Once the flames had been stopped, they pointed at the south duke’s group to say, “How dare you do something like this?”

Though the south duke’s group had seen the flames, they didn’t understand why it was considered their fault. After all, it was clear that this was nothing more than a trap that was set by the previous owner of these cultivation ruins.

Why would they think that it was related to them?

But it didn’t seem like the second prince’s group was willing to talk it out, so they had no choice but to pull out their weapons.

The leader of the south duke’s group looked at the leader of the second prince’s group to try and talk, but it didn’t seem like he was willing to listen. So the only thing that he could say was, “We didn’t do it.”

However, all that did was make it seem like he was being defensive.

“We saw you casting the spell and you’re saying that you didn’t do it! You should try to come up with some kind of better lie than that!”

The leader of the south duke’s group just deeply knitted his brows when he heard this.

After all, he could hear that there was something special about the way that the leader of the second prince’s group said this. It was clear that there was something that he was demanding from them.

Without even asking, he could tell that it was related to the pills.

Before he could say anything though, there was something that appeared in front of them.

“Magic barrier!” The leader of the south duke’s group said immediately after seeing this.

The magicians came forward to put up this magic barrier, but they found that it was much stronger than they thought it was. So they had no choice but to use even more of their mana to keep themselves safe.

As for the second prince’s group, they couldn’t help being taken aback seeing the lightning suddenly appear like this.

“What is happening?”

“You’re asking what is happening when you’re the one that attacked us?” The leader of the south duke’s group immediately accused the second prince’s group.

There was no mistaking this since they had even seen the staff being raised to cast the spell.

It was impossible for them to get out of this.

But the second prince’s duke was just as confused as the south duke’s group had been when they had been accused.

None of them could understand what was happening.

Before any of them could take the time to figure this out, there were more attacks that they had to guard against.

They could see that the attacks were coming from the other groups, so they assumed that it was all out war at this point.

Since both sides were attacking each other, there was no need for them to hold back anymore. It didn’t take long before the two groups were just throwing out attacks at each other like it was nothing.

With this escalating, it soon turned into an all out fight like they wanted to slaughter each other.

But that wouldn’t happen if they weren’t tricked into fighting like this.

They had been holding back at first since they didn’t want to lose too much by attacking, but it didn’t take long before they were tricked into fighting with all their strength.

They saw that the enemies weren’t holding back, so they couldn’t hold back either.

It was just that what they saw was nothing more than an illusion.

From the beginning, everything that had happened was nothing more than an illusion.

There were attacks that happened, but the scenes that they saw of the other side releasing the attack were nothing more than illusions.

Even now, there were illusions and attacks that came from time to time that made them think that the other side was determined to kill them.

However, it wasn’t just these two groups that were going at it like this.

It was all six groups from all six factions that were fighting as if they wanted to kill each other.

Seeing them being manipulated like this, Haku couldn’t help being surprised by what was happening. It wasn’t just her, it was also the rest of the people that she had brought that were all acting this way.

The ones that were the most surprised and confused were the magicians that came with her.

After all, they should have been able to see through the illusions that Lin Fan made.

But even though they were looking right at them, they couldn’t tell how Lin Fan was creating these illusions. The only thing that they could figure out was the masterful way that Lin Fan was manipulating his mana.

Slowly, it seemed like the six groups were being worn down.

Once they were worn down like this, there was one more thing that they had to decide on.

“Do you think that it’ll be more likely that they’ll send people to investigate if their entire team disappears or will they send people if we allow a few of them to escape?” Lin Fan asked Haku.

Haku thought about it before saying, “It’ll be better to kill them all. It’ll make these cultivation ruins more mysterious and they’ll think that there’s something important here, so they’ll send more powerful people. Once we take care of them, it’ll be easier for us to incite chaos in the Kalos Empire.”

Lin Fan had to add, “If they’re stronger, you should know that it’ll be harder for me to use my illusions on them.”

“That’s fine.” Haku slowly revealed a confident smile after saying this, “I’ve already prepared something to deal with them, but this thing can only be used once. So I’m saving it for the stronger group.”

Lin Fan didn’t bother saying anything else as he simply gave a nod in response.
