White Dragon Lord

Chapter 434: The Crazy God-Creation Project!

  • Next Chapter

The White Dragon Lord carefully traced the energy's direction. Finding that the breakthrough had occurred in the murloc capital of White Scale City, he immediately knew who it was. He sent a message to the imperial prime minister.

"Gurgalu, go stand guard. Bring him here when it's done."

"As you wish."

Magical fluctuations of a teleportation spell pulsed from the prime minister's estate in Oqi City. The White Dragon Lord gently tapped his desk, his thoughts racing.

An utterly insane but highly feasible plan was brewing in his mind. It was...

—the God-Creation Project!

The White Dragon Lord mentally mapped out the God of the Fishmen's connections. The God of the Fishmen, Biruskoda, belonged to the Ocean Pantheon. The Chief Deity of the Ocean Pantheon was the Ocean Goddess, a chaotic neutral deity with Greater Divine Power.

The Ocean Goddess was infamous for her volatile temperament—she was powerful and capricious. Her believers were primarily coastal fishermen and marine races, along with a fraction of the merchants and sailors engaged in maritime trade.

As for the God of the Fishmen's enemies, his presence in the multiverse was so faint that the White Dragon Lord didn't even know if he had any.

'Should I establish a connection with the Ocean Pantheon or not...'

The White Dragon Lord calculated the pros and cons.

Half a day later, Gurgalu teleported into the White Dragon Lord's grand hall, bringing along the newly advanced High-Tier Legend: Feixi Darkscale.

The White Dragon Lord gazed at the murloc kneeling on the floor. Shadow energy gathered around his black scales. He was a Fishman Nightstalker, the rogue class of the murlocs.

Feixi Darkscale was among the very first batch of murlocs to follow the White Dragon Lord. He had merely been a child back then. Because he was so young, he had grown up under the new education system. Later, he made significant contributions during the Sea Giant incident, drawing the attention of White Castle's upper echelons.

For a long time after that, Feixi Darkscale served as Bucky Darkscale's right-hand man. The White Dragon Lord eventually dispatched him to the New Fishman Cultivation Base, where he became a key figure in the birth of the New Murlocs.

Following Old Blind-eye's passing, the White Dragon Lord weighed the relationship between the old and New Murlocs and had Feixi Darkscale take over the chieftain position. Now, the student had surpassed the master—he had stepped into the High-Tier Legend realm one step ahead of Bucky Darkscale.

The White Dragon Lord signaled for Gurgalu to withdraw, leaving Feixi Darkscale alone in the spacious hall.

"Sit." Following the White Dragon Lord's will, ice elements coalesced into a chair within the hall.

Feixi Darkscale sat, awaiting his master's instructions.

"Feixi Darkscale, you have truly given me a pleasant surprise."

"Your Majesty, I didn't expect it either. I woke up this morning, felt the catalyst for a breakthrough, and crossed the threshold. I owe all of this to Your Majesty's guidance," Feixi Darkscale said, his face glowing with joy.

Due to the innate physical limitations of murlocs, even a legendary practitioner was incredibly rare, let alone a High-Tier Legend. As far as he knew, he was the first High-Tier Legend murloc in the history of Nordhill.

Of course, he was no longer a pureblood murloc. The White Dragon Lord had long since taken him as a thrall, transforming him into a dragon-blooded murloc. This was a crucial reason for his breakthrough. Otherwise, with a murloc's pitiful natural lifespan, he wouldn't have even reached the Master Tier.

"Feixi, do you desire eternity?"

The sudden question left Feixi Darkscale dumbfounded. Eternity was exclusive to Abomination Rank powerhouses, and he was just a murloc who had barely stepped into High-Tier Legend.

He swallowed hard. "Your Majesty, you..."

"You just need to tell me if you want it." The White Dragon Lord stared at his thrall, his brilliant golden dragon eyes exerting immense pressure.

"I do!" Feixi Darkscale's tone was unwavering. "There isn't a moment I don't long to go further! I love this land! I love this glorious empire I fight for! I want to protect this nation forever!"

Feixi Darkscale raised his head, looking straight at the White Dragon Lord with fanatical eyes. "And to protect you! My master!"

The White Dragon Lord raised an eyebrow, retracting his scrutinizing gaze. "Very good! I will now give you a chance to step into eternity!"

"Feixi Darkscale! Become the god of the New Murlocs!" The White Dragon Lord's deep voice held endless madness and eager excitement. "You cultivated the very first batch of New Murlocs! You are the most suitable candidate to be the New God of Fishmen!"

"I will have the empire cooperate with you to cultivate believers among the New Murlocs, helping you ignite your divine fire and raise your divine throne! However..."

The White Dragon Lord looked coolly at the thrilled murloc. "Becoming a god is merely the beginning of your troubles. Do you have the confidence to face them?"

"My understanding of deities is extremely limited. Please enlighten me, Master."

"The Gods are divided into many factions. The God of the Fishmen belongs to the Ocean Pantheon. Once you become the New God of Fishmen, a portion of murlocs will inevitably become your believers. At the very least, the empire's murlocs will worship you. As a result, you will clash with the God of the Fishmen. You will be in direct conflict with him."

The White Dragon Lord recalled the intelligence on the God of the Fishmen. Biruskoda was a chaotic neutral deity with Faint Divine Power. Although he had little presence in the multiverse, he was an ancient god. Even a pig that lived for a million years would become a formidable spirit, let alone a genuine deity.

"You might not be a match for the God of the Fishmen at all. However, my biggest worry isn't him, but the Ocean Goddess's attitude. Her stance will determine whether you join the Ocean Pantheon or find another path."

Feixi Darkscale lowered his head in thought. "Is there a difference?"

"The difference lies in whether you'll ever have the chance to replace Biruskoda and become the shared god of both the old and New Murlocs. If you join another pantheon, no Chief Deity will start a war with the Ocean Pantheon just for you, meaning you could only ever be the New God of Fishmen. But if you join the Ocean Pantheon, your competition with Biruskoda becomes an internal rivalry, giving you the possibility to advance further."

"Whichever pantheon Master wishes me to join, I will join."

The White Dragon Lord laughed. "We haven't even taken the first step yet. Don't worry about all that for now. Ascending to godhood isn't a simple matter. We will take it slowly."

"First, you must fully adapt to the power of a High-Tier Legend. Then we can begin the next phase. You will cultivate believers and establish an ascension oath. Through that oath, your divine portfolio will be determined..."

Ascending to godhood required several conditions:

First, the ascendant must be faithless. If they were already a believer in another deity, how could they become a god themselves?

Feixi Darkscale met the condition of being faithless because his faith lay with the White Dragon Lord, and the White Dragon Lord was not a deity.

Second, the ascendant must possess a certain number of believers.

This was incredibly difficult for others—perhaps the hardest step of all. Because all intelligent life in the multiverse had already been divided among The Gods, the only way to gain believers was to steal them from other deities. The vast majority of those attempting ascension failed at this hurdle.

However, with the White Dragon Lord backing him, securing believers would be easy for Feixi Darkscale. He also didn't have to worry about attacks from the God of the Fishmen.

Finally, the ascendant must have a clear divine portfolio. Feixi Darkscale's portfolio would be the New God of Fishmen. He needed to use his ascension oath to commune with the source sea, ignite his divine fire, coalesce his divine spark, and ultimately establish a Divine Kingdom to become an eternal true god.

As long as Feixi Darkscale didn't falter, this step wouldn't be a major issue either.

"You still have a long way to go to become a true god. You just broke through to High-Tier Legend, so head down first and familiarize yourself with your new strength."

The White Dragon Lord sent the prospective New God of Fishmen away. Then, he teleported to Sky City, arriving at Merlin Heavenly Principle's office.

"Speaker, I have a matter to discuss with you."

"Speak. What is it?"

"I plan to emulate the Elf Dynasty from thirteen thousand years ago and assist one of my thralls in taking a seat in the Pantheon."

Merlin Heavenly Principle looked at the White Dragon Lord in surprise, but quickly figured it out, a look of sudden realization washing over his face.

"That thrall of yours must be the one who just broke through to High-Tier Legend, right? And he's a murloc. The planned portfolio must be the New God of Fishmen. Am I correct?"

"Spot on!"

The emergence of the New God of Fishmen was practically set in stone. Merlin Heavenly Principle would have to be out of his mind not to support it.

"I also hope Nordhill can gain another deity. The Council will fully support your actions. Hmm... the Council is willing to provide five portions of divinity. Additionally, I will personally sponsor two more portions of divinity."

The White Dragon Lord nodded. "I thank you on his behalf, Speaker. He will forever remember your kindness."

Merlin Heavenly Principle felt extremely satisfied. Wasn't offering two portions of divinity just an early investment, after all?

However, the White Dragon Lord's main purpose for this trip wasn't divinity. It was to seek advice from Merlin Heavenly Principle. After all, Merlin Heavenly Principle had lived for over ten thousand years and understood the affairs of deities much better than the White Dragon Lord did.

"Speaker, I'm somewhat worried about the Ocean Goddess's attitude. The God of the Fishmen is her subordinate god, after all."

"There is no need to worry. The Ocean Goddess operates on the principle that the useless should be eliminated. As long as your thrall is willing to join the Ocean Pantheon, that entity won't interfere. She might even be happy to see a new subordinate god weed out the trash."

Merlin Heavenly Principle smiled. "Furthermore, with our help, are you still worried your thrall won't be able to overpower that incompetent God of the Fishmen?"

'That is true!'

The White Dragon Lord suddenly understood. Although the Nordhill Guardian Council wasn't a pantheon, it was quite similar to one. It possessed multiple divine powerhouses and a massive weapon of destruction like Sky City.

Moreover, the White Dragon Lord had the backing of the Winter Legion. Dealing with a God of the Fishmen who only possessed Faint Divine Power was practically bullying—no, bullying a god.

The White Dragon Lord set his worries aside, though one could never be too careful when it came to ascending to godhood.

"Speaker, does the God of the Fishmen have any enemies?"

"You might have to ask Goddess Sophia about that, because I'm not sure myself."

Calling a deity was very simple; one only needed to speak her name.

"Goddess of flowers of the Elves—Goddess Sophia, I wish to ask you something."

Sophia's avatar descended upon an elven believer in Sky City and came to Merlin Heavenly Principle's office. After learning of the White Dragon Lord's question, she provided the answer: the God of the Fishmen did indeed have a mortal enemy—the God of Turtles.

After asking for a bit more intel, the White Dragon Lord returned to the White Tower. He pondered the issue of divinity.

The minimum threshold of divinity required to ascend was ten portions. The Council provided five, Merlin Heavenly Principle sponsored two. For the remaining three, the White Dragon Lord had to figure out a solution himself.

If one wanted divinity, the simplest method was to steal it. The second was to create it.

To create divinity, one first had to find a faithless legendary powerhouse who wanted to ascend, help that legendary powerhouse gain a certain number of believers, and then wait several decades or a century. After that, they might harvest a single portion of divinity.

However, this method consumed immense time and effort, and was prone to complications. The White Dragon Lord felt it would be much more convenient to just snatch it directly.

As for who to rob, there were no creatures more suitable than Demons. In their process of invading various realms, Demons might encounter false gods possessing divinity, such as indigenous totem gods on islands. Thus, there were quite a few High-Tier Legend Demons out there possessing divinity.

Furthermore, Demons were despised by everyone. Killing them wouldn't cause any trouble. Slaying enough of them would even raise his prestige. If the Demon happened to have a bounty on its head, he could make a small profit too.

The White Dragon Lord teleported to the City of Naxxramas on the Blood War Battlefield and sought out Engru Ghostwolf. He needed some insider information.

"Hello, Lord Engru." Knowing the old orc's personality, the White Dragon Lord cut straight to the chase. "I want to get some intelligence. Information regarding Demons that possess divinity."

The White Dragon Lord wanted to hunt Demons, which was a good thing for the Avengers Alliance. Engru naturally wouldn't refuse.

The old orc brought over a document. "See for yourself."

The White Dragon Lord picked up the document from the desk and began to read through it on his own. This document was a compiled summary gathered by the alliance regarding Demons possessing divinity.

Because ordinary Legendary Demons couldn't hold onto divinity, the Demons on the list were all High-Tier Legend Demons. They were either local overlords of a certain layer of the Abyss, or capable subordinates of some Abyssal lord.

The White Dragon Lord looked at the first page of the document, which recorded a Demon's information.

Name: Chakmonas the Greedy.

Strength: High-Tier Legend

Profile: The Greedy is a trusted subordinate of the Gluttony Lord. It possesses an unknown amount of divinity, frequently appears in the Harvest Wilderness, and its common attack methods are...

Bounty: 800,000 points.

The White Dragon Lord glanced at the Demon's portrait. It was a disgusting Demon that looked like a slug.

'So ugly!'

The White Dragon Lord turned to the second page:

Name: Tatamue the Brain-Eating Maggot

Strength: High-Tier Legend

Profile: Tatamue the Brain-Eating Maggot is a mysterious Demon with erratic whereabouts. It once killed the alliance's High-Tier Legend powerhouse, Heart of the Arcane. Before dying, Heart of the Arcane transmitted a message stating that the opponent possessed divinity...

Bounty: 1,000,000 points.

The White Dragon Lord turned to the third page...

Over the next half hour, the White Dragon Lord memorized the contents of the document and selected suitable targets in his mind.

Ultimately, he chose the overlord Demon of the seventeenth layer of the Abyss, the Frigid Domain: the Cold Nest Broodmother, as his first target.

The Cold Nest Broodmother was a lord-type High-Tier Legend Demon. Her location was easy to find, and she didn't have much of a background. Furthermore, the Cold Nest Broodmother was incredibly ugly—a complete eyesore. Therefore, the White Dragon Lord decided to rid the multiverse of this cancer.
