Chapter 1977 1977: Cap 1972: 5th Art of the Eclipse Blade...
Pov Paradox:
I was finishing the construction of the Ritual. Each of the assembled parts had already been refined and implemented into the ritual. Only Vecna’s Soul was still missing, and even so, the Rings of Laws ran through his body, as did the two complementary currents of Concept, the powers of Hatred and Greed.
“Bitch… you’re making more than just a body!!!” (Vecna)
“If you had the possibility to remake your body as you wished, wouldn’t you take advantage of it?” (me)
“Fortunately, Zenos managed to get more than enough materials for me.” (me)
Vecna is nothing more than a talking sphere now, unable to move or do anything. His consciousness is maintained by pure punishment, the torment of not being in control of anything and being just a tool controlled by others. That is the greatest punishment for a controlling maniac like him.
Before me lay a complete body, appearance and function were everything I ever wanted. I don’t need to be more beautiful than necessary, I don’t need to be physically weak, a totally perfect body.
“A complete failure, just as I expected.” (me)
“Now the final step.” (me)
“< Chaos >” (me)
Everything trembles, Zenos’ power flows into me. I have gathered this power from him for months during his battles or when he was unconscious, all to avoid using my own power.
While everything trembled, Starfire gathered above my hand, where it writhed as the stars within formed two different colors.
I unleashed this raw Chaos power upon the body and let it act without a guiding will. Chaos’ instinct is to break the rules. It didn’t take long for the entire body to be destroyed and deformed, but I achieved what I wanted.
“With this, all traces of my power in the body were integrated with its source changing, I also adapted the body to the Concept of Chaos that Zenos is achieving.” (me)
“You’re just using him!” (Vecna)
“Yes, just as he’s using me, I never denied that.” (me)
“Now come here…” (me)
“Things won’t work as you plan!” (Vecna)
“I don’t plan anything, I tried that in the past and failed, I’m just going with the flow, taking what I can and doing only what’s within my reach.” (me)
I use my bandages to pull Vecna’s Soul to me, then I throw him onto the devastated body on the ground.
As soon as the Soul touches the body, the final ritual begins, the destroyed body fully recovers in completely different conditions, the perfection of before no longer existed, it was all natural, a natural, primitive and flawed beauty.
“There are no people without flaws, it is these flaws that highlight the beautiful.” (me)
Vecna’s Soul could no longer speak; its Laws, born from my Paradox, now form into opposing mantras. If before they sought control, now they seek lack of control. Meanwhile, the two Concepts contained within it are transformed into a single, malevolent Concept used to reconstruct an Existential Core.
A core full of malice in a pure and immaculate body; only the Soul and Consciousness are missing for it to be complete.
“< Exist and Inherit >” (me)
“< Be Born Before Death >” (me)
“< Grow in Oblivion >” (me)
“< Mantra of Liberation from Chaos: Mark of Paradox >” (me)
From my head emerges a symbol of infinity, from my left hand emerges a formless shadow, and from my right hand emerges a tear of blood. Joining my two hands in front of my head, I make the three into one.
My body disintegrates and flows in particles into the now complete body; everything I am transforms into a new Soul. The memories, emotions, and thoughts of Zenos’ two lives mingle with the few I share with my true self; a new Soul is generated in embryonic form.
I open my eyes, feeling the weight of this body as well as the lack of power within it. My consciousness is weak, and my emotions are almost nonexistent.
“Incomplete, more incomplete than I expected…” (me)
I never intended to create the complete body, mind, and soul, but I hoped to leave a firmer foundation for Zenos to complete the process.
I stand up and see that this body is still translucent, the soul is only beginning to be generated and still needs to be nourished, the Existential Spark has not yet ignited and awaits the burning of the core I created.
“Which option will you choose…?” (me)
“Inherit what I once was or sacrifice what I am in order to transform what I was…?” (me)
“She can’t choose and created me for this, but it didn’t seem like she could, maybe he can make the choice or create a new one…” (me)
“I can only wait…” (me)

Pov Zenos:
“Today will be our last meeting, you damn bird!!” (me)
“I’m going to destroy your body and force that bitch to show up!!!” (Phoenix)
“I will not be anyone’s tool!!!” (Phoenix)
The Phoenix flies towards me, its body consisting of 2 bird claws, 2 pairs of wings, 3 tails and a head, everything on its body is burning intensely in dark blue, a complete flaming bird kilometers high.
Its flight towards me looked like a volcano erupting against a grain of dust, but I was ready, with the Dagger and the Sword in hand vibrating with emotion, my wings also opening as I launch myself against these wild Blue Flames.
Its beak and my sword collide creating shockwaves that make space itself ripple, in a pack of force I was sent flying through a mountain in the process before creating a colossal trench upon landing on my feet.
The damned bird was close to me again, its claws capable of tearing through the very power of reality slashing towards me, but I threw the dagger at its head as I advanced, passing between its claws and gripping the sword with both hands, I slashed towards its belly.
The flames on its belly opened, forming a mouth with sharp teeth that tried to close around me. I spun, concentrating the power of Chaos in my wings; all the flames touched by my wings changed direction.
“< Chaos Slash >” (me)
“< Pulse of Flames >” (Phoenix)
After pushing the flames away from its body, I made the first test, using the power of Chaos on the blades I carried. The dagger shattered into pieces, quickly returning to my hand where it reformed, and the two blades darkened with stars inside.
I slash forward once more, and the space expands nine centimeters along with the blades as if being pushed. The flames separate, and I try to sharpen the blades. With the dagger, I manage to create a claw that was trying to cut me from behind.
Before I achieve any satisfactory result, the Phoenix’s entire body unleashes explosions of blue flames in all directions. I am sent 10 kilometers back, where I face the Phoenix.
Without saying anything, we both make our moves simultaneously, advancing against each other. My sword defends against its claws, its flames impede my dagger. Our exchanges of blows become increasingly rapid and brutal, escalating to the point where real wounds accumulate on our bodies for several minutes.
The entire continent around us was already devastated, oceans burning in blue flames, continents cut in half, and even space becoming unstable due to the collision of our powers.
After thousands of blows exchanged, I was able to use more than just the power of Chaos; I was able to use the Concept of Chaos on my blades, but that was only an elementary level of weapon strengthening.
One thing I noticed was that damned bird doing the same to me. It took me a while to realize that it used fewer area-of-effect attacks, and its blows didn’t seem to contain much power. It even avoided using techniques; all it used was its body and the blue flames.
It was learning to better control its new flames and also to use its body more comfortably. It was using me to train, just as I was using it. That’s when I realized the nightmare power within it was growing and becoming more evident in its appearance.
His body became more detailed and his flames took on a more realistic appearance; his eyes also changed, becoming light blue.
Our battle has already devastated half this world, but it was worth it. My control over the Concept of Chaos was becoming more fluid with the battle.
I managed to move the power of the Concept of Chaos more freely through my body as well as my weapons, but this came at a price. My body was covered in burns that seemed corrosive; the flames wouldn’t go out, and I could feel them affecting my mind.
Of course, I wasn’t the only one injured. Phoenix’s body was full of cuts, and one of her wings even had a hole in it. All her wounds had Starfire burning in them.
Neither of us could extinguish the other’s flames, and our injuries were accumulating, but after the last confrontation, we stared at each other, both of us accumulating more power for this battle.
“Paradox is an abomination; he’s using you for his own purposes!” (Phoenix)
“I’m sure of it.” (me)
“When she gets everything, do you think there will be anything left of you!?” (Phoenix)
“Two wives, children, Divine Beasts, Heralds and companions will become toys in Paradox’s hands!!!” (Phoenix)
“How kind of you to point out the obvious!” (me)
“I imagine your next suggestion will be my death, won’t it?” (me)
“Your death would be better than the death of everyone around you, I saw your memories, I know how much you cherish them all.” (Phoenix)
“…” (me)
“I studied Paradox, I saw records so ancient that their universes of origin disappeared even before my birth!” (Phoenix)
“I heard accounts of Entities as ancient as War and Curse!” (Phoenix)
“Paradox is the calamity of all Existence! She is the one who created Hell! She transformed a Creature of the Abyss into one of the most Malignant Existences in all of existence!” (Phoenix)
“…” (me)
“I know she’s about to return, I’m not virtuous and I don’t care about you, I only want to preserve myself!!” (Phoenix)
“But I’m not lying!!!” (Phoenix)
“Let me kill you and I promise to be quick, I can even guarantee to protect your companions in your place, I can swear to the System itself!!!” (Phoenix)
I knew he might be telling the truth, Paradox didn’t hide that he was responsible for the emergence of the Ascended and the Anomalous Dragons, it could very possibly have something to do with Callidora.
One thing I noticed was that Callidora is very similar to Tarzor; their origins are clearly different, and yet both are beings who contain universes as a part of their bodies. I can’t deny that they are similar in a certain way, but I still trust my instincts more that Paradox isn’t the enemy.
“Enough listening to you… enough of this warm-up!!” (me)
“How about we both get serious!!!” (me)
“Foolish child!!!” (Phoenix)
“(I need to test…)” (me)
“< 5th Art of the Eclipse Blade… >” (me)
