Chapter 474 lnside Tartarus
Chapter 474 lnside Tartarus
Inside a bright room with dozens of hospital equipment and beeping machines.
A bruised man with white pupils lay on a metal table surrounded by white-clad doctors. The man was unconscious.
However, then the man twitched, and his eyelids fluttered before light returned to his pupils.
“Ugh…” Mint Konfig grunted in pain and looked around with hazy vision. He could barely recognize the doctors, but then he felt something metallic clinging to his wrist and ankles.
“W-Where am I..?”
“You are in Tartarus, the place where we will cure you.” The Head Doctor of the Tartarus facility said while aligning his glasses. He looked intellectual and cold.
“Cure me?! There is nothing wrong with me!” Mint opened his bloodied mouth and tried to take a bite off Head Doctor’s arm but couldn’t reach it.
The Head Doctor didn’t even flinch, “Like a rabid dog…”
He took out the clipboard and read aloud Mint’s info, “Mint Konfig, mass murderer… and you say nothing is wrong with you, hah.”
“Piss off!” Mint tightly clenched his fists, and soon the crimson veins surrounded his arms. After the room turned much hotter, the crimson veins suddenly disappeared!
“E-Eh, what?” He looked around with confusion, wondering why his abilities weren’t working.
“You can’t use your abilities here.” The Head Doctor tapped the cuffs with a pencil and said, “These nullified your abilities.”
“M-my abilities…” Mint murmured with a defeated look. After receiving his powerful Legacy, he felt like he was above others and that he was chosen one. However, now he hit a wall called reality.
“Now then…” The Head Doctor took a sharp object from a nearby table and said, “Shall we see what your brain looks like? Hehe, no worries, it will only sting a bit.”
“No!” Mint squirmed around, trying to break the cuffs with a desperate attempt. However, after noticing it was futile, his mind went blank, and he threw all reasoning out of the window.
Crack!
“Eh?” The Head Doctor and several other Doctors looked shocked as Mint’s wrist suddenly broke!
“ARGH!” After Mint broke his wrists, he slipped his hands out of the cuffs and slammed his broken fist straight into the Head Doctor’s face.
“PTUI!” The Head Doctor spat a mouthful of blood as he crashed to the floor. A large red hand mark was on his face, and blood drips left his nose.
‘His abilities got nullified, but Zhen Wu’s legacy taught him Martial Arts skills which the cuffs cannot nullify!’ He thought anxiously as he was barely staying conscious.
“Head Doctor!” The Doctors screamed.
“ARGH!” Mint screamed as the crimson veins suddenly swelled. He could only use abilities with his arms, and he again smashed his broken hands into the cuffs that locked his legs.
Crack!
The power of crimson veins destroyed the cuffs effortlessly.
Now, Mint was free from the cuffs.
He leaped out of the metal table and sent a spinning kick toward the doctors.
Smack!
The kick sent the doctors hurtling across the room, straight into the sturdy walls.
SMASH!
The doctors felt their spines breaking as the wall stopped their flight. The doctors fell limply to the ground, breathing rough and painfully.
Mint broke the door and bolted out of the room. As he looked around, he noticed several soldiers walking in a brightly lit hallway.
“Hey, stop there!” The soldiers took out their firearms and aimed. However, Mint was already in front of them with the crimson veins smoking. As he kicked the soldiers, three tons of force struck them in the chests.
”UGH!” Soldiers collapsed on the ground with their uniforms ripped to pieces. In an instant, they were dead.
“Whew…” Mint swiped his hair back and snorted, “So weak, not even a single Chain Breaker among them. I guess breaking out of this ‘Tartarus’ is easier than I thought.’
He grabbed the dead soldiers’ keys and continued running in the hallways.
While running, he met with several soldiers. However, he killed them effortlessly with only one kick. The pain in his wrists made him reluctant to use any hand-based attacks.
“Wait, is that the exit?” Mint thought aloud while sprinting through the hallways. At the far end, he could see a steel door.
‘After I break out of this place, I am done playing nice… I can become King of a nation with ease, and no one can stop me!’ Mint snorted and jumped off the floor. As he spun around several times in mid-air, he kicked at the steel door numerous times in an attempt to break it!
BOOM!
The steel door was ripped away from its hinges and fell to the floor. Mint stepped into the room and frowned.
There were thousands of monitors and soldiers who were aiming their firearms at him.
“So… this wasn’t the exit?” Mint clicked his tongue, and suddenly the crimson veins protruded within his arms.
“So, who is going to die first?”
The soldiers looked fearless as they held their fingers close to the trigger.
“Hey, stop threatening my soldiers.”
Mint frowned and looked toward the tall chair.
The tall chair slowly turned around, revealing General All-America with his eternal grin.
“Who the fuck are you?” Mint asked while aiming his attack toward the muscular soldier.
“My name is All-America, and I am Commander of this facility.” General All-America stood up from the chair and moved around his rusty limbs, “I haven’t fought in a long time. I hope you are worthy of my time.”
“Big words, but can you survive even one attack?!” Mint lunged forward, and crimson veins encircled his legs as he kicked All-America in the chest!
“Heh.” Mint grinned after his foot landed perfectly on All-America’s chest. He expected him to start crying in pain. However, his expectations got crushed.
“Is that all?” General All-America looked down at his chest with a grin. Then he grabbed ahold of Mint’s leg and slammed him down against the ground!
BAM!
“UGH!” Mint spat out a mouthful of blood after his back collided with the tiled floor, ‘W-What… who is this man?!’
“Little squirt, go back where you came from!” All-America’s arm turned blurry as he threw Mint flying across the hallway!
When Mint hit the floor, he continued to bounce until he finally stopped right in front of the bright room where he had first woken up.
All-America’s throw destroyed the walls and the floors of the hallway. It was a miracle that Mint was even breathing.
”U-Ugh…” Mint spat out broken teeth. His fingers were twitching as he tried to stretch his hands towards the end of the hallway.
“Well, hello there.” The Head Doctor stepped out of the bright room while holding a napkin to stop his nosebleed, “Shall we continue our treatment?”
