Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?
Chapter 1765 1041: Bottom of the Cave Demon, Wounded Demon
"How many times have we heard that? Whatever it is, it's got a really loud voice."
Leon clearly heard the roaring sound and covered his ears with an annoyed expression.
The Pilgrim Granny once said that these sounds come from Chaos Demons that have fallen here, full of their impending doom and the shrill cries of despair.
When he first heard them, the roars indeed sounded terrifying, filled with resentment and reluctance, along with a heap of negative emotions, enhancing the atmosphere of the gathering place.
But now, after hearing them so many times, they just seem noisy, sometimes even frightening when suddenly encountering an attack.
Leon can't wait to eliminate this demon that only knows how to roar every day, restoring peace to the gathering place.
"It should be nearby."
Based on the exploration and adventures over the past few days, Leon organized a rather practical map, feeling that it could even be sold as a guide.
Since he didn't know how to leave or how to return once he left, Leon basically sustained himself through battles, relying entirely on what he could find in the gathering place for supplies, so he was extra careful when exploring the map.
Fortunately, as a central hub of the world, the gathering place has everything, and any kind of item could be picked up, so his backpack is relatively well-stocked, at least with a variety of resources.
However, the misfortune is that most of the supplies he could pick up in the gathering place are somewhat valuable.
Not just adventurers, even expanding the range to humanity, many people would be reluctant to use those precious items, and Leon is now in a thrifty state, unwilling to use various tools!
He's marked many areas on the map, basically places that require attention.
The exploration experience in the gathering place is quite different from other areas because here, one can encounter scenery and enemies from different eras and regions, meaning that suddenly the scenery changes and the enemies change appearance as you walk.
This requires adventurers to utilize their Sain Dungeon exploration experience from the past to deal with enemies.
At times, it's Fran Fort, sometimes Sick Village, sometimes Sain Ancient City, and possibly encountering Demon Relics, the enemies faced are monsters from those scenarios, the difference being that the various monsters in the gathering place are somewhat withered, and their bodies are somewhat entwined with branch-like things, making them look even older.
If Leon were to describe it.
The entire gathering place is like a grand final exam concocted by Sain Dungeon.
Only flexibly using the adventure experience learned from past adventures can one fight and survive here with ease.
Leon happens to be such a top student.
Therefore, when he encounters the familiar golden scenery within the gathering place, he feels excitement and nostalgia, the adventures in there become moments of respite amidst being stabbed by wet humanoids with small scythes, chased by Harland Knights, and continuously blasted by Pilgrimage Angels' lasers.
Balancing work and rest, the design of the gathering place is very comfortable for him.
As a result, he completely lost track of time while adventuring in the gathering place, even sleeping and resting there.
"If my guess is correct, then the Chaos Demon I'm about to challenge is likely the first Boss Monster I encountered here."
He's even managed to defeat the leader of Chaos Demons, the Chaos Breeding Ground, so why fear the Chaos Demon? He's fought them countless times already.
But this is the gathering place!
Even an inconspicuous wet humanoid has explosive stats, so how much will the Chaos Demon's strength be enhanced?
Ultimately, he must remain alert and face it seriously.
"Thank you for your treasure, then I'll be on my way."
Leon carefully placed the heavy Wedge-shaped Stone Disc into his waist pouch. The large disc suddenly vanished without a trace once fitted into the pouch, which is smaller in size, and surprisingly, his personal load did not increase.
This waist pouch is a new tool Leon found in the gathering place, its effect identical to the rare storage ring, truly proving to be extremely useful for Leon.
It's only been a day or two since he got the waist pouch, and he can hardly recall what his adventure life was like before having it, feeling it was troublesome and inconvenient.
"Goodbye, you take care too, brother." Lapu enthusiastically waved farewell.
After parting from Lapu, Leon proceeded along the collapsed tall tower on the ground, the demon's roar becoming increasingly clear.
According to Lapu, this tall tower is named Mound Tower, a product of some era, but Leon has no memory of it, absolutely not seeing the Mound Tower in his previous adventures.
Could it be a structure to be encountered in another area later?
Just looking at the collapsed ruins can imagine the tower's previous grandeur, the sands of time flowing in the gathering place have blanketed all scenery with yellow dust, the antiquated feeling assaulting one's senses, deeply experiencing the power of time.
