Chapter 673 Border of Reality.
673 Border of Reality.
“The demons have been awfully quiet lately.” The gods were talking in the Legacy Company’s front lounge. They were ready to defend the city at a moment’s notice, so none of them lost their concentration, even for a moment.
God Zeus and God Odin were seated around a round table along with other major gods, such as Ares, Apollo, Poseidon, etc.
However, even though they were all concentrated, they didn’t notice a person walking right past them. The person looked transparent, as if he was donning an invisible cloak. No one realized anything, like he wasn’t existing.
He was Underlord, who was walking inside the borders of reality. It made him impossible because he wasn’t inside the known reality, so it was no different from not existing.
He took the stairs since he couldn’t interact with any objects, otherwise he would be caught quickly. Thus, he ran up the staircase and, after ten minutes, arrived at the top floor.
It was almost like running a marathon, but he didn’t look exhausted even slightly. He left the staircase, entered the empty hallways, and walked over to the last door at the end of the hallway. He could feel fluctuations in the air.
The fluctuations were like bubbles, and Underlord did everything to dodge them. If he touched even one bubble, the Primordial Gods would find him because those bubbles were physical manifestations of their aura.
No one else was able to see them, not even the Primordial Gods. It was only accessible by Underlord and Erebus.
Underlord carefully put his hand on the door handle, opened a gap and sneaked inside the room. He then slowly closed the door and tried to not make any sound.
The door slowly closed with a soft click, and only Arthur heard the sound, as everyone else was occupied by the monitors. He turned to look at the door with a frown but quickly turned back to the monitors after not seeing anything.
Underlord went to the farthest corner of the room and quietly listened to their discussion.
“There.” Aether pointed at one of the monitors. It showed a video feed of a drone, which was hovering right above a desolate land with burnt and frozen ground. The mountains were leveled to the ground, and the environment was entirely destroyed.
It was like a battle between two titans happened there.
“What in the world happened there?” Arthur stood to his feet and looked with fascination.
“…” Gaia frowned and tapped gently on Aether’s shoulder. “I saw something in the direction of the west. Move the drone over there.”
Aether nodded as he held the controller of the drone. He carefully flew over to the west while the monitor showed more of the destruction. There didn’t seem to be anything special. However, then they all saw a person, who looked like a person, lying on the ground with burnt skin.
The drone flew closer until it was only two meters above the person.
Satan’s corpse appeared in a view.
“T-That’s Satan!” Shiva jumped to his feet in disbelief. His third eye opened and added immense pressure to the room. At times, when he lost control, he would also lose control of his third eye. At worst times, his loss of control could lead to the destruction of reality.
But he had learned to control his emotions well enough to quickly calm himself down. The third eye soon closed.
“How is this possible?” Uranus asked with a frown. “Who killed him? Ceto or Chaos?”
“Not me.” A door suddenly opened and Chaos stepped right into the room. “I have also been here in my quarters.”
“Ceto then?”
“She is fighting against Leviathan as far as I know.” Aether rubbed his chin with a frown. “Also, I don’t think Ceto can defeat Satan on dry land.”
“Satan has an absolute advantage on dry land, and I don’t think any of us can defeat him in terms of pure firepower.” Gaia’s beautiful face showed a mystifying expression. She was honestly amazed and curious.
As the rest of the primordial gods frowned and gave their ideas, Underlord was solemnly looking at the monitor. ‘He is dead? Wasn’t he the second strongest demon on paper? I thought the demons would destroy the gods effortlessly, but why does it look like they are losing?
‘Did Erebus make a mistake by choosing their side? Should I escape while I still can?’
“Well, one thing is for sure.” Aether sighed and looked over to the rest. “Satan’s death is the biggest turning point in this war. The demons might not be aware of his death yet, so this might be a good time to launch a counter-attack.”
“What is on your mind?” Chronos asked.
Aether looked back at the screens and smiled. “S… Arthur, bring all the Mythical VR Helmets you have in store. We are going back to White Online to make it ours again!”
Arthur’s face beamed, and he immediately nodded. He contacted with a phone call his secretary, Emilia, and the rest of the employees to bring all the Mythical VR Helmets.
“Tell the players that we need their help.” Aether crossed his arms. “We might not be able to enter the game, but players can and we have to leave to them to conquer the planet for us.”
“Alright.”
Underlord listened to everything with a dark expression. ‘You think I would allow you to do that? Hmph, it’s time for me to return and tell them what I found out. They will have enough time to think of a trap and use Erebus’ reality warping powers to kill them inside the game.’
He left the room once the employees came with boxes of VR Helmets, descended down the stairs, and soon left the building. There was a spaceship waiting for him in the forest, and it was auto-piloted to take him right to Lucifer’s ship.
He soon left White Paradise, entered the forest, and found the spaceship, which had enough space for three.
After turning the spaceship on, the auto-pilot started working, and the ship slowly started to ascend towards the sky.
However, then a voice came from behind him.
“Found you…”
Undelord whipped his head around and saw a familiar white-haired man stepping through a crack of reality!
‘How the hell he found me?! I am still hiding at the border of reality!’
