Chapter 528: Chapter 340: Spiritual Treasure Body (2)
The process was arduous and long.
An unknown amount of time passed.
A Moon Disc, radiating a faint silver glow, appeared in the depths of Han Ning’s consciousness.
As the Moon Disc turned,
bits and pieces of familiar yet strange memories returned to his consciousness.
’My name is Han Ning... I’m twenty years old...’
’All these silver specks of light around me are fragments of my splintered soul. I need to gather them.’
With this realization, Han Ning stood up and reached out a finger, touching the nearest silver speck of light.
Reaching out was just a subconscious impulse. In reality, no finger extended; with a mere thought, the silver speck was drawn to him.
The silver specks of light gathered in increasing numbers. Seen from a distant, third-person perspective, one larger speck was attracting all the smaller ones.
All his actions were just a product of his imagination.
Soon, the golden light in the sky was also drawn by an unseen force, gathering toward Han Ning’s position.
A humanoid figure of light, complete with a head and four limbs, was sketched out in the space of Nothingness.
As the figure formed, a wisp of Spiritual Power materialized from thin air, and more memories flooded his mind.
’So I’ve been in Cultivation in the Heaven-Reaching Tower for a year? Two years? Or maybe three? ...During these years, I followed the method in the Four Symbols Meditation Technique to splinter my Divine Soul, allowing the fragments to restructure themselves in a more profound way. This elevated my Power of Divine Soul, raising my Spiritual Quality from the Dark Star Level to the Profound Moon Level.’
’The Four Symbols Meditation Technique... it can actually allow Tier Five Spiritual Power to possess the quality of a Profound Moon!’
’Thank goodness. When I opened my eyes, it wasn’t the emissaries of the underworld, though it wasn’t my familiar old bedroom either.’
He let out a silent sigh of relief. By now, Han Ning had recalled about 80% of his memories. His first thought wasn’t the joy of becoming stronger, but of his four little companions.
’Yin Yi, Egg Pancake, Little Fatty Silkworm, and Fei Lin don’t know what happened to me. I haven’t contacted them in years. They must be worried sick!’
Now that his Spiritual Power had returned, he tried to use his spiritual link to connect with Yin Yi and the others.
But as he sent out his Spiritual Power, Han Ning discovered it had nowhere to go.
’My Spiritual World is still in the process of fracturing and reforming. The breakthrough isn’t fully complete... I wonder what things are like outside.’
After a dozen or so attempts, he still couldn’t reach them. Han Ning turned his attention back to this strange space.
He closed his eyes, trying to fall asleep.
But he didn’t feel the slightest bit sleepy. For a moment, he had no idea how to leave this Mysterious Space.
’If I’m in my own world of consciousness, how can I imagine another space within my mind? Isn’t that like nesting dolls?’
He tried everything he could think of—sleeping, punching himself hard in the head—but his fist passed through his skull without resistance. Nothing could wake him up.
Looking at the full moon above, which emanated a faint Starlight, Han Ning keenly sensed his Soul Body solidifying at an extremely slow pace. He was surprised to find that even a fleeting glance at the moon stirred an impulse within him to draw closer.
However, with every short distance he ascended, his Soul Body felt a heavy, downward pull, and his speed of ascent would slow.
’This is going to be difficult...’
Just as Han Ning was at a loss, the illusion of a Divine Spirit suddenly appeared in the vast space of Nothingness. It had a white face and a long beard, and was clad in Golden Armor and a Red Robe. Its expression was serene as it held a White Jade Ruyi in its left hand and formed a hand seal with its right.
The Divine Spirit’s gaze was fixed. The moment it appeared, its body transformed into a sky full of Starlight that converged upon Han Ning.
The pain from his splintered Divine Soul was greatly alleviated. A cool current flowed from his head throughout his body, instantly refreshing his spirit.
He had already explored everywhere else. Aside from the vast, empty space, there was only...
Han Ning looked up at the bright moon. Wisps of Starlight swirled in his eyes, easing the pain in his head.
His vision was tinged with the faint white of the Starlight, and the silver moonlight entering his eyes became exceptionally clear.
It was very likely that the way out was within the bright moon.
Putting thought into action, Han Ning floated his Soul Body, inching closer and closer to the center of the moon.
As his body rose, the white, cloud-like dragons wandering nearby converged on him as if they had found a long-lost relative.
A soft cloud appeared beneath his Soul Body, resisting the formless Gravity and holding him aloft.
As he neared the moon, the silver light grew more dazzling. The oppressive, formless Gravity constantly drained the Energy from his armor, dragging at his Soul Body. If Han Ning weren’t in a soul-form right now, his flesh would have been torn open and his bones shattered.
The surface of the Starlight Armor, where it met the unseen force, was like shaved ice under the scorching summer sun, distorting and evaporating at an incredible speed into specks of white Starlight.
’Almost there, just a little more.’
The sense of anticipation in his heart grew stronger.
By now, he could reach out and touch the dazzling halo on the moon’s surface.
Logically, a Soul Body should have no sense of touch, yet Han Ning felt an icy coolness from his fingertips. It was like a cool spring of a pleasant temperature, making him eager to plunge right in.
’I’m in!’
As his right foot finally stepped into the spherical interior of the moon, he was surrounded on all sides by cool, silver moonlight. The temperature inside was within a comfortable range for a human.
The downward drag on his Soul Body vanished instantly. As it slowly solidified, Han Ning looked around, searching for the source of his anticipation.
In the very center was a smaller "moon," about the size of a basketball, that shimmered with a dense silver light.
’That’s it.’
Han Ning’s eyes lit up, and he eagerly floated before the small moon.
It was a sphere whose surface was inscribed with a vast number of intricate and complex Runes, with not a single spot left bare.
Myriads of Runes lit up with a silver-white light, converging to form lotuses that bloomed outward.
’Touch it. Touch it.’
A voice in his mind frantically urged him to touch the moon with his hand.
Han Ning cautiously extended his right hand and gently touched the silver sphere with the tip of his thumb.
BOOM!
The moon erupted with an endless silver radiance that frantically climbed from Han Ning’s fingertip, up his hand and arm. At a speed too fast to react to, it consumed his head. Han Ning only registered a deafening roar in his mind before he knew nothing more.
「In the Sea God Palace Secret Realm, within a remote hall of the Dragon Palace complex.」
In the calm, windless great hall, a powerful storm suddenly began to rage.
Across the pitch-black dome of the ceiling, a brilliant starry sky abruptly appeared.
Amidst the starry sky, a white mist spread, and a new moon slowly rose.
This magnificent sight caught the attention of the others in the hall.
Irena and Lin Ke, who had been lying limply on the floor with their eyes shut, opened them at almost the same moment.
"This is..."
They stared at the scene in astonishment, their eyes fixed on the pure, radiant Moon Disc shimmering with silver light.
"A Spiritual Power Vision... It’s an Illusion caused by a Beast Master’s Spiritual Power when they break through to Tier Five..."
Irena’s face filled with shock as she said in disbelief,
"It’s Han Ning! In just three short years... he actually broke through from Tier Four to Tier Five. That’s a monstrous speed."
"Tier Five... He’s only in his early twenties, and his Spiritual Power has already reached Tier Five!" Lin Ke stared at the Moon Disc on the ceiling as if looking at a monster.
"And it’s not an ordinary Tier Five," Irena said, her brow furrowing as if she had noticed something unusual.
"Lingling?" "CHIRP!!" "GOOMIE~" "YIYI!!"
The most excited of all were Yin Yi, Egg Pancake, the All-Encompassing Spiritual Silkworm, and Fei Lin.
At that moment, they felt a familiar aura descend. The little ones excitedly gathered beneath the Moon Disc, bathing their entire bodies in the pure moonlight.
Under everyone’s expectant gazes, a figure almost indistinguishable from a real person, completely naked, slowly walked out from the Moon Disc.
