Chapter 180 - One Bullet To Decide It All.
''Hmm, what is that?'' A young girl around 15s of age saw a strange sight. She was currently scrolling down the StreamKing website and noticed quite unique thumbnail of a stream.
It had a white-haired youth facing against a muscular Orc, and their surroundings were what fascinated the young girl. They seemed to be in a dimly lit place and standing on top of some kind of purple rockish place.
The view count also surprised her because it had 200, and it showed that the stream was still declared as new!
She has often watched new streamers, but she has never seen anyone above 10 viewers in their first stream, let alone 200!
''Is the streamer a famous person?'' She thought that it had a lot of viewers because the streamer is some kind of celebrity; it was the only explanation she could find.
It still made her curious, and she decided to click the thumbnail.
The first thing she saw was how busy the chat was, and it looked like they were going crazy for some reason.
But then, she saw the stream, and her eyes almost bulged out of her skull after the camera captured the massive Centipede in the distance.
''W-W-What!'' She screamed so loud that her mother, who was currently cooking dinner, heard her.
''Gross!'' She screamed one more time and covered her face with her whole body having chills, but every now and then, she peeked through her fingers and had chills every time she noticed that disgusting insect.
She has always hated insects, but after seeing a few kilometers one, it was already a miracle that she didn't pass out right this instant.
She debated whether she should just leave the stream, but it looked so interesting that she didn't dare to miss it!
Looking at the chat, she frowned after seeing very interesting chats.
[*****: Wraith, kill the Orc! You beast of a man!!]
[*****: This is goddamn sick, one more, come on!]
She thought that those chat was quite weird because she was almost certain after seeing Isaac's face that he was a girl, but then she saw a few chats which told his true gender!
She had to look back and forth between stream and chat, still couldn't believe it!
Her heart almost exploded into nervousness after seeing the Orc swinging his massive mace, almost beheading Isaac with a single strike, but he managed to dodge with a nicely timed jump.
The chat was as nervous as her, and once they saw him surviving another attack, the relief couldn't be described with words.
Her palms became sweaty as she flinched every time the Orc attacked, but the white-haired youth still managed to fight in equal standings, even managing to push the Orc back with the thin blade of the Musket Rifle.
It was a battle of titans.
''Anna, dinner is ready!'' Anna heard her mother yelling from the kitchen.
''One moment, mom!'' She shouted back and once against concentrated on the screen, her nose almost touching it.
...
*BANG!*
Isaac squeezed the trigger and instantly took a large leap backwards; he used the recoil of the firing to increase the length of his jump.
The bullet, which left the barrel, struck the wooden mace and got stuck inside, not managing to pierce through!
''Krrrrhhh...'' The Orc growled menacingly and put the wooden mace above his head before smashing it down!
Isaac once again had to jump back, the previous spot where he was got destroyed by the powerful attack.
Even the solid armor of the Centipede was smashed in the process.
But, only the outer layer of the armor was broken, while there was a much thicker layer of armory below.
*BAM!*
The Orc jumped and instantly swung his wooden mace one more time.
Isaac instantly aimed at the incoming mace and squeezed the trigger.
*BANG!*
The bullet struck the incoming mace and deflected it away!
The Orc was in an awkward position with his muscular arm stretched behind him and his hand barely managing to have a hold of the wooden mace.
Isaac saw this as a change and fired one more time.
*BANG!*
The recoil pushed his shoulder back by an inch, making his posture a mess, and that's why his aim wasn't perfect.
*SPURT!*
The bullet pierced through the Orc's shoulder, making it gush with blood, but Isaac wanted to finish him off but failed in doing so.
He rubbed his painful shoulder and saw a bruise forming. He had overused his gun, and the result was self-injury.
His body isn't that strong to deal with the recoil, and he has used the Musket Rifle only a couple of days, and he needs much more time to get used to it.
The Orc looked like he was hyperventilating with his flesh tissue popping out from the wound he received only a second away. The green blood was pouring down, making his previous light green skin darker.
[HP: 76/320]
With a single strike to the shoulder, he lost most of his HP.
While Isaac's HP was looking worse.
[HP: 42/415 - Lizard Scale Armor Effect!]
He tried to move his shoulder around but didn't manage to. It felt like there was an invisible wall when he tried to move his shoulder around, and the pinching sensation always returned.
He tried to see if he could still hold the Musket Rifle and fire with it. He aimed it towards the Orc, who instantly put his wooden mace as protection.
Isaac nodded after seeing that he could still aim, but he decided to check the chamber and how many bullets were left, but he already knew how much, but he wanted to make sure.
In the chamber, one bullet with a golden lining was seen.
''One bullet...'' He looked at his bruised shoulder and was sure that he couldn't keep fighting after the next shot.
His shoulder was already near cripple; after the next shot, he would be lucky if he can keep carrying the Musket Rifle, let alone shoot!
One bullet to decide it all. It isn't farfetched by saying that the next bullet will be the most important one he has ever fired!
