White Dragon Lord
Chapter 375: The Primary School Dragons Let Out Early
Thoughts raced through the White Dragon Lord's mind. In terms of fairness, both distribution methods were roughly equal, though the second offered more of a challenge.
"Life always needs a few challenges to stay interesting, wouldn't you agree?"
"It seems Lord Amos has made his choice."
"But there is still one question. How will war merits be calculated?"
"You need not worry about that, Lord Amos. The number of enemies slain, the number of enemy powerhouses defeated, the total land occupied, and the value of discovered resources will all serve as reference metrics for evaluation. Everything is based on the principle of greater reward for greater effort."
Grimos Raven handed over a stack of documents, which the White Dragon Lord took and quickly scanned.
"It seems the Raven Council is fully prepared. I agree to this proposal."
With the White Dragon Lord's agreement, the leaders of the two major factions signed a Divine Contract, finalizing their joint invasion of the Muxinge Plane. The White Dragon Lord successfully obtained the necessary intel, including the plane's spatial coordinates.
Having secured this critical intelligence, the White Dragon Lord returned to the White Castle to prepare for the expedition. According to the agreement between the two leaders, they would launch a simultaneous assault on the Muxinge Plane in exactly twelve days.
Inside the great hall of the White Castle, the White Dragon Lord summoned his most trusted subordinates. Gathered before him were the kingdom's prince, Willy Aldrich; the kingdom's guardian, the Ancient Gold Dragon; the gnoll grand commander, Hogg Riverclaw; and the prime minister, Hobbes Scott..."Everyone, the situation on the Blood War Battlefield won't see any major shifts in the short term. We will seize this opportunity to take down the Muxinge Plane. The natives of this plane are humans, but they are not our enemies. Our true enemies are the Titans."
The White Dragon Lord swept his gaze across the hall. At the mention of their mortal enemies, the Titans, Willy and the Ancient Gold Dragon immediately radiated a thick, murderous aura. His other subordinates were eagerly rubbing their hands together, aching for a fight. The White Dragon Lord nodded in satisfaction.
"A Titan known as the Lord of Red Lotus and his subordinates have occupied the Muxinge Plane. All we have to do is butcher them and take their heads!"
"Roar! Roar! Roar!"
The naturally warlike monsters threw their heads back and unleashed wild roars. Hearing the White Dragon Lord's declaration of war, the legendary ogre warrior, Grull Skull Crusher, felt his blood boil and violently thumped his massive chest.
"The Skull Crusher Clan will crush their heads! We will seize victory for Your Majesty! Roar!"
"Hmm..."
The White Dragon Lord remembered the Skull Crusher Clan's tradition of pulverizing their enemies' heads, dead or alive. If they managed to hunt down a Titan, the ogres would likely smash it into nothingness with a single swing of a Spiked Club, leaving no head behind to claim.
"The loyalty of the Skull Crusher Clan brings me great comfort, but you won't need to take the battlefield this time."
"Your Majesty..."
Grull Skull Crusher's face fell instantly. He was about to argue when the White Dragon Lord cut him off.
"There is an even more important task waiting for the warriors of the Skull Crusher Clan. The Blood War Battlefield may be temporarily stable, but Triumph Plaza still requires my most trusted elite army to stand guard at all times. No clan is better suited for this arduous duty than yours."
"The Skull Crusher Clan will give it our all!"
Grull Skull Crusher flushed bright red, his thick neck bulging with sheer excitement. He practically roared his response to the White Dragon Lord.
Having placated the Skull Crusher Clan, the White Dragon Lord turned to Hogg Riverclaw.
Originally, Hogg Riverclaw had merely been the chieftain of a small gnoll clan on a medium-sized island, constantly fighting wild beasts for living space. That was until he encountered the White Dragon Lord and proactively chose to submit.
Due to his initiative and fearless fighting spirit, Hogg Riverclaw won the White Dragon Lord's favor and was appointed as the gnoll grand commander.
As the White Dragon Lord's territory expanded, the number of gnolls under Hogg's command swelled. Now, he held the prestigious title of grand commander over nearly ten million gnolls within the Yafiavi Kingdom.
In terms of personal strength, the gnoll who had once wrestled wild beasts for survival in the woods had matured into a mighty Level 22 Legendary Warrior.
Seeing the White Dragon Lord's gaze shift his way, Hogg subconsciously straightened his posture. A gentle breeze ruffled the gnoll's brown fur, revealing a crisscrossing network of scars beneath. These were the marks of countless campaigns, and Hogg's medals of honor.
Unlike Gurgalu, who was a rare two-headed ogre, Hogg was just an ordinary gnoll. To reach his current heights, he had relied entirely on his own hard work and fearless tenacity.
"Hogg, you will serve as the army's commander-in-chief once again."
"I will not fail you!"
The gnoll hammered his clenched fist against his heart, producing a heavy, muffled thud.
The White Dragon Lord felt perfectly at ease entrusting his forces to this fiercely loyal gnoll who had followed him all this time.
"Hobbes! Within ten days, I expect all war supplies to be fully prepared!"
The prime minister, Hobbes Scott, bowed deeply.
"Your wish is my command."
"..."
The complex preliminary preparations for the planar war were broken down by the White Dragon Lord into smaller tasks and distributed among his subordinates. Once the task assignments concluded, the subordinates scattered to carry out their duties, while the White Dragon Lord, the Ancient Gold Dragon, and Willy strolled into the palace gardens.
The sunlight was perfect in the warmth of spring, and vibrant blossoms weighed down the branches in the royal gardens. Bees buzzed busily among the colorful petals, only to be startled by the passing behemoths and scattered into the distance.
"Senior Adelaide, I am a bit concerned about this operation."
In the presence of his brother and the Ancient Gold Dragon—two beings of equal standing—the White Dragon Lord openly shared his anxieties.
"My true body took away the White Castle's most elite troops, and the reserve forces stationed around Triumph Plaza cannot be moved. If we rely solely on our current subordinates to face the Titan army, I fear our casualties will be severe. I was hoping you could lead the dragons of the Madilan World to hold the line."
The Sincaro Titan World was different from the Nordhill Plane. It was a world ruled by the Titans. As the overlord race of their native plane, the mortality rate of Titan infants was bound to be far lower than that of young dragons in Nordhill.
Accumulating generation after generation, the number of Titans in the Sincaro Titan World was bound to vastly outnumber the Dragon Race in Nordhill. To make matters worse, the Titans also commanded legions of giants.
Facing such an opponent, the White Dragon Lord's concerns were completely justified. The Ancient Gold Dragon nodded.
"Even if you hadn't brought it up, I would have volunteered. The dragons of the Madilan World have enjoyed the White Castle's protection all these years without rendering any merits in return. Now that we are facing the Titan Race, it's time to drag them out for some practice!"
"Brother, I have a suggestion!"
The White Dragon Lord and the Ancient Gold Dragon turned to look at Willy.
"Hand command of the Madilan World dragons over to me. Senior Adelaide can serve as the public supreme commander. As for you, Brother—you shouldn't show yourself at first. You can act as our trump card and give the Titans a surprise. What do you think, Senior?"
"It's always good to prepare a little surprise. I approve."
The White Dragon Lord nodded in agreement as well.
After a brief chat, the White Dragon Lord detailed the intelligence on the Sincaro Titan World for the two dragons.
"From the intelligence we've gathered so far, the Sincaro Titan World only has two High-Tier Legend Titans. The Muxinge Plane we are about to invade belongs to one of them, the Lord of Red Lotus. This Lord of Red Lotus is a brutal fellow."
"The Lord of Red Lotus has stationed an army in the Muxinge Plane known as the Hand of Blood. The Hand of Blood consists of forty Titans and five thousand giants. This army has only two tasks: first, to guard the Portal leading to the Sincaro Titan World, and second, to suppress the Resistance Army in the Muxinge Plane."
"A Resistance Army?!"
Willy asked curiously, "Haven't the Titans completely subjugated the Muxinge Plane?"
"The territory of the Muxinge Plane is under Titan control, but the hearts of the people are not."
The White Dragon Lord began to recount the intelligence shared by the Raven Council.
"With absolute power, the Lord of Red Lotus destroyed the Loran Dynasty, which had ruled the Muxinge Plane for thousands of years. He used blood and violence to drive the plane's natives into grueling, high-intensity labor. Most of the natives gradually grew numb under the Titans' high-pressure rule, but a small fraction rose up in resistance. Led by survivors of the Loran Dynasty, they formed the Resistance Army."
"Due to the disparity in strength, the Resistance Army hasn't been able to inflict any substantial damage on the Titans. They can only carry out minor sabotage in the shadows."
"The Raven Council learned the intelligence about the Hand of Blood by making contact with the Resistance Army. Furthermore, both sides have already reached an agreement to drive out the Titans and restore the Loran Dynasty. The White Castle has no conflict of interest with the Resistance Army; on the contrary, we share a common enemy. They can also become a source of support for us."
"By the way, the leader of this Resistance Army is a Legendary Rank Warrior named Dumahado. If the opportunity arises, we should try to win him over to our side."
Willy nodded.
"A pitiable yet respectable fellow."
A native legend from a backward plane was inherently weaker in combat experience and technique compared to a legendary powerhouse from a powerful plane. Not to mention, his opponents were the Titan Race, renowned throughout the multiverse.
In Willy's view, the fact that this Legendary Rank Warrior named Dumahado was still alive was a miracle in itself, let alone that he could lead a group of ordinary people to cause trouble for the Titans. Therefore, Dumahado was absolutely a genius.
However, no matter how much of a genius Dumahado was, and no matter how hard he tried, his efforts were merely futile in the face of the Titans' absolute strength. But things were different now. They had finally waited for the dawn of hope, successfully establishing contact with Nordhill's Raven Council.
Although the Raven Council was also helping the Muxinge Plane from the perspective of profit, no matter how poorly the Raven Council treated their own kind, it would never be as bad as the Titans.
The White Dragon Lord recalled the intelligence obtained from the Raven Council. One sentence described the current situation of the Muxinge Plane natives ruled by the Titans: to work at sunrise and rest at moonset.
Hearing the White Dragon Lord describe the tragic state of the Muxinge Plane natives, Willy sighed with some emotion.
"The Titans are simply treating the native humans of the Muxinge Plane like livestock. No wonder they still choose to resist despite such a massive disparity in strength."
The Ancient Gold Dragon nodded in agreement.
"It seems you sympathize with them," the White Dragon Lord said. "Very well. The White Castle needs to send a representative to travel alongside the Raven Council to the Muxinge Plane and make contact with the Resistance Army led by Dumahado to prepare for the attack in twelve days. I happened to be lacking a suitable candidate, so it will be you, Willy."
"Glad to be of service!"
Willy agreed readily.
"When does the Raven Council depart?"
"In three days."
"Hmm... there's still plenty of time. Why don't we all go take a look at Ten Thousand Dragon Island together? Brother, Senior, what do you say?"
"Alright, I haven't seen those children in a long time either."
Naturally, the White Dragon Lord would not spoil the other two dragons' mood. One gold and two white, the three massive dragons flapped their wings and flew toward the rear of Kumlinge.
Flying all the way over lush primeval forests, snow-capped mountains, and a fertile plain, the three dragons entered the waters around Ten Thousand Dragon Island and plunged headfirst into the sea.
Following a specific route, the three dragons passed through the illusions protecting Ten Thousand Dragon Island and leaped out of the water. Greeting their eyes was a solitary peak towering into the clouds. Giant dragons of various colors flew around the peak, their roars rising and falling in succession.
Gazing at Dragon Peak, which looked like bees swarming around a hive, the White Dragon Lord felt proud. Through decades of continuous effort, the White Dragon Lord had brought in numerous dragon hatchlings from all over Nordhill. Now, the number of giant dragons on Ten Thousand Dragon Island had already reached over three thousand, taking a massive stride toward the goal of "ten thousand dragons."
The three dragons flapped their wings and flew toward the Dragon Beast Academy at the top of Dragon Peak. As the number of giant dragons greatly increased, the original grounds of the Dragon Beast Academy were no longer sufficient. The academy had expanded downward along the mountain, forming stepped terraces that resembled a pyramid.
On these pyramid-like tiers, giant dragon instructors from the Madilan World were teaching knowledge to dragon beasts and Very Young Dragons. Examinations were even underway on some of the grounds.
Seeing the three dragons flying over, the Dragon Beast Academy was thrown into a sensation. A group of half-grown giant dragons craned their necks to look in their direction, chattering endlessly.
"Look! That's our teachers' teacher, the Gold Dragon—Lord Adelaide Leslie! Lord Adelaide is so huge!"
A little gold dragon looked at the Ancient Gold Dragon in envy. Forming a square with the thumbs and index fingers of its two dragon claws, it used newly learned geometry to measure the Ancient Gold Dragon's body length.
"He's at least thirty-two meters long!"
A half-grown white dragon introduced the visitors' identities to the newly arrived little dragon beside it.
"The two white dragons beside Lord Adelaide are Prince Willy and our respected Majesty, Amos."
"Wrong!"
The juvenile red dragon beside the half-grown white dragon was currently measuring the White Dragon Lord's body length with geometry. Hearing the half-grown white dragon's introduction, it voiced its denial.
"When His Majesty Amos visited last time, I measured him. He was approaching thirty meters. This white dragon is only about twenty-five meters long. How could His Majesty Amos possibly get shorter?"
"But he looks exactly like Lord Amos!"
"..."
The Dragon Beast Academy's principal, Soglamo, heard the commotion from indoors and flew out, just in time to meet the three approaching dragons.
"Principal Soglamo, please notify all dragons in the youth stage and any dragon beasts with Master Tier strength to attend a gathering. There is an important matter to announce."
The numerous students watched as the academy principal murmured with the three dragons for a while, after which the principal flew back.
"Classes are dismissed for the day! Students below the Master Tier can go back and rest!"
Amplified by magic, the voice echoed across the entire mountain peak. The peak instantly fell silent, followed by deafening cheers that shook the leaves in the primeval forest below Dragon Peak.
Watching the little dragons looking as happy as primary schoolers let out early, the White Dragon Lord couldn't help but smile.
After the little dragons happily flew away, the numerous giant dragons with strength at or above the Master Tier arrived at the top of Dragon Peak and sat down neatly before the four dragons.
The White Dragon Lord did a quick count. Not counting the giant dragon instructors from the Madilan World, there were five hundred giant dragons with Master Tier strength. Most of them were in the youth stage, while there were also over a hundred matured dragon beasts.
Turning waste into treasure—this was the power of education!
There were three giant dragons with Legendary Rank strength. Two were the heavyweights of the Madilan World giant dragons—one gold and one red. The other was the principal of the Dragon Beast Academy beside the White Dragon Lord: Soglamo.
With the strong support of the White Castle, Soglamo, who had congenital defects, advanced into a Legendary Mage as he wished, gaining a much longer lifespan.
"You are all likely very confused!"
