"Boss——"

Leon had just turned around at the sound when Maru, that COSPLAY cruise missile, rammed straight into him headfirst, almost sending him off to meet the bonfire on the spot.

Even so, the impact still blew apart all the Fighting Qi Gapar had transferred to him; his face instantly went pale and his knees buckled.

"Boss? Boss! Boss, don’t die, Boss!"

The last thing Leon saw before blacking out was the anxious faces of Maru and the other two, Terderu.

And when he woke up, the first thing he saw was that same expression on those three faces—only this time there was also an Elf standing nearby.

"Right now he’s over‑exhausted on the Spirit side. Try not to let him overexert himself these days. Also, remember to take the medicine on time. Lady Vienma’s special blend is one of the finest in our Elf Forest. Once he finishes the dosage for these few days, he’ll be just about recovered."

The Elf, whose face looked quite unfamiliar, gave Maru and the others a few more instructions, then turned to leave; as she walked out, Leon could still see Maru and the others thanking her profusely.

Looks like this Elf was someone they’d invited to treat Leon.

"Rare to see such a serious, proper Elf..."

That was the first sentence Leon said after regaining consciousness.

"Boss, the first thing you say after waking up is cracking a joke. Now I don’t even know whether I should be worrying about you or joining in to drop a punchline."

Maru instantly popped up at his bedside, complaining with a face full of resentment: "Do you know how long you’ve been missing? Five days, five whole days!"

"Ah, hahaha..." Leon tried to laugh it off, hoping to muddle through.

He knew his time inside Sain Dungeon couldn’t have been short, but only five days in there—it was actually a bit under what he’d budgeted for.

He’d thought at least a week would have gone by.

"I thought I was late coming back, then I get home and see you still aren’t back. Seriously..." Maru flipped on nagging mode.

Leon shot a pleading look at Drew and Tal; one just spread his hands, the other shook his head. They actually weren’t going to help!

No one knew how long it took before Leon finally managed to calm down Maru, who was bursting with complaints and worry. Then he said, "Right, where’s the teacher?"

"He went out, didn’t say what for."

"Oh, oh, then it’s perfect, I’ve made quite a few new discoveries these past few days. Want me to—"

"Boss, I’ve also had quite a lot of gains in Sain Dungeon these past few days——"

Leon and Maru spoke at the same time, then both paused and looked at each other, saying:

"You go first." X2

"Then I’ll go first." X2

"All right, all right, you go first." Leon put an end to the pointless repetition.

"Then I’ll start talking."

Maru went over everything she’d seen and heard in Ulashiro.

At first Leon didn’t react much, but the more he listened, the wider his eyes got. In the end he just flung off the blanket, rolled out of bed, and tried to rush straight to Sain Dungeon to check it out himself!

But the instant his feet touched the floor, a wave of weakness ran through him; if Tal hadn’t grabbed him from the side, he’d have been making intimate contact with the ground all over again.

"I know you’re in a hurry, Boss, but don’t. Being in a hurry now won’t change anything."

Maru shrugged. "The neighboring Luluwo has already emptied the nest and gone all in. We should see the results in the next few days."

Discovering a new area yet not being the first adventurer to clear the local Boss Monster—just thinking about that made Leon feel miserable.

Though honestly, Maru felt that even if their group went, they probably wouldn’t be able to beat Ulashiro’s Boss Monster anyway.

That thing was kind of overtuned, like a supermodel build.

"The doctor who just came by said you need at least a week of bed rest, so forget about going back into Sain Dungeon. Just stay home and rest properly."

"A whole week!?"

Being stuck at home resting for a week felt worse than killing him!

But seeing the resolute look in Maru’s eyes, Leon had no choice but to obey the doctor’s orders.

It was strange though. It’s not like he’d never fought days on end at high intensity inside Sain Dungeon before, but after leaving the Domain, his Spirit felt particularly drained, like that place put a special kind of pressure on the mind.

Leon showed a wistful expression.

If his body weren’t holding him back, he really did want to go see what the Master of the Abyss looked like with his own eyes. Even if it meant putting the Domain on hold for a bit, he’d be fine with that.

Thinking that, he started recounting what he’d seen and experienced in the Domain.

"Originally I wanted to go again together with Teacher Gapar, but looking at things now, I really do need to rest at home for a few days."

"Boss, your experiences these days aren’t simple either..."

After listening, Maru felt like she kind of wanted to tag along with Leon to pioneer that Domain too. Just hearing about the place made it sound fun.

"So this is the Wet Little Scythe you mentioned just now?"

Drew picked up the Wet Little Scythe. The thing was almost half his height in length, and it wasn’t very easy for him to swing.

"It really does feel like an evil weapon."

"This is my biggest haul from this adventure. Oh, right, and that Half-leaf Greatsword over there. I’m going to recommend every adventurer give that thing a try."

"Is it really that amazing? Lemme try... okay yeah, this is not normal!" Tal swung it a few times and immediately yelped in surprise.

"Feels super good in the hand, right? Let me tell you, when I was in the Domain using it, I was..."

The members of the Strategy Group shifted back into their usual fooling‑around, joking‑and‑bickering routine, and for Leon this finally felt like a rare moment of Spirit‑level relaxation.

Just as everyone finished exchanging intel from the past few days and were about to ask what was for dinner, they heard someone knocking on their front door.
