Chapter 109 - Baba Yaga's Weakness.
''So, how many are there?'' Darth asked after finally calming his heartbeat.
''Fourteen,'' Isaac replied and unfolded the map to take a closer look at where the children could be hidden.
''That's a lot.'' Darth scratched his head and felt like failing this test would make him traumatized.
Isaac put the map down on the floor and looked closely. The map had a portion missing, which was caused by Isaac forcefully removing the paper from the printer, but if he didn't do that, he would have gotten caught.
He didn't deem that portion valuable because it only shows the parking lot and the lounge area.
Darth sat down on the ground and looked at the map as well. He wasn't as knowledgeable about the outline of a hospital, but he could help Isaac at finding rooms with enough capacity to hold over dozen children.
After going through the blueprints of the hospital, they both noticed that there was something amiss.
The hospital has only three floors and a rooftop, but the blueprints have four floors and a rooftop...
The missing floor was even below the lounge area, which means...
''They are in the underground,'' Darth said, and Isaac nodded.
Isaac looked around the map and saw the stairway going straight down to the underground.
''Hmm... The stairs are the easiest way, but it's risky.'' Isaac crossed his arms and started thinking; while Darth was still looking at the map, he had a hunch that they missed something.
So far, he wasn't much help, and Isaac has done most of the work. At first, he thought he was supposed to do the heavy lifting because he is higher level, but in the end, the Duo Dungeon was something that didn't fit him; instead, it was almost tailor-made for Isaac.
Now, he has a feeling in his gut that they missed something, and he was sure that it would be something that would change the battlefield in their favor.
His gaze lingered on the third floor, and soon his vision saw the area around the door with [Exit] sign...
Behind the door was another stairway, which leads all the way to the first floor, where the lounge was located, but...
At the bottom of the stairs was a symbol of child hiding...
Darth's eyes widened as he finally found something helpful, ''Wraith, look!''
Isaac flinched and saw where Darth's finger was pointing. He narrowed his eyes, which soon widened in shock.
''Symbol of a child hiding... That's it!'' Isaac exclaimed, ''Good job, now I might know what Baba Yaga's weakness is!''
''Hmm?'' Darth felt proud of finally being helpful, but he has a hunch that Isaac found something even more amazing.
Isaac folded the map and started walking towards the edge of the roof.
''Where are you going?'' Darth asked while patting the dust from his pants.
''Come,'' Isaac said and stopped at the end of the roof, his two legs only inch away from falling from the roof.
Darth walked next to him with confusion filling his face, but after he saw the scene below them... He widened his eyes in realization.
They were looking down on the parking lot but on the ground... There was a large painting of a child hiding.
''That's her weakness.'' Isaac said and then remembered seeing the same symbol in the Chief Doctor's office, ''It is time to go finish this test.''
Darth nodded and took a final glance at the child hiding. The initial fear on his face disappeared, and he didn't even need his newly found skill, Fear Disperse, to help with it.
He pushed the fear away and left the roof with Isaac.
After reaching the third floor, they nodded at each other and walked in opposite directions.
Darth went to the door with the [Exit] sign, and Isaac went to the Chief Doctor's office.
Darth opened the door and looked towards Isaac, who had already entered the Chief Doctor's room.
He looked at the flickering light above him and clenched his fist in hopes of dispelling his surfacing fear.
There weren't any signs of Baba Yaga yet, but that might not be the case soon.
In the Chief Doctor's room.
Isaac went straight towards the cabinet with a symbol of child hiding.
The door of the cabinet had obvious signs of scratching marks like someone was desperately trying to open it but to no avail.
He put his hand on the knob and tried to open it, but it was locked.
''Of course...'' He clicked his tongue and went towards the wooden desk. He rummaged through the wooden desk's cabinets but only found useless papers and fliers.
He had cold sweat pouring on his back as he knew that time was running out.
Isaac wanted to slam the cabinets shut, but that would be the last mistake he would do. In the end, he closed them softly and looked at the cabinet with the symbol of a child hiding.
He debated whether he should use his gun to smash the door into pieces and grab whatever was inside and start running.
But... He doubts that he can run away from the Mythological Figure.
With frustration, he started walking back and forth. It didn't take long for him to find out the only place he hadn't searched yet.
His gaze lingered on the bookshelf with medical books and different kinds of fairytales.
''Fairytales...'' Isaac murmured and walked towards the bookshelf. He ignored the medical books and went straight towards the fairytales section.
He remembered most of the books from his childhood, but there were also a few unfamiliar ones.
His family never read him any scary stories, which made him slightly ignorant about the world, and for some time, he thought that the world was rainbows and rays of sunshine.
They wanted to keep his innocence as long as possible, but with his brilliant mind, he found out that the world was much different than he thought at first.
He found out that jealousy and greediness are a dangerous combination, which he was unlucky enough to witness personally.
After he was done reminiscing. He saw something in the middle of the fairytales section.
It was a book in the color of red and a figure of a monstrous-looking woman walking past a desk, with a fearful child hiding behind it.
He grabbed the book and saw the test on the cover.
