Will of chaos

Chapter 1895 1895: Cap 1891: Demonic Chaos Part 8

I spent a long time staring at the Ascended, then briefly glanced at the other groups. We were the second ship, with the Ascended being the other futuristic-looking ship.

The war party was led by Ayden. It was impossible not to recognize that Armor. He was leading his group atop a horse-like creature, wings of energy floating behind the back of the large creature, surely an Anomalous monster.

Those guided by Hatred sat atop shadowy creatures. Their bodies were not visible, but their murderous intent was easily visible, emanating around them.

The Pride group consisted only of Ronan and dozens of maids dressed in flashy clothing. He sat on a marble throne adorned with ornate jewelry. The throne was floating, with the maids walking in space as if they were on Earth, accompanying the throne while serving food and drink to Ronan.

For Greed’s group, he was literally on the balcony of a crystal castle. If Ronan is too proud, then this Avatar of Greed was even worse. This time, he was an old man on that castle balcony, looking at me with undisguised desire, as if I were just another object in a store window he could buy.

“Davoth, who is he?” (me)

“Narhart, one of the members of Greed’s council.” (Davoth)

“Greed doesn’t have a special Avatar or anything like that. He uses a council of 10 Avatars as his main members, each of whom possesses a unique Greed. This one has the Collector’s Greed.” (Davoth)

“What does he collect?” (me)

“Everything. He wants to have a copy of everything in his collection. He even tried to collect a Death Goddess once, and was nearly eradicated by Death for it.” (Davoth)

“How can he be here? I thought you couldn’t send more forces here?” (me)

“They can, but not without a cost, a cost equal to or greater than the value of this universe, so no Entity should attempt it. Even if they managed to win the universe, in the end, they might still be in the red.” (Davoth)

“Be careful with him, your Chaos power won’t work well against him, that’s why he must have been chosen.” (Davoth)

“I’ll remember that.” (me)

Turning my eyes, I see what looked like a giant, highly modified tour bus. People in suits were at the controls, and through the large windows, I could see office desks where they were working, but I couldn’t see the person in the back.

Just by the way they were acting, they could only be the Merchant’s group, and they didn’t seem like they were here to fight.

The next group was unknown to me, and it didn’t seem like a very cohesive group either. They were Titans and monsters, all of them emanating Anomalous powers.

From their Auras, I already knew what they were. I also understood why they were here in this universe, but I didn’t understand why they were here like this.

“Why are these monsters here?” (Me)

“They’re trying to fish in troubled waters, or at least that’s what most of them are looking for. See that one up ahead?” (Davoth)

Looking ahead, I saw dozens of these Titans. Each one was colossal. The smallest was the size of a moon, but most were the size of entire planets. There was a Dragon made entirely of crystal and even a Wooden Colossus molded from the interweaving of countless trees.

When Davoth pointed to a specific spot, I noticed that on the shoulder of a giant wearing Stone Armor was what looked like a bird. But its body was made of flames, like a Phoenix. Even so, the image didn’t match the legends described in my ancient world. It looked more like an Eagle with a longer beak and two pairs of wings.

“Who is that bird?” (me)

“An Anomalous beast, too intelligent for its own good, knows it can’t survive as it is now. It naturally attracts Anomalous Creatures and other beings. Unlike the others around it, that bird seeks only one thing: refuge. It wants to use this event to show off, to promote itself, to ingratiate itself with an Entity.” (Davoth)

“Why would he…” (me)

“Master Zenos, it seems it’s almost time.” (Hades)

“Huh…?” (me)

“Two minutes…” (me)

After observing all the groups, my eyes turned to Callidora’s Envoy; he was smiling as he looked at everyone.

Suddenly, Niryna approaches him and marks his forehead directly with her blood. A wave of Infernal power courses through him, causing his body to change. Blood leaks out of his body, forming a crystal armor as his body doubles in size, his Aura becoming twice as strong.

“What is she doing…” (me)

“Following Callidora’s instructions.” (Davoth)

Just as Davoth spoke, Callidora appears behind Niryna, smiling. She looks around with a hideous smile, too toothy to be pleasant.

Callidora’s Envoy kneels in the space in front of Niryna before extending her hand. Niryna opens her mouth, and pure, horrific energy leaks out, causing the space to tremble and crack. It all gathers in her palm, letting a horrifying presence spread in all directions. No one dares approach as the seconds pass more and more slowly.

Soon, the accumulation of that horrible energy gathered into what looked like a green flame containing tormented souls. This ghostly flame was delivered into the large hands of Callidora’s Envoy, who stood there, turning to the sword-shaped ritual behind him. It seemed as if time had been measured as he placed this green flame into the entire ritual, which glowed green, absorbing everything at once.

“< Infernal Magic: Infernal Domain >” (Callidora’s Envoy)

“< Infernal Summon: Titan of Sin >” (Callidora’s Envoy)

“< Infernal Summon: Beast of Slaughter >” (Callidora’s Envoy)

“< Infernal Summon: Guardian of Purgatory >” (Callidora’s Envoy)

“< Activate >” (Callidora’s Envoy)

No one tried to stop him. His voice split into five, performing all the techniques at once, and no one tried to stop him. No one tried to get close, knowing something was protecting him. Something soon revealed itself when he finished activating everything. Something emerged from his shadow and sank into the miasma mist within the ritual in the shape of a sword. That’s when he began to scream.

“LADIES, GENTLEMEN, AND UNDEFINED BEINGS… I WELCOME YOU TO THE GREATEST SPECTACLE THIS UNIVERSE HAS EVER SEEN, AND DEPENDING ON YOUR RESULTS, PERHAPS THE LAST YOU WILL SEE!!!” (Callidora’s Envoy)

Callidora’s Envoy delivered another speech, but like me, everyone’s eyes were glued to the ritual behind him as they listened to his words.

The entire ritual lit up in green light, and gradually this light became the same green flame, with wails spreading to the surroundings. From within the ritual, a cloud of miasma writhed as if containing a monster within, but soon, what appeared to be a double stone door slowly revealed itself.

My eyes flick to Niryna, who, guided by her two servants, Lara and Dante, is walking toward us, her face a little pale.

“This event has only three rules: you must eliminate the one bearing the Stigma of Sin; second, you must stop the Infernal Summoning Ritual; and third, you must survive!” (Sent from Callidora)

Each of the rules had so many loopholes that it was impossible not to have been intentional; this is basically a Battle Royale filled with individuals capable of damaging entire universes.

Niryna wasn’t stopped by anyone, even though she was visibly weak. Everyone here understood that she wasn’t someone to be messed with. She was a daughter of Callidora, Callidora’s only daughter, and as such, the Entities behind them all must have issued warnings about her. The Ascended also knew about her and dared not do anything. When the Anomalous creatures appeared in the distance, they all seemed to possess wisdom and as such must have noticed everyone else’s lack of action, thus avoiding doing anything risky.

“Miss Niryna was kind enough to provide me with the materials and energy for this event. As such, I wouldn’t be able to participate. Other than that… you all don’t have that choice.” (Sent from Callidora)

As if waiting for these words, my hand begins to burn, but the burning reaches my Soul. A mark of a screaming ghost’s face surrounded by flames appears. It was a curse. I could feel it and considered using my chaos power to destroy it. But before I could, the voice of the Envoy of Callidora sounds amused.

“The mark you all received is that of the Sacrifice of Sin. This curse cannot be lifted, and as such, I warn those with such ability not to attempt to defy my words, or they will only trigger the immediate Sacrifice, regardless of whether they are Anomalous, Ascended, or Avatars.” (Sent)

“With this warning given, how about we start the SHOWWWW!!!!” (Sent from Callidora)

“HAHAHAHAHAAHA…!!!!” (Sent from Callidora)
