Chapter 589: Chapter 371: Metal Essence

Han Ning had met some of the Steel Elephant People before him a few times, but others were complete strangers.

This was his first time seeing the Burning Steel Pope, for example, who wore a silver mask revealing only a silver nose.

As his gaze subtly swept over the man, the Burning Steel Pope was also scrutinizing Han Ning with an inscrutable expression.

"Wait a moment. Steel Jade woke up not long ago and is on her way here," Gang Long’s voice rang out, gesturing for Han Ning and Bobo Man to find a place to wait.

’The Saintess Steel Jade has finally awoken... No wonder they called us here today.’

A year and a half ago, after Saintess Steel Jade activated the Power of Burning Steel within her, she fell into a deep slumber.

Hearing Gang Long’s words now, Han Ning finally understood.

Seeing that these powerful figures of the Steel Elephant People all had an unapproachable air, Han Ning dismissed any thoughts of greeting them. He and Bobo Man huddled together, cautiously observing their surroundings.

The area was completely enclosed by a silver Barrier. It was empty all around, save for a single, colossal silver tusk stuck diagonally into the ground. Specks of red stained the giant tusk.

"It’s so conspicuous. Why wasn’t it discovered before?" Bobo Man marveled, observing the massive tusk that was even taller than a mountain peak.

Even from dozens of kilometers away, they could feel a majestic storm of Gold Spiritual Energy sweeping toward them.

Furthermore, this Spiritual Energy consisted of high-energy particles compressed at least ten-thousand-fold. If a Low Tier Beast Master were to pass through, they would likely be disintegrated by the wind of high-energy particles.

"A few years ago, a massive earthquake here shook this Divine Tooth loose from deep underground. We believe that even deeper within the earth, there are more Divine Remains." It was not Gang Long who answered Bobo Man’s question, but the Pope in the silver mask.

He held a scepter topped with an elephant’s head, his eyes filled with fanaticism.

’I see. If the Divine Remains were hidden deep underground from the start, then it makes sense they weren’t discovered.’

「About an hour later.」

A flash of silver light appeared outside.

Gang Sasi walked in side-by-side with a young girl just under 1.8 meters tall.

Han Ning had seen Saintess Steel Jade before in the Grey Stone Tribe. As she entered, she was met with gazes filled with all sorts of emotions. She lowered her head, a little unsettled, and greeted the various leaders one by one.

Compared to when they first met, Steel Jade had grown at least 30 centimeters. A year and a half ago, she had been a tiny girl, not even 1.5 meters tall.

Now... she was almost as tall as Han Ning, and several times Bobo Man’s height!

"Steel Jade, come here," the Pope’s gentle voice sounded.

"Your Holiness." Steel Jade bowed again and trotted over to stand by the Pope’s side.

"A word of warning. After entering the ruins, you must not summon Soul Beasts or release any high-intensity Spiritual Suppression. Otherwise, the Divine Spirit’s own pressure will instantly destroy you."

"Since everyone is here, let’s enter the ruins." The one in charge, Gang Long, announced with a grand wave of his hand.

At the command, Steel Jade and the others walked briskly toward the giant tusk stuck diagonally in the ground.

It took the group of Steel Elephant leaders over an hour to cover the dozens of kilometers. ’They must have the mentality of pilgrims,’ Han Ning guessed, ’wanting to walk step by step to the Divine Remains themselves.’

When Steel Jade reached the Heaven-Reaching Elephant Tusk, she extended a hand and gently caressed its silver-white surface.

WHOOSH~

The ground trembled slightly.

Fine, silver-and-red veins appeared on Steel Jade’s snow-white skin, like silver steel shot through with streams of magma, looking as if they might erupt at any moment.

At the same time, identical veins appeared on the surface of the giant tusk.

The tremors grew more violent. In the unseen depths of existence, it seemed some great will had awakened.

Immediately after, a powerful suction force emanated from within the tusk, and Steel Jade vanished in an instant.

Seeing this, the others hurriedly placed their hands on the tusk.

WHOOSH. WHOOSH. WHOOSH.

After a blinding flash of light, the scene before their eyes changed completely.

Traversing between planes no longer fazed Han Ning. He raised his eyes and gazed into the distance.

A hurricane, violent and carrying the faint scent of molten steel, rushed to meet them.

But just as the storm reached two meters in front of Han Ning, it dissolved into a gentle breeze and vanished.

[Warning! You are currently within a fragmented Soul Domain. While here, the will of the Soul Domain’s master will rapidly erode your Spiritual Body.]

An orb emitting a hazy glow hung high in the misty sky.

They now stood on a massive cliff. Below them, a forest of towering beast bones, strangely lush, filled their entire field of vision.

In the far distance, all directions were shrouded in a silver radiance where endless Thunderbolts flashed and leaped with frantic energy.

A thick, silver-white liquid, like mercury, constantly battered the cliff face, its impacts accompanied by a continuous, deafening roar of thunder.

"Incredible... So this is the power of a Soul Domain? It’s more like a world in the process of destruction," Han Ning muttered to himself.

The Soul Domain was said to be an upgraded version of Soul Force. It had another, more impressive name—the Divine Domain.

In short, a Domain created by a Divine Spirit.

In Han Ning’s particle vision, the entire world was completely saturated with Metal Spiritual Energy; no other Elements could be seen at all.

Any single part of the Burning Steel Mammoth’s body had become a world unto itself!

This was just a single tusk, yet the domain within it was boundless.

If this was the complete Soul Domain of an entire Burning Steel Mammoth, it was hard to imagine just how much Spiritual Energy its infinite world could contain!

’Truly worthy of the title "divine."’
