Why is This Troublemaker So Damn Rich?

Chapter 373 Touched the Wrong One

He had drifted off to sleep in the study.

He had a dream. He dreamt he was playing with Shen Meng in the water. She swam ahead while he chased after her, pulling her into his arms once he caught up.

He heard her protest, “It’s almost time for dinner. Let me go, we need to eat.”

Yang Hui smiled devilishly. “Meng Meng, we can eat later.”

With that, he slipped his hand under the hem of her swimsuit, pressing it against her plump buttocks and giving them a few squeezes.

Just then, he heard someone let out a small cry next to his ear. He slowly woke up, realizing it had all been a dream. But why was his hand still stuck in the dream? He squeezed again.

“Mr. Yang, please let go—”

Hearing Wenren Meng’s voice, Yang Hui was now wide awake. He opened his eyes to find himself holding Wenren Meng, his other hand inside the skirt of her loungewear. So, the plump bottom he was caressing in his dream had been hers.

“Uh… I’m so sorry. I was having a dream.”

He pulled his hand away but subconsciously gave another squeeze. He swore it wasn’t his intention, but it seemed to be his nature.

Wenren Meng’s face was beet red. This Mr. Yang, though he could be a bit lecherous at times, had always been respectful toward her and had never gotten handsy. But just now, when she came to call him for dinner, she had heard him talking in his sleep. The worst part was, he kept calling out, “Meng Meng, Meng Meng,” with a look on his face that could only be described as lascivious, which had completely dumbfounded her. Before she could even react, he had pulled her in and, with lightning speed, grabbed her bottom.

She hadn’t dared to shout, afraid of startling the little girl and Yang Bing. She could only whisper softly in his ear, “Mr. Yang, please let go.”

After Yang Hui let go, Wenren Meng took two steps back. “Mr. Yang, dinner is ready. Wash your hands.”

Wash his hands? Yang Hui subconsciously brought his hand up and sniffed it. A faint, alluring fragrance wafted from it, sending his imagination running wild.

A flush of heat spread across Wenren Meng’s face, the blush reaching from her cheeks to the tips of her ears. She turned and fled, her steps flustered. ‘He said it wasn’t on purpose,’ she thought, ‘but why was he calling my name in his dream? Could it be—’

Yang Hui gradually recalled what had happened and shook his head with a bitter smile. “What a mess. There’s no way to clear my name now.”

Yang Bing and the little girl were already in the living room. Du’Er asked, “Auntie, why isn’t my daddy out yet?”

Wenren Meng hummed a response as quiet as a mosquito, then said, “He’ll be out in a moment.” She knew he was probably waiting for “it” to go down. What would he look like if he came out now?

“Oh. Teacher Yang, why don’t you go get him?”

‘Me? Go get him?’ Yang Bing froze for a moment, wondering what was going on in Du’Er’s little head. ‘Am I that close with her father?’ She didn’t realize Wenren Meng was observing her reaction. After watching for a long moment, Wenren Meng sighed internally. ‘This Teacher Yang shouldn’t be teaching math; she should be teaching acting. Her performance has reached a level of masterful, traceless perfection.’

Yang Bing couldn’t bear to refuse the little girl, so she grunted in agreement, figuring there was no harm in going to the study to call Yang Hui. The little girl winked at Wenren Meng. ‘See? She couldn’t help but show her true colors.’

“You’re such a little imp.” Wenren Meng had been in high spirits lately. Her older sister was back, which meant the little girl would soon be able to see her mother. Although her biological father had left her forever, she now had Mr. Yang as her “daddy,” and he seemed to treat her even better than her real father.

Yang Hui looked down at his own indecent state and silently chanted, “Amitabha.” But after a while, it still wouldn’t go down. He couldn’t get the memory of Wenren Meng’s exquisite feel out of his mind. *Sigh*, what was he supposed to do?

He suddenly remembered that time at the KTV when Yang Na had seemed to… help him straighten things out. He wondered if it would work. For the first time, he reached down to perform the corrective maneuver himself. Just as his hand landed on it, a woman’s voice came from outside the door. “Mr. Yang, time to ea—AH! You pervert!”

Mortified and angry, Yang Bing spun around and bolted. ‘That damn pervert! Of all the things to play with in broad daylight, he had to play with *that*.’

“Teacher Yang, why is your face so red?” The little girl didn’t understand many things, but Wenren Meng did. She herself had just come out with a red face. ‘Teacher Yang must have fallen victim to his “vicious hands” as well,’ she thought.

Yang Bing’s scream had actually ended up helping Yang Hui. It scared all the distracting thoughts right out of his head. He washed his hands and face and went to the dining room to eat. Apart from the little girl, who talked to him normally, both Wenren Meng and Yang Bing blushed whenever they looked at him.

He buried his head in his food, oblivious to how many people he had inadvertently wounded.

「Ruijing Trading Group Headquarters」

The COO was signing off on OA requests first thing in the morning when he suddenly saw one titled: “Proposal for a Collaborative Promotional Event Between Ruijing Commerce and Xinyue Group in the Qingjiang Region, Starting in July.”

He quickly clicked it open, put on his reading glasses, and read it word by word. Then he slammed his hand on the table. “Excellent!”

All 21 Xinyue Square stores were simultaneously granting Ruijing Commerce the same operational support as before. This would lead to a significant performance boost for the Qingjiang Region. The CEO really had a good eye for talent! A problem the region hadn’t been able to solve for ages was taken care of by Yang Hui on his very first day.

A moment later, two more OA requests came in from the Qingjiang Region. One was regarding salary adjustments, and the other was about adjusting travel expense subsidies.

He clicked them open. The proposed adjustments were by no means small. According to this salary plan, for the office’s fifty-plus employees, the monthly salary cost would increase by 100,000, adding up to a 1.2 million increase in annual expenses.
