Wilderness: I Tame Beasts to Survive
Chapter 560 - 356: Thunder Continent, Elemental Holy Land (Part 2)
Chapter 560: Chapter 356: Thunder Continent, Elemental Holy Land (Part 2)
The advantage of overwhelming strength was immediately apparent. Bobo Ka emanated the terrifying aura of an Emperor IV Soul Beast, granting them unobstructed passage. They soon reached the end of the Soul Beast swarm.
Before them, in the Sky Domain, dozens of meteorite-sized boulders of varying sizes blocked the way. Farther ahead, a towering rock wall, nearly the size of a continent, stretched between sky and earth, completely sealing off at least dozens of kilometers of the Sky Domain.
Faint black cracks flickered in and out of existence between the rocks. Anyone weak who tried to force their way through would likely be sliced to pieces by them.
A dozen or so individuals in assorted attire hovered before the pile of rubble, each flying on a powerful Soul Beast.
"Which continent shattered? Why did it show up here?"
Seeing this, Bobo Man frowned and had Bobo Ka descend.
"What’s the situation now?"
He wasn’t shy, flying straight into the crowd and communicating brazenly with his Spiritual Power.
"Looks like a continent fragment."
A minotaur-like Beast Master in pale white silk robes glanced at Bobo Man, whose appearance was even more peculiar than his own, and replied. ℯ
"Brother, your... Soul Beast is quite strong. How about we work together to break through this continent fragment and see what’s inside?"
"I heard something similar happened on the Purple Crystal World over 300 years ago. A continent from the Painful Labyrinth’s Subspace plane shattered, and the resulting temporal turbulence swept a fragment to the Main Plane. The nearby Beast Masters who excavated it discovered a massive hoard of treasures."
In the crowd, a middle-aged man in black beast hides, who looked at least 70% human, glanced at Bobo Ka, his eyes lighting up.
From the looks of it, he was clearly another Beast Master who had rushed over from nearby to join the excitement.
"Exactly! If you don’t make a move and I don’t make a move, are we just going to let this huge treasure trove sit here? Should we wait for the major powers to come and snatch our resources? Many hands make light work, you know."
The minotaur-like man nodded in hearty agreement.
"Fuck! You bunch of weaklings. It’s just a damn continent fragment, and you still need to gather a group to figure it out? Get the hell out of my way!" Bobo Man shot a disdainful glance at the motley collection of Soul Beasts beneath the other Beast Masters and gestured for Bobo Ka to fly forward.
"WAAOO!!"
Bobo Ka let out an energetic cry, flew before a boulder that was at least several kilometers wide, and spread its turtle claws. It pressed them against the rock face, holding on tight. Then, with a soft grunt, its claws twitched.
BOOM!
The entire meteorite-sized boulder instantly disintegrated into fine grains of sand, which drifted away on the wind.
"Holy shit! Such a strong Spiritual Energy fluctuation! That’s at least a Middle Emperor! Where did this monster come from?!"
Bobo Ka’s action immediately drew the attention of everyone present.
Nearly twenty Beast Masters stared in astonishment at Bobo Ka, who had effortlessly pulverized the giant boulder.
"Move it, move it. Don’t blame me later for not warning you."
Bobo Man savored the gazes of the Land Beastmasters, which were filled with a mixture of surprise and admiration.
’This kid’s show-off personality hasn’t changed a bit.’
Han Ning and Irena exchanged a look of tacit understanding, both seeing a hint of helplessness in the other’s eyes.
Neither of them were the type to attract attention.
The crowd didn’t understand, but seeing the imposing giant turtle, they were suddenly convinced by Bobo Man’s words and retreated one after another.
At that moment, Bobo Ka beneath them had finished charging its power. A black and white light swirled between its blue-black turtle claws, faintly forming the shape of a bagua.
"Divine Turtle Celestial Phenomenon: Shock Wave!"
"AWOOO!!"
Receiving its little master’s signal, Bobo Ka fiercely unleashed the black and white light brewing in its claws toward the continent fragment blocking their path.
BOOM!!
The interwoven light and dark wave wasn’t thick, but it caused the surrounding space to tremble. Wherever it passed, the spatial storms came to a complete halt.
The continent-sized mass of rock was pierced straight through by the light wave and split in two, revealing a fissure several kilometers high, wide enough for a large force to pass through.
And at the very moment the shattered continent was split in two...
An increasingly loud rustling sound emerged from the upper and lower fragments.
It sounded as if tens of thousands of insects were swarming, their movements echoing through the rock.
In just a moment, ferocious-looking heads began to emerge from the cracks in the continent’s rocky surface.
They had a pair of dark brown antennae on their heads and two long, thick fangs protruding from their mouths. Their black, insectoid eyes stared fiercely at Bobo Ka.
The insect swarms moved, quickly gathering into hordes of hundreds and thousands of ants, which stared across the distance at the people hovering in the air.
When Han Ning saw the appearance of the insect swarms, an irrepressible ’I knew it’ expression appeared on his face.
’It really is a goddamn fragment of the Insect Continent.’
These ant swarms emerging from underground were none other than one of the once-famous Ancestor Families of the Insect Continent—the Abyssal Rock Ants.
The two Puppets Han Ning had once placed among the Abyssal Rock Ants had died long ago during the Abyss turmoil, so he had no idea what had happened on the Insect Continent.
But now, it seemed... the entire continent hadn’t been completely devoured by the Insect Queen after all.
"His Highness Prince Bobo Man, let’s go... let’s go see the inside of the shattered continent. Do you remember me telling you about the Insect Continent? I’m sure this is a fragment of it."
"Oh? The continent where you were affected by the spatial storm?"
Bobo Man’s eyes glinted. He commanded Bobo Ka to ignore the ants’ gazes, sweep ferociously over their heads, and charge straight into the massive, gaping fissure.
Seeing this, some of the Beast Masters in the rear followed hastily without a second thought.
Those who were a bit slower to react quickly caught on and rushed in as well.
No one said a word, but there was a tacit understanding among them.
"SKREEE!!"
Bobo Ka’s forceful approach provoked the ant swarm’s displeasure.
One by one, the large Abyssal Rock Ants immediately manipulated Gravity, condensing rock shards to attack the brutish visitor.
But what level of power did Bobo Ka possess? It didn’t even spare them a glance. The mere lingering aura from its passing was enough to turn these weak creatures, not even at the Monarch level, into dust.
As they traveled through the shattered underground, Han Ning extended his Spiritual Power.
His Spiritual Power, comparable in quality to the Profound Moon, spread out like a great net, blanketing the surroundings.
Then, he suddenly turned his head.
Egg Pancake, perched on his shoulder, understood. It manipulated Gravity and made a grabbing motion in the air.
SWOOSH!
An Abyssal Rock Ant Insect Master in a dark yellow robe, his face filled with terror, was caught in Egg Pancake’s Gravity control and suspended before them like a lamb to the slaughter.
Once upon a time, Ancestral Insect Masters had been synonymous with immense, insurmountable power in the eyes of Han Ning and the others.
Now, they were like ants that could be crushed with a casual flick of the wrist.
"Answer my questions, and I might spare your life."
Han Ning stared at the young Insect Master and spoke slowly in the Insect Language.
His tone held a trace of enthrallment, a bewitching quality that the Insect Master, whose Spiritual Power was rather weak, found impossible to resist.
In the blink of an eye, the Insect Master’s expression became vacant. He murmured, "Please, ask."
Han Ning gestured at the surrounding ruins and asked, "What happened here?"
"About two years ago... the Queen awakened. Starving, she devoured nearly three-quarters of the Insect Continent, triggering a massive spatial storm. The vast majority of the continent’s Insect Masters, Soul Beasts... all Holy Spirits... merged with the Queen, becoming a part of her body."
"This part of our land... was affected by the spatial storm. As the Queen was devouring the other landmasses, the storm blew us away from the main continent and into a strange space... Everything after that... I don’t know..." the Insect Master said blankly.
’So it really was the Insect Continent... and the work of the Insect Queen!’ Han Ning’s expression was complicated upon hearing this.
