Wilderness: I Tame Beasts to Survive
Chapter 551 - 352: Spiritual Technology Explosion
Chapter 551: Chapter 352: Spiritual Technology Explosion
Bobo Man waved his hand, and the large group of subordinates around him melted away into Caiyun City.
"In your condition... shouldn’t you go and rest for a while?"
Han Ning asked with concern, looking at Bobo Man, who seemed to be on his last legs.
"As long as it doesn’t kill me, these minor wounds are no big deal."
Bobo Man didn’t seem to care. From among the myriad of Soul Artifacts he carried, he pulled out a few glittering trinkets and tossed them into his and Bobo Ka’s mouths.
A halo of light flashed, and their Essence, Qi, and Spirit improved at a rate visible to the naked eye.
"Your human residential area has been moved from inside Caiyu City to the eastern outskirts..."
The group flew from the south of the city to the northeast, until Han Ning spotted a special zone on the city’s edge. It covered a vast area and was enclosed by what looked like an absurdly large, transparent sea bowl.
"This is the living area that you humans, the Dragon Blood Race, and some of the Abyssal Race jointly built over the past two-plus years."
Bobo Man flew to the entrance of the area and jumped off Bobo Ka’s back.
A futuristic, silver-white gate blocked their path.
Two guards stood at the gate.
One had the distinct appearance of someone from the Xia Country.
The other had scarlet pupils and a tall, thin frame. A ring of mysterious, dark-purple Runes was tattooed on his deathly pale neck.
Seeing Bobo Man approach, the two guards immediately bowed. "Lord Bobo Man."
But when their gazes landed on Han Ning, who was a step behind, their faces lit up with delighted surprise.
"Lord Han Ning, you’ve finally returned!"
Bobo Man grunted in acknowledgment, gave a dignified nod, and casually handed over a silver-white card.
The human Beast Master took the card and swiped it lightly through a slot beside the silver-white gate.
The display above the slot instantly refreshed with a stream of data. Then, four beams of white light shot out, enveloping Bobo Man, Han Ning, Irena, and Lin Ke.
"Verification successful."
An emotionless electronic voice announced in the next instant.
The silver-white gate opened automatically.
"Huh? Don’t we need to be verified?" Han Ning asked, gesturing to himself, Irena, and Lin Ke in confusion.
"Your authority is the highest in the entire residential zone. You can bring any guests in at any time, as long as we record their spiritual information," the scarlet-pupiled Hexagon Race Beast Master said with a bow.
"Please, come in." The Xia Country guard stepped aside.
The moment he stepped through the gate, Han Ning was taken aback by the sight before him.
Row upon row of buildings with a modern feel, most between three and six stories high, filled the valley before him.
In the sky, an energy orb used for illumination shone like a sun, casting a warm glow.
Within the relatively small area, several streets had been built, with smooth roads crisscrossing in a grid.
The outskirts of the building complex were covered in lush green farmland.
Beside a man-made, azure lake lay a beautiful Giant Whale. Its body looked as if it were wrapped in soft, white clouds.
"MOOO~"
Just then, the Giant Whale, which had been dozing on the grass, suddenly twitched the sensory organs hidden beneath its skin. It snapped its head up to look toward the entrance, then let out a cry of delight.
Even though he was at the bottom of the Celestial Sea, for a brief moment, Han Ning felt as if he had returned to a quiet town on Blue Star from his past life.
The fresh scent of grass and trees wafted through the air.
Han Ning closed his eyes, opened his arms, and took a deep breath, as if embracing this moment of beauty and tranquility.
The two Beast Master guards had clearly used some special method to announce the arrival of Han Ning and his group.
Within minutes, Soul Beasts of all shapes and sizes flew out from between the low-rise buildings, gathering in formation above the valley.
"Han Ning, you’re finally back!"
The first to cry out in delighted surprise were Han Ning’s two roommates, Lin Tianhe and Chen Linyu.
After them, dozens of people from the academy and the Dragon Blood Race rode their Soul Beasts down in front of Han Ning. They completely swarmed him, their faces a mixture of smiles, curiosity, joy, and excitement.
A quick glance told him that they were all familiar faces.
He spotted his familiar university classmates, teachers, and roommates. Qing Fan of the Dragon Blood Race and Ah Yu of the Hexagon Race were there, along with the Insect-man girl Nia. Even the communications expert Rajkica and language expert Lena, whom he hadn’t seen in ages, were in the crowd.
It wasn’t just the Beast Masters; the Soul Beasts he had befriended on his journey—Da Yan, Little Mantis, and Grey—were also there, circling excitedly around Han Ning and his own Soul Beasts.
"Hello, everyone! It’s been a long time!"
Looking at all these familiar faces, Han Ning felt an inexplicable warmth spread through him. All the negativity from his battle with Shark Lian and the other Deep Sea Alien Race members vanished in an instant.
"It’s good just to have you back safely. This isn’t the place for a proper catch-up. Let’s go somewhere else, sit down, and talk properly."
The venerable Dean Wu laughed heartily, stepping forward to pat Han Ning’s shoulder gently.
...
「A moment later, inside a modern-style hall.」
Han Ning gazed at the clean, tidy floors and walls, and at the enormous projection screen that took up the entire wall in front of him. He once again had the disorienting feeling that he had traveled to another world.
Over a hundred Beast Masters he knew, from various different races, were seated and murmuring amongst themselves.
"Ahem," Han Ning began, clearing his throat. "Dean Wu, I’m far more curious about all the changes here than my dull, monotonous Cultivation at the Sea God Palace. Could you start by telling me what our Tri-Race Alliance has gone through in just over two years?"
