Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?
Chapter 850 - 793: Do You Dare to Kill the Real Me
"Junior Brother, where do you want to go?"
As the old Taoist was about to turn and leave the overseas region, a voice came from Qionghua Hall, followed by a cold and indifferent figure.
The old Taoist paused slightly, his expression complicated as he turned back, remaining silent.
How long had it been since he last heard this form of address?
A thousand years, or maybe two thousand, or even longer...
He ultimately couldn’t let go of Mu Zili and thought of personally making a trip, even if something happened, the three disciples together, along with a small burden of Walking the Dao, would be quite sufficient to handle most situations.
He never expected that Di Liuxin was still here or perhaps had always been sitting in the hall, watching the ebb and flow of Central Continent’s situation.
Di Liuxin walked over slowly, and the two exchanged a brief glance before he spoke first, in a sighing tone.
"You have always been different from us, and this is not good."
For once, the old Taoist faced him calmly and smiled slowly.
"I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it."
"Wrong, it’s very bad."
Di Liuxin shook his head in a serious manner, interrupting him before continuing.
"Master took on five disciples, so why are you the most talented, the fastest in cultivation, this is not good."
However, with a change in tone, Di Liuxin nodded as well.
"But you went ahead and cultivated Speech Follows the Will, losing yourself, which is good."
Di Liuxin’s words were laden with astonishing information and no other cultivators were around, otherwise, such shocking news could have caused a sensation.
No one could have imagined that the old Taoist had such a relationship with the Four Extremes Hall.
Perhaps this was the one thing that made the old Taoist most fearless of Di Liuxin.
Similarly, to Di Liuxin’s words, the old Taoist gave a slight mocking smile.
Being different wasn’t bad, just like his disciples, each with different personalities.
"There’s nothing wrong with it, as long as you all are happy."
The old Taoist laughed with ease.
Di Liuxin suddenly raised his eyes to look at him, as if to say that wasn’t the point at all.
The old Taoist also knew that wasn’t the point Di Liuxin intended.
After a moment of silence, still, it was Di Liuxin who spoke slowly, "I don’t understand what you’re thinking, nor do the senior brothers."
Clearly, the old Taoist was the most brilliant one back then, his speed in cultivation so fast that it made the rest of them struggle for breath.
If it weren’t for the old Taoist’s mind going awry in the end, choosing to cultivate something like Speech Follows the Will, perhaps today it wouldn’t be Four Extremes Hall, but Five Extremes Hall!
Even four hall masters couldn’t figure out what the old Taoist was thinking after so many years.
Obviously, he could have reached the pinnacle, so why choose a different path?
In front of him was a broad avenue, yet he chose to walk a forest path alone, parting ways with them completely.
The old Taoist was silent for a moment, then suddenly said, "That was the path drawn by Master, not the one I want to walk."
"Is there a difference?"
Di Liuxin tilted his head slightly, feeling the old Taoist’s words were full of contradiction.
"Master was a Celestial Being who pioneered the path of cultivation, our cultivation journey started with him, aren’t cultivators like us just walking his path?"
From the beginning, the old Taoist was already on this path, only now claiming it wasn’t his path, isn’t this the most ridiculous thing!
The old Taoist suddenly laughed, because he used to think the same way, until he had an epiphany one day.
"There’s something you’re wrong about."
The path of cultivation wasn’t created by someone, in that environment, it was the most suitable for cultivation, and whether or not you had your master’s presence, there would always be people emerging to explore.
The rules of heaven and earth were never created, but discovered.
Unless you are the Heavenly Dao!
Di Liuxin’s eyes suddenly turned cold as he looked at the old Taoist with a murderous intent, "You can’t have such an epiphany!"
"That’s the difference between you and me, I can accept all possibilities in the world while you can’t."
The old Taoist shook his head slightly, sighing in disappointment.
In front of them lay the raging ocean.
The old Taoist suddenly pointed below, and when Di Liuxin looked up, it was the scene of turbulent waves, rising and falling endlessly.
"Can you say just because I was the first to discover this law, it proves I created this rule?"
Di Liuxin was taken aback.
The old Taoist continued, cultivation is inherently part of the rules, whether it is True Essence or Spiritual Power, it exists within the rules, so it can circulate within the body.
"Master, is also within the rules, so I will walk my own path."
Since it’s all within the rules, why shouldn’t he choose the path he wants.
"How dare you compare yourself to Master!"
Di Liuxin suddenly snapped, the murderous intent spreading thickly.
It was as if this in itself was a form of blasphemy to him.
As for the old Taoist, he looked at him mockingly, slowly opening his mouth, "These words, I said to Master face to face in the past."
It was yet another thing that surprised Di Liuxin greatly.
He actually dared...
This too was the thing the four of them found most unbearable about the old Taoist, why everyone had to be respectful to Master, but this guy dared to be so brazen, and was never reprimanded for it.
Why he had the gall to say these things to Master directly, without any consequences.
Di Liuxin thought he had completely abandoned his emotions, yet could still have his jealousy ignited by the old Taoist.
The old Taoist watched his volatile face, the mocking expression growing more intense.
Indeed, the core reason he was unwilling to follow their path.
The loss of humanity.
Sometimes it’s cheap, but sometimes, someone will hide it deeply in their heart.
"Look at you, imitating beside him, he is he, you are you, he is emotionless, you have lost humanity."
"His path is not your path."
The old Taoist’s words were like a hammer striking directly at Di Liuxin’s heart. In an instant, blood trickled from Di Liuxin’s mouth.
"You bastard, you want to destroy my Dao heart!"
This old guy actually wanted to defeat him with mere words.
Forcing himself to calm his anger and reenter a state of ancient tranquility, Di Liuxin’s face still contorted.
"Don’t you know, I’ve sent people to kill your precious disciples."
Di Liuxin seemed to want to gain an edge, unable to resist speaking.
Sure enough, the old Taoist sprang up as if his tail had been stepped on, furious beyond measure.
"All for your former jealousy? How old are you guys, still acting like children, isn’t that ridiculous!"
Di Liuxin felt somewhat relieved inside; so the former genius also had weaknesses, not so dazzling after all.
"Those people are too much like you were in the past and I particularly dislike it."
That was the reason, absurd as it was.
But Di Liuxin felt justified in his actions.
Back then, the old Taoist was unlike everyone else, and now his disciples were unlike any other Celestial Dao Sect cultivators.
It seemed like a repetitive cycle, something that made one nauseated!
"Do you really think I didn’t know that girl came down? Or that I didn’t know your talented disciple was doing things behind my back?"
Di Liuxin kept sneering, these were merely trivial matters to be laughed off, his murderous intent was the real issue.
The old Taoist, full of anger, was about to turn and escape, but his body was suddenly pinned in place.
The stone platform!
The stone platform’s power still remained!
This was indeed the power of the stone platform, once able to trap Lian Buyu, it could of course imprison the old Taoist now.
"After all, you are no longer the person you once were."
This was the aspect Di Liuxin was most satisfied with, the old Taoist was too bright, bright enough to be hateful.
Even bright enough to evoke a murderous intent.
He genuinely wanted to kill the old Taoist, right here.
"What about you? Are you still the same as before? Or Master, is he still the same as before?"
The old Taoist could feel the other’s murderous intentions, yet continued to mock.
Then, his voice paused, as he raised his head once again, his whole being underwent a massive transformation.
His white hair turned to black, his wrinkled skin tightened, and his stature subtly grew taller.
These changes weren’t the most critical, the most crucial change was the old Taoist transforming into a young man full of vigor and charm.
He looked at the other with mocking eyes, almost teasingly.
"But I am still the person I was, do you dare to kill me like this?"
