Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?

Chapter 1821: Chapter 1068: Ring Seal City (2)
So, is that why you don’t want others to come into contact with the Abyss, understand the Abyss, or fall in love with the Abyss like you did?
“Is that so…?”
Onora tilted her head in confusion, mumbling to herself.
The loading screen during teleportation finally ended, light reappearing before her eyes, interrupting the doubts swirling in her mind.
Before the scenery of the Ring Seal City could come into view, the massive characters of “Ring Seal City” came into focus, plainly stating the name of this place.
Onora appreciated this upfront approach of expression.
The dim sunlight lazily cascaded over her body, causing her to raise a hand to shield herself from the light as her eyes squinted, walking from the darkness.
This hue of sunlight would easily remind one of Yanor Londo, but even though Yanor Londo basks in a twilight glow, it still casts the Royal City in a resplendent light, as if the glory of the gods still lingered, reminding people of its most prosperous era.
However, the sunlight in Ring Seal City couldn’t even be described as twilight but a distasteful yellow-brown, bringing forth a suffocating oppressive atmosphere.
Compared to this, even the skies in the gathering zones seemed bright and sunny.
“Where on Earth does this place connect to?”
Imagining that Ring Seal City is linked to that area proved futile.
The demonic soldiers following Onora created a slight commotion, astonished at the scenery, but with Onora present, they dared not speak loudly, resorting to eye signals for private communication.
The oppressive sensation this woman imparted to the soldiers far surpassed that of Chrono.
She glanced back, confirming twenty soldiers entered, not more, not less, indicating groups entering the World Bubble could reach this number, but whether this count could increase remained unknown.
Finally, people turned their attention to the scene before them.
They were met with the large, immediately visible structure characteristic of the Sain Dungeon.
An expansive bridge lay stretching before them to a towering citadel, beyond which rose a cluster of massive buildings reaching for the sky, like giants watching over the world.
Presumably, that exaggeratedly huge city was the Ring Seal City, while the vast bridge before them…possibly served as the welcoming avenue?
The bridge wasn’t long, devoid of anything except for thick wild grass and pretty clusters of white flowers, simply empty, and the fortress beyond portrayed a scene of dilapidation, with stones scattered all around.
However, Onora spotted a giant on the fortress.
It wasn’t one of those enslaved giants trapped in the Deep Church, but a rather…emaciated giant, only three or four times an average human’s height, robed entirely in black, seated quietly as if dead.
If he got up, he might resemble a tall, slender phantom.
Onora hadn’t sensed any threat from it, but acted nonetheless, launching a beam of magic power across the bridge, blowing the giant’s head off.
The giant trembled, its head tilting to the side before dissipating into ashes.
“So it was alive after all.”
She smirked slightly, extending her spirit to detect nearby threats. After several minutes, she only found a few lurking monsters, cleverly hiding around the area—some hung on the bridge’s edge, others tucked in crevices, or dangling from roofs.
They may be few, but their hiding spots were superb.
Nonetheless, once these monsters were exposed, their threat level paled against the risk of the aging bridge giving way.
Apparently, there wasn’t much to Ring Seal City after all.
Onora took the first step. It was a small step for her, but a giant leap for the Demon Clan in Ring Seal City, as soldiers cautiously followed her down the steps to cross the bridge.
Monsters must spawn in open spaces, and even though the monsters’ locations were determined in advance, Onora wasn’t complacent.
Yet, they reached halfway across the bridge without encountering any attack—could the giant she defeated earlier have been the greatest threat? It was really underwhelming.
No way, with Sain Dungeon’s reputation, it couldn’t be just this level. Onora recalled countless adventurer mishaps, so…
“Roar…”
A deep roar, much like a bell toll, sounded suddenly over the distant citadel, turning the Demonic Clan’s gazes upward.
“Resurrected?” A soldier exclaimed.
The giant Onora had slain reappeared on the chair, raising its hands and letting out a guttural roar.
The sound was like birthing a being or summoning something.
An ominous premonition exploded in Onora’s mind like lightning. She raised a hand to strike the giant’s head once more, but it was too late.
Countless red humanoid phantoms appeared on the bridge, surrounding them.
The expansive bridge was filled to the brim by these red figures!
Despite being taller than these red images by a head on average, the Demon Clan members felt smaller amidst the sea of figures, even admiring these knightly apparitions.
Bows materialized in the red phantoms’ hands, and each of them drew their bows like masters of combat skills, round like a full moon, aiming at the Demonic soldiers.
So the giant’s attack method involved summoning these archers.
Onora reacted instantly, preemptively spinning and lashing out her arm, transforming it into a bladed whip, aiming to cleave any creatures within dozens of meters.
But she had made a miscalculation; these archers didn’t have corporeal forms and couldn’t be attacked!
“Swish, swish, swish, swish —”
No demonic soldier had ever heard so many bowstrings vibrate at such a proximity in their lifetime.
A river of arrows, numbering in the thousands, fired from every angle around the demonic troops.
These arrows became a testament to Ring Seal City’s hospitable nature.
“Ahhh—”
“Damn it!”
“Oh oh—”
The scene was filled with the groans and cries of the demonic soldiers.
The rain of arrows continuously fell in three waves since the appearance of the red phantoms.
Under such pressure, even if a demonic being wielded a Fingerprint Stone Shield, they’d still be skewered!
Onora promptly shielded herself using hardened fleshy skin mixed with Abyss, finding herself densely hit with arrows—they weren’t concerning injuries, but she indeed looked thoroughly disheveled.
This significantly fueled her rising anger.
A glance backward revealed deserted soldiers, all perished.
The arrow’s power was terrifyingly immense, and three waves must have released thousands of arrows.
Thousands of arrows—or more—in such proximity: who could survive?
The giant raised its hands again to summon red phantoms, and with little deliberation, Onora darted toward it.
She manifested an eye on the back of her head to check if the soldiers, having not entered the bridge yet without revival, would still face attacks from these phantoms.
Unexpectedly —
“They aren’t resurrected?”
Onora neared the giant, and as she scaled the fortress.
The prior solitary giant was now swarmed by countless red phantoms.
