Chapter 591: Chapter 372: Comprehension, the Prototype Burning Steel Soul Domain
As the only Steel Elephant Person able to unleash his full power within the Soul Domain, Steel Jade acted without the slightest hesitation upon hearing the Chieftain’s command. Reaching toward the three comets, he made a grasping motion.
BOOM!!
The clouds churned, and thunderbolts erupted.
Boundless, silvery-white lightning coalesced into a colossal metal hand that swept toward the three rapidly moving Metal Essences.
ZZZZT—
The three Metal Essences, constrained by an unseen force, were trapped firmly within the colossal hand.
Steel Jade pulled his hand back.
The vast sea of clouds shifted, and the colossal hand of white lightning slowly extended before Steel Jade, gently uncurling.
Inside were three perfectly round orbs. Emitting a brilliant silver glow, they spun at high speed, ceaselessly radiating an immense amount of Metal Spiritual Energy.
"Hss... I’ve never seen Spiritual Energy of this purity." Even Gang Long, a man of high status and vast experience, couldn’t help but gasp in astonishment the moment he got a closer look at the Metal Essence.
To Han Ning, the three essences looked like miniature galaxies, each containing a vast amount of compressed Spiritual Energy. ’The energy in a single one of these,’ he thought, ’probably far surpasses the Flood Dragon True Essence we got from the Dragon Palace!’
"Just one of these is probably enough to help Fei Lin and Huaimiao break through all the way past Emperor Level. A worthy legacy of a Divine Spirit, indeed." Han Ning took a deep breath, inwardly astounded.
After carefully storing the three Metal Essences, the group continued their exploration.
The Soul Domain within a single tusk of the Burning Steel Mammoth was already incredibly vast.
After walking for a full day and night through this boundless space with still no end in sight, Gang Long and the other high-ranking Steel Elephants came to a decision:
To prevent the Flame Pig Clan from staging a comeback, they decided to first withdraw from the Soul Domain. They would use Steel Jade’s divine power to temporarily transfer all the discovered remains of the Burning Steel Mammoth to the vicinity of the Burning Steel Divine Hall.
They would resume their exploration once they were back in a safe area.
The process of transporting the Divine Remains took a full three months.
From deep underground beneath the giant tusk, the Steel Elephant Race unearthed a total of over 60 pieces of the remains, both large and small.
The smallest of these fragments was the size of a football field, a testament to just how enormous the Burning Steel Mammoth was in life.
With Steel Jade’s help in containing the fragmented, unstable Soul Domains within the remains, and the combined might of dozens of Soul Beasts whose average power surpassed the Middle Emperor level, it took three months and eight days to transport all the fragments to the Burning Steel Divine Hall over 8,000 kilometers away.
Over these three-odd months, they were harassed by the Flame Pig Clan several more times. However, the Steel Elephant elites mobilized in full force, displaying a willingness to fight to the death. Faced with such determination, even the numerically superior Flame Boars did not dare to launch another rash attack.
When all the remains were laid out upon the ground, they covered an area larger than a city and towered like a sprawling mountain range.
Having acquired such an invaluable treasure, the entire Steel Elephant leadership devoted the vast majority of their top fighters to the work of excavating the interior of the Soul Domain.
Of course, Han Ning and the others, being an Alien Race, were not involved in the subsequent excavation work.
It was estimated that the excavation of the Divine Remains would take at least several years, possibly even more than a decade.
As their collaborator, Gang Long did not renege on his promise. However, he first needed to tally up all the spoils from the remains before he could distribute their 5% share of the resources.
Before that, however, in recognition of the decisive role their advanced weaponry played in ending the war, Gang Long and the Pope jointly decided to gift a precious Metal Essence to Han Ning on behalf of the Steel Elephant Race.
This was an essence that, in the eyes of a "Mortal," contained a nearly infinite amount of Spiritual Energy.
A single one was enough to cultivate countless Emperor Soul Beasts.
Not only would Han Ning benefit, but every Beast Master in the Tri-Race Alliance and the Bobo Family who possessed a Metal Soul Beast stood to gain tremendously.
The very instant Fei Lin touched the Metal Essence, she fell into a deep slumber, her body enveloped by a sharp aura of Metal Spiritual Energy. It appeared she had entered a state of epiphany.
Left with no other choice, Han Ning found a remote, undisturbed stretch of desert for her. He deployed clones of his All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm to guard the perimeter, ensuring Fei Lin could complete her epiphany undisturbed.
Meanwhile, Gang Long made good on his promise, ceding the entire Withered Desert and its outer bay coastline to the Tri-Race Alliance. He even relocated the small tribe that had originally inhabited the desert to another region.
As a result, the entire Withered Desert was now under the control of the Tri-Race Alliance. To the west and north lay the territory of the Steel Elephant Race, while the other directions faced the ocean, home to the Bobo Race and the Water Ape Race led by Huai Kong.
Although the two sides were currently cooperating amicably, they established a 300-kilometer-long buffer zone along their shared border, just to be safe.
Dean Wu went a step further, dispatching a construction team to install a series of warning devices along the edge of the buffer zone.
This was not only to guard against any potential hostile actions from the Steel Elephant Race but also to prevent infiltration by other tribes.
With a series of security measures in place, Dean Wu and the others finally began planning to build their own city in the heart of the Withered Desert.
「The morning of the second day after returning from the Steel Elephant territory.」
Han Ning gazed out at the endless, rolling gobi and the distant, swirling sands of the desert, taking a deep breath.
For the foreseeable future, this land—a territory of over two million square kilometers, nearly the size of ten provinces of the Original Xia Country—would become the true home for their group of alien travelers.
