White Dragon Lord

Chapter 455: The Detonated Star Realm

  • Next Chapter

As they charged, the massive host of Titans manifested and hurled their Spears of the Titans. The multicolored weapons converged into a river, unfurling across the pitch-black Star Realm like a brilliantly colored ribbon of light—beautiful and deadly.

The Dragon Race was well prepared for their old rivals' signature attack. Chants in the ancient dragon language rose from their ranks, and swirling black holes opened ahead of the dragon army, swallowing the incoming Spears of the Titans.

Seeing the Spears of the Titans fail, the Titan commanders ordered a portion of their forces to halt and lay down a steady barrage, while the rest flanked from the sides. The Titans had superior numbers and were brimming with confidence in their victory.

Though the dragons were outnumbered, their rear base lay directly behind them, supplying a steady stream of reinforcements. Unfazed, they dispatched a detachment to meet the Titans in close combat.

Dragon breath illuminated the Star Realm. Clashing magic blasted the surrounding floating boulders into the distance or shattered them outright, sending fragments shooting in all directions. Some combatants even seized the suspended rocks to hurl at their enemies.

On a battlefield composed entirely of Legendary-tier combatants, even High-Tier Legends could fall if they were careless. The lives of ordinary dragons and Titans carried absolutely no guarantees.

Both sides fought in a blood-crazed frenzy. Titan and dragon blood sprayed across the Star Realm, their corpses blasted away by the shockwaves of magical explosions, drifting like the floating boulders.

Reinforcements continually joined the Dragon Race, and the Titan Race matched them. The scale of the battle expanded relentlessly until, gradually, a massive swath of the Star Realm was detonated by the war.

Led by the Dragon Brother and the Dragon Sisters, the Dragon Legion also threw themselves into the fray.

Willy wore the armor gifted by his older brother. The defensive power of his scales was absurdly strong, unbreakable by anything short of Abomination Rank powerhouses or spatial magic. This was further bolstered by his Warrior class level and superb combat skills.

These stacked advantages allowed Willy to carve a bloody path through the Titan ranks. He utilized a dragon's natural weapons—claws and tail—to their absolute limit. With every swipe of his claws, a Titan's throat was ripped open.

Felicia continually cast enhancement magic and divine shields on Willy, making him even more unbridled and fearless.

Elena also escorted Willy and protected his flanks; the death power of the Withered Vine Druids reaped one Titan life after another.

With Willy acting as the vanguard, the Dragon Legion thrust like a blade deep into the enemy's ranks, churning up a storm in the center of the battlefield.

However, the sheer number of participating dragons and Titans was simply too vast, with no shortage of formidable powerhouses. Since both sides were highly trained armies, the Dragon Brother, the Dragon Sisters, and the Dragon Legion could seize a local advantage, but they could not directly dictate the overall outcome of the battle.

Dragons and Titans slaughtered each other in the void. Magic clashed against magic, and the fangs and claws of the dragons met the superb martial skills of the Titans. Casualties on both sides continued to mount.

In the distance, a radiant golden holy light illuminated the endless darkness and cascaded over the Dragon Race on the battlefield.

A Healing Wave jumped across thousands of dragons, mending their wounds and soothing their pain. The morale of the dragon army surged.

An Abomination Rank dragon had made its move!

A group of dragons radiating pure holy light appeared in the distant Star Realm. The dragon at the very front measured over fifty meters in length—it was the patriarch of the Holy Light Dragon Clan.

Answering the call of the Platinum Dragon God, a legendary dragon species—the Holy Light Dragon Clan—had entered the war. They became the first legendary dragon species to join the massive conflict between the dragons and the Titans.

Legendary dragon species possessed far weaker reproductive capabilities than the Chromatic Dragons. The entire Holy Light Dragon Clan numbered only about a hundred members, but upon reaching adulthood, they immediately became High-Tier Legend powerhouses. Outstanding individuals like their patriarch were even Abomination Rank powerhouses.

The addition of the Holy Light Dragons elevated the dragon army's healing capabilities to an entirely new tier. Brilliant holy light brightened the endless dark. Bathed in this luminescence, the dragons fought with growing frenzy, fearlessly trading injuries, while the Titans became hesitant and constrained.

On the Titan side, the Titan heavyweights who had been monitoring the battlefield finally played their trump card as well.

A group of Life Titans teleported into the rear of the Titan camp. Radiating the aura of life, their emerald-green life energy healed the wounds of the Titan Race and revitalized their morale.

The matriarch of the Life Titans locked eyes with the patriarch of the Holy Light Dragons in the distance. Much like the White Dragon Clan and the Frost Titans, the healing-specialized Holy Light Dragon Clan and the Life Titans were old rivals.

More and more legendary dragon species and upper-tier Titans joined the fray. The Star Realm battlefield was thoroughly ignited. Surging tides of elemental energy rippled in all directions, and hidden Star Realm cities in the distance braced themselves as if facing a great enemy, terrified of becoming innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.

Some of these cities even began evacuating. The true powerhouses of the Dragon Race and the Titan Race had not yet fully revealed themselves, but the battle's peripheral impact was already this catastrophic. If they didn't flee now, it would be too late.

Within the dark Star Realm, the fiercely battling dragons and Titans lost all sense of time. The fighting grew increasingly brutal. Instances of combatants self-destructing to take their enemies down with them, their corpses left locked in a desperate embrace, became more and more frequent.

At some unknown point, the Platinum Dragon God, the Five-Headed Dragon Queen, and the Gem Dragon King appeared in the Star Realm. Staring back at the three great dragon sovereigns from afar were the three Titan heavyweights: the Luminous Titan, the Dark Titan, and the Star Titan.

Surrounding these six powerhouses was a cluster of Abomination Rank dragons and Titans.

On the dragon side stood Blue Diamond Dragons with scales ranging from translucent aqua to deep blue, Plutonium Dragons that closely resembled black dragons, and even four Time Dragons bearing gray scales and clock-hand pupils...

Legendary dragon species also had their own tiers of strength. Holy Light Dragons reached the Demigod Realm upon adulthood, whereas species like the Blue Diamond Dragons, Plutonium Dragons, and Time Dragons stepped straight into the Abomination Rank the moment they matured.

Their numbers were even scarcer than those of ordinary legendary dragon species. Across the entire multiverse, the total population of each of these dragon species didn't even exceed ten. Yet at this very moment, more than half of the multiverse's Abomination Rank dragons were gathered right here.

The Titan side featured Ghost Titans with translucent forms, Granite Titans with spotted bodies...

Ghost Titans were creatures of pure soul. They directly attacked the soul, making them one of the most terrifying assassin races in the multiverse. The Granite Titans, meanwhile, were a mighty Titan species fully capable of rivaling the Blue Diamond Dragons.

The Titan Race's lineup was in no way inferior to the Dragon Race's.

The first to act were the Plutonium Dragons. Irritable and bursting with pride, they usually stayed scattered across the multiverse. Destroying worlds and killing weaker deities was just another day's work for them. Their immense power meant they didn't even take the dragon gods seriously; they joined the war between the dragons and Titans simply because they wanted to beat up the Titans.

The Plutonium Dragons lit up with blistering white light. Their Nuclear Radiation Force Field expanded in all directions. It was an innate domain similar to the red dragons' incinerating domain, but infinitely more terrifying. This was nuclear radiation capable of directly destroying microscopic molecular units—a force not even the Divine Kingdoms of deities could block.

Of course, given the massive scale of the battlefield, the Plutonium Dragons flew higher up, avoiding the main frontline to prevent accidentally injuring their allies.

Still, several dragons and Titans accidentally wandered into the radiation zone. Against nuclear radiation that could pierce Divine Kingdom defenses, the natural defenses of Legendary Rank dragons and Titans were as fragile as paper. Blisters bubbled on the surfaces of their bodies, and mutated tumors grew wildly within them.

They unleashed heart-rending wails. Holy light and life energy did absolutely nothing to ease their agony, let alone heal their injuries.

A certain Time Dragon seemed quite resigned upon seeing this. It stared at the injured dragons, the clock hands within its pupils spinning rapidly.

Time Reversal!

Mysterious temporal energy acted upon the dragons. The wounds on the injured dragons recovered at a visible rate until they were completely healed.

The healed dragons were amazed to discover that not only were their wounds gone, but their depleted magic and stamina were also fully replenished. It was exactly as if time had wound back to before they had even joined the battle.

This was no illusion. For the restored dragons, their time had truly been turned back to before the battle.

It was precisely because of this absurd temporal energy that Time Dragons were even harder to kill than deities. Even entities possessing Greater Divine Power were unwilling to provoke them.

Naturally, temporal energy was not omnipotent. When used on the caster itself, the energy consumption was minimal, but when applied to other entities, the cost skyrocketed.

Restoring several Legendary Rank dragons naturally required zero effort for an Abomination Rank Time Dragon. However, if they wanted to restore a being at the Dragon King level, multiple Time Dragons would need to join forces to even make it possible, and they would pay a catastrophic price for it.

The Plutonium Dragons' opening move shattered the last veneer of restraint. The three great Dragon Kings and the three Titan heavyweights, leading their respective Abomination Rank powerhouses, clashed together. They sought out their own opponents and engaged in brutal, life-and-death struggles.

Tiamat singled out the Dark Titan. Her five multicolored dragon heads spewed five different dragon breaths. Wherever the red head's blazing breath passed, space itself shattered. The blue head's lightning breath tore through the darkness. The green head's toxic fire breath carried a sweet, sickly scent. The black head's corrosive breath could dissolve even divine power. And the white head's frost breath matched the power of the White Dragon Lord.

Yet Tiamat's opponent, the Dark Titan Astraeus, showed absolutely no fear. Endless dark energy wrapped around him, pitch-black like ink, hiding his movements and concealing whatever skill he was preparing...

The massive melee among the Abomination Rank powerhouses shattered space, leaving tears that refused to mend for a long time. The frenzied shockwaves swept outward, turning everything they touched to dust.

In the distance, a Star Realm city disintegrated under the energy tides spawned by the battle. Along with the colossal stone foundation beneath it, the city was reduced to cosmic dust.

An evil god who had hidden his Divine Kingdom in the Star Realm almost coughed up blood. Unfortunately, his realm sat on the very edge of the shockwaves, making him an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. To prevent further losses, he could only curse his luck and expend a massive amount of divine power to relocate his Divine Kingdom.

The White Dragon Lord's clone was also on this Abomination Rank battlefield. However, since his clone was an Abomination Rank spellcaster but its dragon level had not yet advanced to the Ancient Giant Dragon Stage, he stationed himself in the rear—a relatively safe position. From there, he used ice magic to support his allies and strike at the enemy.

In this chaotic brawl among over a hundred Abomination Rank powerhouses, the clone was completely inconspicuous, yet incredibly valuable. It served as the White Dragon Lord's eyes to observe the battlefield.

On the other side, far away in Nordhill, the White Dragon Lord's main body watched the war through his clone's eyes. His primary focus lay on the powerhouses among the upper-tier Titans, whose opponents were draconic heavyweights like the Time Dragons, Plutonium Dragons, and Blue Diamond Dragons.

Invisible and unseen, a Ghost Titan revealed its form from the void. Its barely outlined Soul Claw swept toward a Time Dragon—silent and trackless, yet concealing lethal peril.

The clock hands in the Time Dragon's pupils spun madly. Mysterious temporal energy veiled its body, rendering its physical form hazy and ethereal.

The Ghost Titan's strike passed right through the Time Dragon without dealing a single point of damage. Instead, the Titan was tainted by temporal energy, instantly locking it in the Time Dragon's sights.

The Plutonium Dragons radiated blistering white light, turning wherever they flew into desolate no-man's-lands. No one dared brave their terrifying nuclear radiation. However, there was one exception among the Titans: the Granite Titans.

In terms of pure defense, aside from the peerless three great Dragon Kings, not a single dragon could compare to the Granite Titans. They casually strolled through the nuclear radiation as if taking a walk in the park. This thoroughly pissed off the Plutonium Dragons.

A Plutonium Dragon inhaled, rearing its head back before snapping it violently forward. A blinding white beam of light erupted from its throat. The Nuclear Fission Breath blasted toward the Granite Titan, crossing the distance in a fraction of a second.

Facing the strongest dragon breath—a blast potent enough to punch through a material plane—the Granite Titan didn't dare be careless. A thick wall of granite rose to shield its front. The ultimate spear crashed into the ultimate shield, and scorching white light flared across the entire battlefield.

...

The White Dragon Lord observed one epic duel after another, gathering intelligence and making assessments.

In all honesty, his overall combat power was roughly on par with the Time Dragons and Plutonium Dragons. If not for the Floating City, he would have no right to act as the trump card meant to deter the Titans.

However, as the Dragon Race's final trump card, the White Dragon Lord noticed that the Titan side didn't seem to have fielded any powerhouses specifically prepared to counter him. Of course, he wasn't foolish enough to believe the Titan Race was completely defenseless against him.

Clearly, just like the dragons, these Titans had hidden their trump card away. And this trump card was undoubtedly an entity capable of threatening him.

What could it be?

The White Dragon Lord tapped his dragon claws lightly against the table. The unknown was always the most terrifying, as it was impossible to prepare targeted countermeasures in advance.

If he could just figure out what trump card the Titans had prepared, things would be much easier to handle.

With this thought in mind, the White Dragon Lord notified the New God of Fishmen, Feixi Darkscale.

Souls flowed through the River Styx into the Underworld, ultimately entering the Kingdom of the God of Death. But the souls within the River Styx could be intercepted; many devils and demons built their fortunes solely by stealing them.

However, if the God of Death caught wind of such thievery, the consequences would be unimaginable. The God of Death was one of the most mysterious and ancient deities in the multiverse. His existence could even be traced back to the era when nature-system deities still reigned.

For all these years, anyone who offended the God of Death had suffered a miserable end.

But a crime that wasn't discovered wasn't a crime. As an entity with the Rogue class, Feixi Darkscale was undeniably the most suitable candidate for stealing souls.

He wouldn't dare touch an Abomination Rank soul, but snatching the soul of a High-Tier Legend Titan was worth a shot. Perhaps he could find some clues hidden within its memories.

Upon receiving the White Dragon Lord's message, Feixi Darkscale mobilized.

Even for a deity, the River Styx was a perilous place. But since this concerned the White Dragon Lord's life and the ultimate victory in the war between the dragons and Titans, he was willing to take the risk.

Within the vast River Styx, a boundless tide of souls struggled and wailed in the waters. Shrouded in shadow, Feixi Darkscale hid on the banks of the River Styx, his eyes fixed on the souls flashing past in the current.

The River Styx flowed incredibly fast. To sift through an infinite sea of souls to find a freshly fallen High-Tier Legend Titan—all while evading the God of Death's subordinate, the Ferryman of the River Styx—required not just immense strength, but a healthy dose of luck as well.
