Chapter 1165: Law domains

After landing, the two of them didn’t pay any attention to the black clothed attackers nor did they even look at Lin Fan who they were supposed to be protecting.

Instead, they just turned to look at Deng Ying who was on the ground.

While looking at him, there were smiles that appeared on their faces before the Fire Fist King asked, “Don’t you look pathetic?”

The Poison King was more tactful as he said, “Do you think that this is enough? There’s nothing that you can do for him.”

Deng Ying suddenly gave a sigh before saying, “I really tried, but it seems like there’s no other choice.”

The Fire Fist King and the Poison King stopped smiling before they asked, “Do you want us to take care of it for you?”

Deng Ying didn’t answer at first, but he eventually shook his head and said, “This is something that I should take care of myself. They are members of my family who have made this mistake.”

The Fire Fist King and the Poison King nodded before taking a step back away from Deng Ying.

The black clothed attackers could tell that something was off and that something bad was about to happen, so they didn’t waste any time in releasing their special trump cards.

All of them seemed to be carrying some kind of sphere that they threw down at the ground.

When this happened, there was a burst of smoke that came from all of them before it spread out and formed some kind of smokescreen.

Though they were Soul Formation Realm Cultivators, it didn’t seem like the ones from the Deng Family were able to do anything against this smoke. This smoke even seemed to be hazardous to them as they started coughing uncontrollably.

They had no idea what this smoke was, but it definitely didn’t seem like a normal thing.

However, the black clothed attackers were able to move normally as if they weren’t hindered by the smoke at all. If they were it would have been strange since they were the ones that had created this smoke in the first place.

After leaving behind the experts of the Deng Family, the black clothed attackers all went for Deng Ying.

It was clear that they were planning on taking him down before any of the members of the Deng Family could help him.

“Father, watch out!” The experts of the Deng Family shouted as they tried to break free of the hindrance from the smoke, but they weren’t able to do anything against it. It was as if this smoke was some kind of special barrier that they just couldn’t break free from.

Only Deng Ying didn’t seemed worried at all when he saw this.

He just narrowed his eyes to look at the black clothed attackers that were surrounding him, but it seemed like he was focused on one figure in particular.

It was as if the others didn’t matter, he just wanted to see what this one black clothed attacker would do.

Once they surrounded him, the black clothed attackers took out something else.

All of them took out something that seemed like a rod, but they didn’t hold those things for long before they stabbed them into the ground in front of them.

As soon as the rods were in the ground, there was this energy that seemed to come from the rods that spread all around the ones that stabbed them down. With the way that it spread, it was almost as if it was looking for something similar to it.

It was connecting to the other rods.

When these rods were connected by this energy, there were lines that were formed in the ground.

What these rods were was some kind of array and it was targeting Deng Ying who was standing at the center of it.

But even then, Deng Ying didn’t seem worried at all as he watched them form this array around him.

Those that had sharp eyes would see that there was something strange around Deng Ying.

This was some kind of green energy that seemed to be surrounding him, almost as if it was restricting him.

What this most likely was was some kind of item that had been used against him to restrict his power, or it would have been impossible for a Rebirth Realm Cultivator like Deng Ying to have been sent flying like this.

Deng Ying continued to watch as they finished creating the array.

Once they were done, Deng Ying finally took a step forward and said, “If you had admitted your mistakes, then I would have tried to find a way out of this for you. But it’s already too late, even I can’t save you now that you’ve done this in front of two of the Eight Kings.”

The way that he said this with a sigh was as if he had given up on something.

Those that heard this couldn’t help looking confused about what he meant by this, but Deng Ying didn’t care at all about how the others reacted at all as he continued looking at that same person. It was as if he only cared about how that one person would react.

As for their reaction, they just trembled when they heard this.

However, it seemed like they didn’t want to listen to what Deng Ying wanted to say as they started urging the others to use even more energy.

While they were doing this, those with sharp eyes would see that the green energy around Deng Ying was changing. It was as if there was something that was acting on it that was making it lose effect.

When it was done, the green energy disappeared without a trace.

“Seal him away!” The black clothed attackers said as they activated the array that they created.

Once the array was activated, there was this pattern that appeared on the ground under Deng Ying. It seemed like this pattern was about to do something to him.

“Crack.”

Before the array could actually do anything, there were cracks that formed in it.

Then before anyone could react, the array shattered to pieces and disappeared without a trace.

There was only silence that followed after the array shattered as no one could understand what had just happened.

The one that broke the silence was the one black clothed attacker that Deng Ying had been staring at the entire time.

“How is this possible? This was specially designed to deal with you! This was an array that even a Rebirth Realm Cultivator would be helpless against!”

“That is if you catch them off guard. If you give them time to react, then this thing is nothing more than a plaything that they can easily deal with.” Deng Ying said in a casual voice in response to what the black clothed attacker said.

Though their face couldn’t be seen, the look in their eyes was more than enough to show what they were thinking.

“Run!”

But it turned out that none of them could move at all.

They were being suppressed by something that they couldn’t see at all, but they could feel it all around them. It completely wrapped around them, so they weren’t able to move a single muscle even though they were trying to run with all their might.

“What did you do?” The black clothed attacker asked in a shocked voice.

It wasn’t Deng Ying who explained what happened in the end as he continued looking at the black clothed figure with a complicated look.

Rather, it was the Fire Fist King and the Poison King who took the role of explaining it as they took turns speaking.

“This is the law domain that only those in the Rebirth Realm can touch.”

“This is something that no one under the Rebirth Realm can even understand since they have no grasp of laws, but that means that they can’t break free from these law domains.”

“The power of laws is what makes Rebirth Realm Cultivators so strong in the first place.”

“The power of laws…it’s what makes the fundamentals of this world.”

Though it seemed like they were explaining for the sake of everyone here, everyone clearly knew that they were only saying this for a specific person.

It was as if they had orchestrated all of this just to give that person a chance to see what a law domain was like.

Lin Fan had been carefully watching this law domain the entire time, but he couldn’t help the strange look that was on his face. That was because there was a certain feeling that was familiar to him that was coming from this law domain.

Like they said, this was something that one should only come in contact with once they reached the Rebirth Realm.

But if that was the case, why did he get that feeling from that strange suction force that was inside of his dantian?

Deng Ying had remained silent the entire time while the Fire Fist King and the Poison King explained everything. The only thing that he did during this time was look at the same dark clothed attacker as before with the same complicated look in his eyes.

After a long silence, he finally said, “Why did you do this?”

The way that he spoke was as if he knew the person that was hiding behind these dark clothes.

Only that person didn’t say anything.

So in the end, Deng Ying said, “Xuan’er, I’m talking to you. Why did you choose to do this in the end?”
