White Dragon Lord
Chapter 385: The Gathered Dragons
Recognizing the newcomer, the White Dragon Lord felt a surge of surprise.
Why is he here?
The White Dragon Lord exited the Floating Tower and flew down to meet the Flame of the Molten Mountain. Meanwhile, red dragons poured endlessly from the portal behind the massive red dragon. Just as the White Dragon Lord touched down, Willy charged out of the gateway as well.
"Lord McIntosh, what brings you here?"
"Cut the crap—"
Catching sight of the colossal Floating Tower hovering overhead, the Flame of the Molten Mountain suddenly decided the world was a beautiful place. Most of his hostility vanished.
"First, tell me where the Titans are, especially the one called Madahak, Lord of the Red Lotus! I'm going to butcher him!"
The White Dragon Lord was speechless.
"Lord McIntosh, don't say I didn't warn you. The Lord of the Red Lotus you want to kill is accompanied by another High-Tier Legend, a Floating Tower, and dozens of Legendary Rank Titans. On top of that, you would have to break through the outer Magic Tower Defense System."
The Flame of the Molten Mountain's face was a picture of bewilderment."Isn't this a Small Material Plane?! Why is there all this ridiculous garbage here!"
"The Muxinge Plane is indeed a Small Material Plane, but it's occupied by High-Tier Legendary Titans from a medium-sized Titan world. And one of them is the Lord of the Red Lotus you want to butcher..."
As the White Dragon Lord briefly explained the situation, the Flame of the Molten Mountain seethed.
Damn it! That wretched Jetesla actually dared to mislead me!
When the Silver Dragon Scholar mentioned that the White Dragon Lord had killed over a dozen Titans, the Flame of the Molten Mountain assumed the Muxinge Plane was just a small Titan gathering place he could crush at will. He never expected it to be a Small Material Plane firmly occupied by a Titan faction.
There was a world of difference in strength between a small plane where Titans happened to gather and a fully-fledged Titan faction capable of conquering other planes.
Under the White Dragon Lord's scrutinizing gaze, the Flame of the Molten Mountain wished he could find a hole to crawl into.
"Lord McIntosh, you still haven't told me why you are here."
"Ahem... that's a complicated story. I'll explain it later. Who is the other Titan?"
Seeing the Flame of the Molten Mountain act so evasive, the White Dragon Lord understood the impulsive, prideful red dragon had been tricked. He decided not to rub salt in the wound.
"The other is a Thunder Titan—Sindona, Mother of Lightning."
"The Mother of Lightning?!"
A gasp rang out from the flock of red dragons behind the Flame of the Molten Mountain. All eyes converged on the one who had cried out.
"Vimina, you've heard of this Titan?"
Faced with the Flame of the Molten Mountain's question, the young female dragon, who had just entered the Adult stage, nodded.
"Yes. I saw her name on Her Majesty the Dragon Queen's Bounty Roster. Let me find it."
With that, the young dragon pulled out a small booklet.
"Found it. Here."
The Flame of the Molten Mountain took the booklet and flipped it open.
"My Lord, you're holding it upside down."
"Don't you think I know I'm holding it upside down!"
Thwack!
A large bump swelled on the head of the red dragon who had so kindly reminded him. The Flame of the Molten Mountain retracted his fist and quietly turned the booklet right side up.
He flipped through the pages for a moment, paused, and then handed the book to the White Dragon Lord, falling deep into thought.
The White Dragon Lord took the booklet. Glancing at the cover, he noticed that the only difference between this Bounty Roster and the Bounty Roster of Sinful Dragons of the Heavens was the title.
That Tiamat really is lazy.
Grumbling inwardly, the White Dragon Lord opened the table of contents and rapidly skimmed a long string of names.
Good heavens! More than half of them are Titans!
He located the entry for Sindona, Mother of Lightning, and flipped to the corresponding page.
Name: Sindona, Mother of Lightning.
Race: Thunder Titan.
Strength: Demigod Realm.
Current Plane: Sincaro Titan World. Planar Coordinates: (783146, 55885, 2699238).
Crimes: Massacring the dragon race of the Sendepark Plane. A total of 132 innocent dragons brutally murdered...
Intelligence: The target possesses a Floating Tower and commands numerous minions. She once fought against two High-Tier Legendary Dragons simultaneously... The target is extremely dangerous. It is recommended that multiple Ancient Dragons form a team to seek an opportunity to strike.
Bounty: 1.8 million Evil Dragon Value.
The White Dragon Lord's eyes lit up. The bounty for the Mother of Lightning alone was enough to meet the requirements for Felicia's advancement. But claiming this reward would not be easy. Equipped with a Floating Tower, the Mother of Lightning would be even harder to deal with than the Lord of the Red Lotus.
"Shudrasa, go to the Yano Plane and visit the Matron of Venom. Invite her in my name to the Muxinge Plane to deal with the Titans."
"Bograshu, go to Astral Tarot City and visit the Black King. Tell him his chance to curry favor with Her Majesty the Dragon Queen has arrived."
The White Dragon Lord was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected the Flame of the Molten Mountain to know dragon powerhouses from other planes.
"Vimina, go to the Evil Scale Fortress and spread the news about the Mother of Lightning. I imagine we aren't the only ones interested in her. What do you think, Lord Amos?"
Thoughts flashed like lightning through the White Dragon Lord's mind, and he made his decision in an instant. He would join forces with the Flame of the Molten Mountain against the Titans and open the White Tower to receive the Dragon Race from other planes.
"Spread the teleportation coordinates of the White Tower as well. I will keep it open for three days."
The White Dragon Lord and the Flame of the Molten Mountain exchanged a glance. Faced with their mortal enemies, the Titans, the two forged a temporary alliance.
"You can also use the White Tower's Teleportation Platform to reach your destinations."
Naturally, the three young red dragons chosen as messengers wouldn't reject the shortcut.
The White Dragon Lord led the three red dragons into the White Tower's Teleportation Chamber. After sending them off, he immediately switched the Teleportation Platform to shared mode. In this mode, anyone who knew the platform's coordinates could teleport to the White Tower.
"Tower Spirit, connect to the Raven Council."
The blurry projection of Grimos Raven appeared before the White Dragon Lord.
"Lord Grimos, an unexpected situation has arisen on my end... We are planning to hunt the Mother of Lightning. Will you join us?"
Grimos Raven tactfully declined the proposal; the Raven Council had no interests at stake in this operation. The refusal was entirely within the White Dragon Lord's expectations.
"Willy, continue organizing the army's evacuation. Ordinary troops won't be able to intervene in the upcoming battle. Only those with Legendary Rank combat power are to stay behind."
"Understood!"
The flock of red dragons rested on the island. Beside them, the interrupted evacuation efforts resumed.
As the subordinates retreated, dragons occasionally arrived at the White Tower via the Teleportation Platform. This proved Vimina's outreach was working, though the arrivals were only ordinary Legendary Dragons.
For the safety of the property inside the White Tower, the White Dragon Lord directed all these dragons to settle on the island.
When the bright moon hung high in the sky, the very last subordinate vanished into the Portal, and the White Dragon Lord packed away the costly gateway.
Suddenly, the White Dragon Lord sensed a wave of energy fluctuating from the Teleportation Platform. An imposing blue dragon appeared on the platform.
"Who is the master of this place?!"
The White Dragon Lord teleported in front of the blue dragon, noticing that the newcomer was merely an Adult Dragon of the Legendary Rank. He couldn't be called strong, but he wasn't exactly weak, either.
As the blue dragon sized up the White Dragon Lord, his sheer size and the oppressive aura of a High-Tier Legend made his power undeniable.
"I am the master of this place. The White Dragon—Amos Aldrich."
Strange, why does he share the same race and name as the entity presiding over Blackrock Fortress?
Despite his inner doubts, the oppressive might of a High-Tier Legend couldn't be faked. The blue dragon displayed the humility owed to a powerhouse.
"Lord Amos, I have come under the orders of the King of the Thunder Prison to gather some information from you. First, I need intelligence regarding the Titans..."
Once the blue dragon finished speaking, the White Dragon Lord understood his purpose. This blue dragon was a subordinate of the High-Tier Legendary blue dragon from the Abyss—the King of the Thunder Prison—sent ahead to scout the way for his boss.
The White Dragon Lord directly brought out several Titan corpses. From the bloodstains and other traces, the blue dragon deduced that these Titans had been dead for no more than three days. This proved the reality of the Titans' presence in the Muxinge Plane.
After some further conversation, the blue dragon returned to the Abyss via the Teleportation Platform.
The White Dragon Lord let out a breath. This blue dragon was merely a scout. Now that it was confirmed this wasn't a trap or a prank, the King of the Thunder Prison backing him was highly likely to rush to the Muxinge Plane in person.
With every additional High-Tier Legendary Dragon that joined their ranks, the Dragon Race's odds of victory increased. They might even be able to wipe out all the Titans in the Muxinge Plane.
Just as the White Dragon Lord was lost in thought, another wave of magical energy rippled from the Teleportation Platform. Soon after, an aura of decay permeated the air, smelling like the stench of rotting leaves in a swamp. It was the scent of a black dragon.
The White Dragon Lord looked toward the Teleportation Platform and saw a red dragon standing alongside a gloomy old man in a black robe. The old man was gaunt, resembling a skin-and-bones skeleton. His sparse, shoulder-length, grayish-white hair couldn't cover his gleaming scalp.
Although the red dragon was far larger, the White Dragon Lord's attention was entirely captivated by the old man. This was because the elder was a High-Tier Legendary Level black dragon in human form, and his life was nearing its absolute end.
The Black King—Atwood!
The White Dragon Lord recalled the Black King as introduced by the Flame of the Molten Mountain. The Black King resided in the astral city—Tarot City. He was an Ancient black dragon whose life was nearing its end, which meant the Black King—Atwood had lived for nearly 100,000 years!
"Welcome to the White Tower! Emperor of the swamps and the underground!"
The White Dragon Lord stepped forward to greet the Black King as he descended from the Teleportation Platform.
It was almost certain that among all the gathered High-Tier Legendary Dragons, the Black King would be the one with the least regard for his own life.
This was because the Black King had barely any lifespan left and held no hope of breaking through to the Ancient Giant Dragon stage. In this world where deities existed, the death of the flesh was not the end. The Black King's goal was to drag a sufficiently weighty Titan down with him, so that he would receive extra rewards from the Five-Headed Dragon Queen upon entering her Divine Kingdom.
The Black King's arrival seemed to act as a signal. Once again, magical fluctuations rippled from the Teleportation Platform. This time, it carried the aura of a forest, tinged with a sickly-sweet metallic scent. This was the scent of a green dragon.
A woman wearing an emerald-green court dress appeared on the platform, gently fanning herself with an exquisite paper fan. Beyond the sweet, coppery scent of the forest, the White Dragon Lord could also feel a rich aura of divine power radiating from her.
She—or rather, the dragon before him—was the Matron of Venom from the Yano Plane, Gelina. The Matron of Venom's overall power had reached the High-Tier Legendary Rank. Her strength was composed of two parts: a prime-aged green dragon, and a Level 23 priestess.
The Matron of Venom was the highest-level priestess of the Dragon Queen that the White Dragon Lord had encountered so far. She was also incredibly famous; even the White Dragon Lord had heard of her many titles: the Matron of Venom, the Emerald Nightmare, the Model Mother of the Dragon Race...
The 'Model Mother of the Dragon Race' was not a compliment from Gelina's children, nor was it the Matron of Venom's self-praise; it was an official recognition from the Five-Headed Dragon Queen herself.
This was primarily because Gelina bred like a pig. She had once laid a clutch of eight dragon eggs in a single nest—an absolute miracle for dragons, given their notoriously low reproductive rates. It had even alarmed the Five-Headed Dragon Queen in the Evil Scale Fortress, prompting her to descend as a divine projection to bestow a blessing. This was the main reason the White Dragon Lord knew of her.
Looking like a noblewoman of the court, the Matron of Venom strode toward the White Dragon Lord with an elegant, cat-like gait.
"May Her Majesty the Dragon Queen watch over you, powerhouse of the White Dragon Clan—Lord Amos Aldrich."
"May your scales forever shine, Lady Gelina."
The Matron of Venom, Gelina, covered her bright red lips with her paper fan, her eyes crinkled in amusement.
"It seems we already know of each other. Then, Lord Amos, please arrange accommodations for me and my children."
As she spoke, the Matron of Venom swept her gaze over the luxurious interior of the White Tower. Seeing the obvious gouge marks where things had been pried from the walls, her eyes crinkled in amusement.
"Rest assured, my children and I are not like those backwater dragons who have never seen the world. Hmm... we share similar troubles."
The White Dragon Lord gave a helpless shrug.
"Very well, respected lady."
During the pause in their conversation, green dragons continuously poured out of the Teleportation Platform. These were the Matron of Venom's children. Upon seeing the magical gems decorating the White Tower's interior, the green dragons marveled in awe, but none of them made any impolite moves.
Many of the dragons from the Abyss who arrived earlier had been swiftly picked up and thrown out by the White Dragon Lord the moment they tried to pry the gems off the walls.
"Heloise, arrange some rooms for this lady and her children."
The Moon Elf banshee steward emerged from the wall and led away the Matron of Venom and her forty-two green dragons.
Watching the massive flock of green dragons file past was a breathtaking sight. Off to the side, Willy couldn't help but mutter under his breath.
"Tch! She sure can fucking breed!"
Not long after the green dragons departed, another magical fluctuation rippled from the Teleportation Platform. An exceptionally colossal blue dragon appeared on the platform, bringing thirteen Adult blue dragons with him, including the scout from earlier. Silver arcs of electricity danced across their gleaming scales.
The King of the Thunder Prison!
The King of the Thunder Prison was a blue dragon living in the Evil Scale Fortress, and one of the most active High-Tier Legendary blue dragons in the multiverse. The White Dragon Lord had only heard his name and had never met him.
"Welcome, monarch of thunder."
Stepping down from the Teleportation Platform, the King of the Thunder Prison sized up the White Dragon Lord, his gaze gradually turning solemn.
"The creator of the Frozen Land, the destroyer of three Demon cities... you certainly live up to your reputation."
The White Dragon Lord wasn't surprised that the King of the Thunder Prison recognized his identity.
Although the White Dragon Lord's true body hadn't spent much time on the Blood War Battlefield, his experiences there had been quite legendary. Furthermore, since the White Dragon Lord had made no effort to conceal his identity, it would have been stranger if a local Abyssal heavyweight like the King of the Thunder Prison hadn't recognized him.
Suddenly, another wave of magical energy swept from the Teleportation Platform.
