Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?
Chapter 753 - 696: Han Yu’s Undercover Identity in Doubt
In the sky above the Southern Border, several figures gradually appeared.
First, Su Xiaoxiao, accompanied by the old Daoist and Han Yu, tumbled out from the Celestial Chasm, followed shortly by Mu Zili.
"You stay here as the Guardian!"
Mu Zili handed several jade slips to Su Xiaoxiao, each infused with his Dharma Aspect to shield against Soul-Snap’s sudden attacks.
But it seemed unlikely they’d rush back after the battle had just ended.
After all, the casualties among the cultivators of Yama Hall were not few this time. Thinking of this, Mu Zili couldn’t help but glance at Han Yu.
Particularly because this guy had been the fiercest, single-handedly killing more Yama Hall cultivators than the Celestial Dao Sect cultivators combined.
Mu Zili was quite confident in his abilities, yet he couldn’t manage the same overwhelming stance in the same realm.
Truly a monster!
"I have to return to the Small Internal World once."
There were matters he couldn’t avoid; the great array in the Central Continent had begun, and a glimpse of Yama Hall’s trump card had been revealed. Their sacred artifact was being drawn to the Central Continent, and then there was Han Yu...
These issues constantly lingered in his mind, compelling him to return to clarify them.
Moreover, the old Daoist was in bad shape again. The interval between his master’s injuries was indeed short; just healed and ventured out, only to be carried back again.
Su Xiaoxiao wore a bitter expression, speaking with a tinge of bitterness, "Will that shameless guy take the chance to mess with me?"
He feared that Soul-Snap might bully the younger one.
"I’ll be back soon."
Mu Zili spoke calmly; his strength made going back and forth easy, and with the precautions he left, as long as Su Xiaoxiao didn’t court death, it would buy him enough time to escape.
Moreover, it was only a brief return journey, so he wasn’t leaving for good.
With that, he offered no chance for Su Xiaoxiao to complain, turned and flew towards the old Daoist and Han Yu, and the three of them vanished from the spot.
This didn’t give Han Yu any chance to react either!
A moment later, Han Yu suddenly felt something was off. Not only was Mu Zili’s speed terrifyingly fast, but he also seemed not to plan on letting him go!
"No, senior, the direction you’re taking me isn’t right!"
By the time he realized, he was already above the vast sea.
So fast!
In such a short time, they had crossed a vast territory!
He could even see the old site of Old Sea Stone City behind him, yet Mu Zili showed no sign of stopping.
"Senior, how about putting me down first, I’ve arrived home."
Han Yu lamented and hurriedly spoke up.
"What’s the rush, I’m just taking you as a guest."
Mu Zili smiled faintly; there was no way he’d leave Han Yu at the Southern Border at ease. Soul-Snap might not act against Su Xiaoxiao, but Han Yu was another story.
Both had determined Han Yu’s identity, with one wanting to protect and the other to kill.
Besides, he also wanted to further confirm Han Yu’s identity.
Within the Small Internal World, less than a hundred cultivators of the Walking the Dao remained, composed of a group of Daoist cultivators.
Of course, there were also Wang Xingzhi and his group.
Now they were entirely reduced to gatekeepers, given the current competition, their Initial Realm cultivation was virtually cannon fodder.
Su Xiaoxiao’s own group was limited, and the Small Internal World also needed guards, so he simply let these ten folks stay here with the Wandering Spirit Daoist.
Upon returning, Han Yu made a point to greet them.
When Liu Zongyuan saw Han Yu now, his heart was mixed with emotions.
Clearly, the little kid he once saved now had grown unbelievably strong.
The last time they met, he saw Han Yu slay Initial Realm cultivators like slaughtering animals.
Such a stark contrast was hard to accept.
Wang Xingzhi felt similarly; he remembered being chased by them, and now even Walker Dao cultivators were no match for him.
The changes in life were too rapid.
Only the Wandering Spirit Daoist remained calm, as Han Yu rambled on, only to find that this guy was dazed from beginning to end.
"You wait here!"
Mu Zili tossed the words and headed with the old Daoist straight to the peak’s hall.
Behind the hall, Mu Zili promptly used his aura to communicate with the divine platform, and before long, his voice resonated within the hall.
A cultivator’s voice came respectfully, "What orders does Elder Mu have?"
Mu Zili’s expression turned solemn, speaking in a sonorous voice, "Please summon the Elder of Qionghua Hall, inform them that Mu Zili has important matters to discuss."
He urgently needed answers, whether regarding Yama Hall or Han Yu.
After a long period, a deep voice finally echoed within the hall.
"What is it?"
The voice carried an indifferent tone, inherent with a sense of authority.
Upon hearing it, Mu Zili and the old Daoist hastily paid their respects. Mu Zili stepped forward and began recounting.
"The great array of Yama Hall has been activated..."
It wasn’t only about the array’s activation but its intent and the present situation, all conveyed concisely by Mu Zili.
"Hmm, noted."
The voice was unhurried, without a single ripple of emotion.
So, was all this within the Celestial Dao Sect’s calculations?
Mu Zili’s mind raced with such speculation.
Was it possible that this was all intentionally orchestrated by the Celestial Dao Sect, meaning there were still hidden plans here?
"Immediately, I will dispatch a few Elders there; you should remain stationed."
The Elder of Qionghua Hall, seemingly uninterested in solving Mu Zili’s doubts, coldly made the arrangements.
Before the voice faded, Mu Zili, unable to restrain himself, asked proactively.
"Elder, do we have arrangements in Central Continent as well?"
There was silence for a long time, just when Mu Zili and the old Daoist thought the person had left.
A wave suddenly enveloped Mu Zili completely, and the old Daoist could only look at him strangely as his lips moved slightly, but could not hear a single sound.
This was naturally the means of the Qionghua Hall Elder, evidently unwilling to reveal Mu Zili’s question.
Thus, the first thing he asked was, "What do you know?"
Mu Zili knew nothing, at most he was just guessing.
No matter what, the Celestial Dao Sect should not be toyed with by the Yama Hall in such a manner.
Hence, he voiced his speculation, and then spoke again.
"Can it be that the repeated successes of the Yama Hall are within the sect’s plans?"
The voice paused slightly, as if pondering, and quickly replied.
"That’s right, such minor skirmishes are not worth mentioning."
This is just a minor skirmish?
Mu Zili’s expression froze slightly; it was already to this extent, yet the sect was not anxious at all.
Moreover, unlike the Yama Hall’s ostentatious actions, everything inside the Celestial Dao Sect remained quiet.
In fact, Mu Zili wanted to ask what the arrangement was, but he knew that since even elders like himself were not informed, asking would be fruitless.
There was one more thing weighing heavily on him, and after pondering for a long time, he decided to ask.
"In Central Continent, do we have hidden agents?"
After just one sentence, the air suddenly stagnated, and the old Daoist, who couldn’t comprehend, felt a huge pressure.
The atmosphere seemed to become tense.
Mu Zili knew that he had guessed right; otherwise, there wouldn’t be such a commotion.
The oppressive atmosphere lasted for a moment and then dissipated into nothingness.
"How many people know?"
The Qionghua Hall Elder asked coldly.
Well... counting fully, it’s just him and the old Daoist, no—Soul Not Returning knows too!
Soul Not Returning knows, which means the Yama Hall knows.
"Why does the Yama Hall know?"
The voice was extremely oppressive, with a restrained anger.
Mu Zili wanted to say it’s not his fault; from beginning to end, he didn’t know Han Yu was a hidden agent, so he let him wander in front of the Yama Hall.
In the end, this was how he was exposed to the Yama Hall.
He briefly recounted Han Yu’s situation and then spoke softly.
"I’ve brought him back, just at the foot of the mountain below."
Han Yu was casually chatting with Wang Xingzhi and his group when suddenly the Glazed Bottle moved, a mist rapidly spread, shrouding the entire Five Elements World in the blink of an eye.
All this happened too fast, even the Artifact Spirit was bewildered.
What’s going on?
Han Yu was momentarily stunned; generally, such an occurrence usually had one explanation, and that was a distinguished person was spying.
Just as he entertained this thought, a presence quickly enveloped him, and Han Yu inexplicably felt a naked exposure in front of people.
The presence came quickly but left just as swiftly, disappearing completely within a few breaths.
If not for the mist from the bottle still lingering, Han Yu would have thought it was an illusion.
"There is definitely a mighty figure on the mountain!"
The Artifact Spirit’s voice cautiously reminded in a very low tone.
Mu Zili perceived the presence returning and quickly asked softly, "Do we need to hide him here?"
As long as Han Yu is hidden in the small grotto-heavens, there should be no danger.
Even if the Yama Hall wants to find him, it won’t be easy.
This was the purpose of bringing Han Yu back, first to confirm, and second to possibly hide him in the small grotto-heavens.
However, the voice came through and surprised him.
"No need, since..."
It seemed to deliberate and then continued speaking.
"Putting him in Central Continent will be effective, just protect him well."
Just like that?
Mu Zili frowned slightly, feeling it was somewhat lacking in thorough consideration.
Then, no more sound was heard, evidently truly gone this time.
"How is it?"
Once the person left, the old Daoist couldn’t help but come closer.
Other matters he wasn’t free to inquire, but the identity of Han Yu he was aware of, asking wouldn’t hurt.
Mu Zili remained deep in thought with lowered brows, and after a moment spoke curiously, "He didn’t deny."
If there’s no denial, then that’s settled.
"But I found it strange, don’t you think it’s a bit too careless?"
Mu Zili always found it odd; if it’s a secret move, just exposing it without any follow-up?
Or is this also part of the plan?
Yet he had some doubts, whether Han Yu was truly a hidden agent.
The old Daoist, upon hearing that, waved his hand and spoke, "No mistake!"
Because he had verified it himself, he just hadn’t had the chance to tell Mu Zili.
So he proceeded to elaborate on his prior conversation with Han Yu.
"Just these traits sufficiently indicate he is not of Central Continent!"
