Knox’s voice wasn’t loud, but his expression was grim, his brow furrowed tightly, a cold smile on his lips. When he spoke, his voice was intentionally lowered, simmering with anger: "He’s got some nerve, demanding people be sent to the Simmons Family."

"I understand. I’ll head back right away."

"Hmph, then let him wait. If he can’t, he should just head back where he came from."

"Big brother, I’ve told you many times, I’m not a three-year-old kid. I know very well what to do and what not to do, so you don’t need to manage me. If you like teaching people so much, why not become a teacher?"

Knox hung up the phone and stood in the living room in a daze for a while, gradually sensing something was off. He suddenly turned around, his eyes locking onto Scarlett Yates.

"Was that Hayes Simmons calling earlier?" Scarlett replied, not quite addressing his question.

"Yes, big brother called," Knox said as he walked towards her.

"What’s wrong?" He saw Scarlett’s worried expression with furrowed brows and couldn’t help but find it odd.

When he reached her, Scarlett asked seriously, "You mentioned earlier that Hayes has a woman outside. Do you know her?"

Knox chuckled, nodding, "Yes, I know her."

"Then you should know that woman is my friend, right?" Scarlett continued.

"Yes, I know."

"Knox Simmons, be honest with me. Is Hayes still in touch with Stella? Didn’t they break off already?"

Back then, Stella Nelson vowed to have a clean break with Hayes Simmons, never to speak again—even in death.

She made that declaration when they were flying to Y Country together.

Knox’s face showed a hint of surprise.

He thought Scarlett would ask about him and Matthew Saxon, not realizing she was only worried about her friend.

"Baby Scarlett, is your friend very close to you?"

Scarlett nodded without hesitation, "Yes, she’s my best friend."
