The black shadow floating in the lead raised its head, revealing eyes that glinted with scarlet light. It said coldly,

"Are we certain that all those holding the Realm-Splitting Insects are in their designated positions?"

"We are ready to initiate the Sea Flipping Plan at any moment!"

"Then... let’s begin! Awaken the Realm-Splitting Insects! Split the space!" The shadow spread its arms, and dozens of pitch-black worms shot out from them.

A tall figure had appeared in front of the black shadows.

His body was a mass of knotted muscle, and his light-blue skin had a rubbery texture. His limbs ended in webbed, amphibian-like hands and feet.

"Oh? And who might this be? So, it’s a young pup from the Dread Whale Family. Quite the promising youth, and the boldest of the bunch, it seems."

The leader of the black shadows chuckled softly at the sight of the newcomer. Then, in a mocking tone loud enough for every member of the Deep Sea Race in the palaces to hear, he sneered,

"After Bobo Ta’s death, the Deep Sea Race has truly fallen. To think even a piece of trash like Xuanhai can hold the position of Clan Leader..."

Before he could finish, angry shouts rang out from the palace complex below.

"Who dares say the Deep Sea Race has no one left?!"

Thick torrents of water shot skyward, transforming into Deep Sea Beastmasters of all different shapes and sizes. They hovered before the black figures, their eyes filled with fury.

"Ladar?! You traitor to the Blood Sharks! A piece of trash exiled from the Deep Sea! You dare lay a hand on our clan’s Secret Realm?"

A Beast Master with the head of a blood-red shark strode out from the crowd. His eyes blazed as he stared at the lead shadow, a look of contempt on his face. With a wave of his hand, he roared, "Kill them!"

Nearly a hundred Middle- to Upper-Level Monarch Soul Beasts unleashed deafening roars as a torrent of Soul Techniques and Spiritual Energy surged forth, instantly engulfing the location of the black figures.

CRACK~

However... the dark thunder coalesced into an arcing Shield, an indestructible barrier that effortlessly blocked the oncoming flood of Soul Techniques. The black figures within remained completely unfazed.

The man in the lead is Ladar, a defector from the Blood Shark Race, also known as the ’Deep Sea Trembler.’ He used to be a famous Deep Sea Beastmaster, but he defected from the Blood Shark Family for some reason. He was arrested by a coalition of Deep Sea families, but later joined the Sea Flipping Squad. That’s an organization within the Deep Sea Alliance that opposes the Deep Sea Race, specializing in hunting our Beastmasters and destroying the assets of the major families."
