Will of chaos

Chapter 1883 - 1883: Cap 1879: Sacred Body

Fortunately, the rules established at the meeting are in effect, preventing the Entities from directly using their power in this universe while the dispute is ongoing. They can only use the power of their Avatars, as well as the power they granted their Avatars by taking their bodies.

If it weren’t for this, I wouldn’t even attempt to face an Avatar in the first place.

“(Now I need to go all out.)” (me)

“< Eclipse Law: Dagger of the Threshold >” (me)

“< Starsword: Awakening of the Path >” (me)

“< Threshold Dagger: Ascension of the Path >” (me)

Even though I’m under pressure and weakened doesn’t mean I’m powerless. When I learned I was going to face an Avatar, I was already prepared to face an Entity descending into its body. I had my own plans in motion.

Plans I have to change after meeting Raakoy and her cursed body, but I can’t help but feel apprehensive about taking Curse. I feel like my Soul would shatter just by her presence.

While my mind, body, and Soul were enduring the Curse’s pressure, I still forced myself to concentrate on my weapons. The Threshold Dagger formed in my left hand while the Eclipse Sword was still in my right. I then activated both weapons to awaken them.

From the beginning, the Threshold Dagger was a mirror technique of the Star Sword. One weapon uses the power of Law, the other uses Divine power. They are two opposing forces, but of the same origin. Since I had already discovered the path to awaken the Star Sword’s true form, I had been planning the same for the Threshold Dagger since the beginning of this technique’s creation.

The Star Sword transforms in my hand, its double-edged two-handed sword form transforming into a large single-edged katana. An ethereal crystal band, symbolizing a path, appears around the sword and my arm, while a dagger ethereally forms.

The sword had a serrated blade like the teeth of a beast, its blade seeming to reflect a stellar space that wasn’t around it.

The Threshold Dagger, on the other hand, had the appearance of a fragment of the starry sky. Since it was the first time I had awakened its path, the effect was even greater. Fragments flew from the dagger, forming fragmented rings around my arm and the dagger, transforming into a dagger made of countless fragments of different night skies, small fragments joined together in the form of a curved, fragmented blade. This new form replaced the single large fragment it had before.

But that wasn’t all. A sword also appeared, an ethereal sword made of dark energy particles, with a flow of energy forming a rune-like constellation within.

All of this happened very quickly and simultaneously, but it wasn’t enough. I already knew this, so I prepared everything for this moment. I couldn’t even pay attention to my surroundings, and ‘Curse’ was already near me before I realized it.

“<You thought it would allow you to use your power.>” (Curse)

“Too late…” (me)

“< Path of Chaos: Unholy Weapon >” (me)

“< Origin Curse: Corrosion of Harmony >” (Curse)

Curse was an ancient Entity. Even though it acted quickly, it still underestimated what it was undoing. It believed it could stop me mid-stride, or at least have the chance to strike seriously by taking advantage of my momentary unpreparedness.

The arrogance of an eternal being above all else, the lack of humility, and the certainty of being superior to everything—these are impossible things for her to lack, and I counted on it.

The four weapons that formed pairs fused together at once. The fragmented rings around one of my arms and the ethereal band around the other remained attached to my body while my wings expanded, waves of energy forming a territory around me through the sheer release of my Concept, incomplete as it was.

A flash of energy distorted reality itself around us as a Katana-like sword formed in my right hand. Its entire body was made of crystal, with a ring separating the hilt from the rest of the blade. Within this ring was a flaming purple sun. The blade of the sword had multiple eyes that opened and closed as if countless predators were contained within.

In my other hand, a blade formed, joined by a blade arch. This crystal dagger seemed fragmented, its pieces held together by an energy that coursed through all its parts.

“!!!!!” (me)

At that moment, my body went numb and my Soul burned. I felt the forces of nature, including the very space around me, tearing themselves apart. Even the three natural energies within me were rejecting each other. A new, cursed energy coursed through my body, and it was this that made my Soul burn as if a flaming hand were trying to envelop it.

“<Your youth blinds your current inability, Bringer of Chaos.>” (Curse)

“Ghaah!!” (me)

Cough Cough

Before I knew it, dozens of purple energy spears had pierced my body, trying to reach my Soul. They failed. I was still much more injured than I expected, but I smiled nonetheless.

“< Release >” (me)

The two Weapons in my hands glow, releasing two pulses of energy. Something deep within me, something deep within my Soul, pulses as if in resonance with the weapons. Then I feel the power of Chaos, something in it changed as it flowed from my Soul to the rest of my body. A great pain that was difficult even for me to bear pierces my entire being.

The spears stuck in my body shatter, the weapons forming in my hands as my Will takes over my body while my consciousness tries to resist the crushing pressure.

“< Sword of Chaos: Unholy Slash >” (me)

“< Curse of Origin: Annihilation Spear >” (Curse)

A large Spear splits space itself, coming toward me as ‘Curse’ points his staff with three crystal hearts toward me.

My sword vibrated as if it were alive, but following my Will, it slashed toward the spear coming toward me. The sword collided with the spear, and the power of reality collapsed around us for hundreds of meters.

As I threw my dagger at him, the shattered power of reality began to flow, reforming itself wherever the dagger passed. But before it could reach ‘Curse,’ it was stopped by his staff, which shone brightly with three crystal hearts beating in sync. The dagger and the heart collided, both remaining frozen in midair as a wave of pressure reformed space.

“<Your attempt to fight me is… Ghugg!>” (Curse)

“<…>” (Curse)

“You acted exactly as I expected.” (me)

“< Path of Chaos: Cursed Purification of Body and Soul >” (me)

My dagger shattered into fragments, returning to me. Meanwhile, my tail, with a Shattered Moon embedded in its blade, pierced Raakoy’s left foot.

“<Is this purification? How could you… I see, your concept of Chaos differs from that of the former Bringer of Chaos even more than I calculated.>” (Curse)

Curse still seemed calm; she didn’t even try to rip off her leg. She must have realized that my blow hadn’t just struck his physical body, but had struck his Soul, a Soul that no longer possessed an Existential Spark and, as such, couldn’t be seriously injured, or it wouldn’t resist, since its Concept wouldn’t be suitable for it.

Veins writhing like tentacles spread like worms, branching out from his leg and reaching the rest of his body while pulsing, his body of cursed energy flickered, some parts even cracking as purple particles spilled from his body.

My tail crossed space to strike a non-fatal point. There was no killing intent in my strike, nor was there a high concentration of energy, all this to go unnoticed amidst all the confusion around us.

I separated the Shattered Moon from the Dagger before the weapon could fully form. He couldn’t have expected this; this was a new technique he hadn’t heard of.

Every attack of his was aimed at ending everything, but he didn’t expect it, trying to kill me completely. He was also constantly arrogant. Given the difference in experience, he believed he wouldn’t be caught off guard, and any attack from me wouldn’t immediately finish him off.

“<You applied a curse to the purification, did you do it out of fear it wouldn’t work on me?>” (Curse)

“Yes, I honestly don’t know what works on an Entity, but as far as I know, especially after facing Ayden, you can’t deny your own Concept.” (me)

“It turns out that both Curse and Purification are within my capabilities. Even though they’re opposites, they can still be used together through my chaos power, and even though my Concept isn’t complete, it’s still enough to prevent it from interfering with my curse.” (me)

“<Exceptional preparation. I didn’t expect you to use curses against me, but know that I’ll put you at the top of my watch list.>” (Curse)

“You seem calm for someone losing an Avatar.” (me)

“<I possess other Avatars, but it’s not often I see the possibility of a Concept branching out like today, a Curse capable of purifying, transforming a weakness into part of my strength, an interesting point of view.>” (Curse)

“I’m happy to be of assistance, don’t get me wrong, I’m just proudly fulfilling a deal.” (me)

“<I know and I don’t care, I’ll stop interfering with you, but I won’t stop my Avatars, Krimus was especially excited about this project.>” (Curse)

Raakoy’s body was over 90% enveloped by a pure presence, his Soul also seemed to be dissolving and merging into his body. I think without the Existential Spark and with the influence of the ‘Curse’ being severed, his Soul can’t resist the transformation.

“<We will meet again, Paradox’s successor.>” (Curse)

“(Paradox…)” (me)

Suddenly, the pressure in me disappears, the energy that was previously raging inside my Soul evaporates as if it had never existed. Raakoy’s body is completely enveloped in light, stellar flames ignite around her as black mud drips from her body, transforming into a translucent liquid that evaporates back into her body.

Her entire body transforms, her features are erased, her hair disappears, her skin becomes translucent white with red marks running across her body, her eyes and mouth are closed, and her naked body is also genderless; it was as if she had become a doll.

Even so, the vital energy in her body was very intense; there was also a sacred feeling around her, as if everything cursed in her had been transformed into something holy.

“A Holy body, I might have use for it one day, so now it’s mine… spoils of war, Ronan can’t complain.” (me)
