Who Brought Him into the Cultivation World?
Chapter 745 - 688: Is Han Yu a Hidden Agent of the Celestial Dao Sect?
Ghostly Soul suddenly felt something stir within his heart, the power of the millstone he’d been keeping locked with his aura was beginning to wane!
And the speed of its decline came in waves, as if someone was stripping away its power.
How is this possible!
Yet the feedback he kept receiving was absolutely real.
In that moment, Ghostly Soul immediately thought of that figure suspected to be Celestial Dao Sect’s backup.
It must be him.
Especially if it truly was that kid, it solidified Celestial Dao Sect’s strategic plans.
Already filled with murderous intent, Ghostly Soul suddenly withdrew, the Dao Palace instantly freed from the entanglement of multicolored radiance, retreating along with its Dharma Aspect.
Han Yu had just noticed something, finally there was a change in the millstone, according to the Artifact Spirit, the millstone’s defenses were breached.
The power that had been continuously filling it was gradually being stripped away by the West River Slash, and if this could completely discharge, Han Yu could deal a core destruction to the millstone.
It seemed the West River Slash wasn’t useless, but rather the cultivators just absorbed were too many, even overshadowing the damage of his West River Slash.
"Just like that, slowly wear it down."
The Artifact Spirit finally relaxed his eyebrows, it was good that West River Slash worked.
If even West River Slash was ineffective, Han Yu might have to escape with the millstone.
The sounds of battle cries grew near, and before long Han Yu was discovered once more, nearly a thousand cultivators simultaneously turned into streams of light and charged, a formidable formation.
Han Yu helplessly lifted the millstone and instantly vanished from where he stood, unsurprisingly causing the group to miss again.
"Damn it, what the hell is this damned Dharma Aspect."
The cultivators from Yama Hall were gnashing their teeth in anger, it was just too shameless.
Han Yu’s ability to move freely within a ten-mile radius made him untouchable, no matter how fast they followed, they couldn’t keep up with his quicker, silent moves.
After several flickering movements, Han Yu found himself in a deserted location, ready to continue using West River Slash on the millstone.
Suddenly, a heart-palpitating anxiety arose without cause.
Not only Han Yu, but even the Artifact Spirit had the same misperception.
"Run!"
The Artifact Spirit reacted more swiftly, almost instinctively shouting.
Thanks to their long-nurtured rapport, Han Yu acted equally instinctively, disappearing without hesitation as soon as the Artifact Spirit’s words fell.
In an instant, a Dao Palace crashed into the spot where Han Yu had just stood, Ghostly Soul’s figure silently appeared.
After the failed strike, Ghostly Soul quickly turned.
The two figures appeared almost simultaneously in a location, Han Yu’s scalp tingled, he finally knew who had attacked him.
Damn it, how dare he bully the small with the big.
How shameless for a thousand-year-old ghost to bully a young person like him.
Ghostly Soul’s gaze darted towards that millstone, instantly turned cold.
"So it was you causing the trouble."
The millstone had lost much power, he could clearly sense it.
In the next moment, Ghostly Soul boldly attacked, and just as Han Yu wanted to repeat his trick, unexpectedly, a series of chimes rang from the Dao Palace, spreading harmonious sounds that completely trapped the surrounding few miles!
"I can’t move!"
Han Yu was shocked, his Dharma Aspect couldn’t allow him to move anymore.
"He’s suppressing your Dharma Aspect with his own."
Artifact Spirit’s face darkened, and he too cursed angrily.
"This shameless fellow uses strength to oppress others."
As Ghostly Soul attacked with extreme ferocity, the Dao Palace came down with powerful suppression, leaving no escape gap.
Countless ghostly souls surged out, instantly covering the sky, more and more iron chains continuously crawled out from the Dao Palace, diverging in all directions.
"Shameless, bullying the small with the big!"
"Ten breaths of unbearable stomach pain!"
Two urgent voices came in succession, first with five-colored radiance blocking in front of Han Yu, then a star river forcing the ghostly souls back into the Dao Palace.
The old Taoist and Mu Zili arrived in unison, attacking almost simultaneously.
Mu Zili’s moves were honorable, only the old Taoist’s techniques made Ghostly Soul’s expression somewhat odd.
God knows when a Divine Dao Realm expert last had a stomachache.
Right now, however, he’s reliving the experience.
The old Taoist lacking martial virtue, even added casually, "Stumble within seven steps."
Ghostly Soul’s face flushed like pig liver, gritting his teeth and glaring fiercely at the old Taoist.
"Words turn into law!"
This had to make him cautious, though it lacked the sheer power of Dharma Aspect, its greatest advantage was once it issued the Heavenly Constitution, it was akin to the laws of heaven and earth, irresistibly.
Seeing Ghostly Soul stepping out seven steps, stumbling in mid-air proved it.
At this, he became further convinced of Han Yu’s identity.
Such strange abilities, and such targeted methods against their Yama Hall.
Claiming no relation with Celestial Dao Sect was utterly unbelievable.
Not only him, Mu Zili and the old Taoist exchanged glances, seemingly sharing the same speculation.
If Han Yu had no one behind him, he couldn’t explain this peculiar power.
"Protect him."
Mu Zili made a decision immediately and instructed the old Taoist.
The old Taoist’s demeanor became serious, silently nodding his head.
Ghostly Soul had already resurrected the Dao Palace by then, looking icy cold.
"You cannot protect him!"
If he aimed to quickly confront Mu Zili, it wouldn’t be easy.
However, if his aim was to eliminate a minor character under Mu Zili, it’d be too easy.
"You could try!"
Mu Zili responded sharply, locking horns.
The two once again attacked together, but no longer aiming at each other, instead the Dao Palace and radiance rushed towards Han Yu.
"What a wretched situation!"
Han Yu’s scalp tingled, he never expected to simultaneously become a target for two masters.
"Stop spacing out, get moving!"
The old Taoist suddenly appeared behind Han Yu, forcefully unleashed a star river breaking the suppression on him, simultaneously propelling Han Yu several miles away.
"Go!"
The old Taoist materialized with a flash, grabbed Han Yu intending immediate escape.
"Can’t!"
A cold laugh echoed, as Ghostly Soul once again came charging with the Dao Palace.
Han Yu’s face changed, he hurriedly reversed grip and pulled the old Taoist, in such a form his speed was more effective than the old Taoist’s.
After the Dao Palace missed its strike again, Ghostly Soul quickly vanished, and so did Mu Zili.
Han Yu flipped several times, carrying the old Taoist and the millstone, shuttling continuously within that ten-mile range.
"Can you break out beyond ten miles?"
The old Taoist nervously asked.
Han Yu’s face darkened, "You should take a look behind first."
It wasn’t that he couldn’t, but that he dared not.
Once out of the Dharma Aspect range, he couldn’t assure survival.
Whereas the old Taoist’s Celestial Chasm, they feared would be struck before attacking.
"I have my apprentice holding on, if necessary we could pull a combo."
The old Taoist had a moment of inspiration, but not much.
For Han Yu’s power was drastically dwindling.
Supporting two Dharma Aspects simultaneously was entirely unfeasible.
Behind, Ghostly Soul and Mu Zili were in fierce pursuit, battling as they chased.
Especially Ghostly Soul, frequently throwing masses of ghostly souls to attack.
Terrifying Han Yu and the old Taoist into turning tail and fleeing.
"Aren’t you also a Divine Dao Realm expert, go and hold them off!"
Han Yu urged the old Taoist.
"Hold my ass! Those ghostly things my words-to-law can’t affect."
The old Taoist’s most fatal flaw was his power adjustment targeted solely living beings.
For inanimate entities like these, it was his absolute nemesis.
Especially in the same realm, he was severely disadvantaged.
Han Yu’s initial illusions about the old Taoist shattered instantly.
Watching the old Taoist stir the opponent earlier, he had thought the old Taoist grew stronger against threats, but turns out he remained the same, just letting loose some Heavenly Constitution spells and running.
The two constantly flickered, while two masters were in hot pursuit.
Han Yu didn’t know when he became so popular.
"This kid’s one of your Celestial Dao Sect’s spies, isn’t he?"
Ghostly Soul chased while coldly scoffing.
Mu Zili neither affirmed nor denied, internally sharing the same suspicion.
"Then I must kill him."
Ghostly Soul laughed coldly and sinisterly, given Mu Zili’s demeanor, he decided to use his trump card.
A bolt of lightning suddenly struck, storm clouds quickly gathered in the skies of the Western Territory.
In an instant, both Han Yu and the old Taoist felt a chill rise up their spines...
