Li Ya and his disciple stayed at the Wushi Dao Field for only one month. During this month, Gu An and Li Ya traveled mountains and rivers, occasionally discussing the Dao, just like when they were young.

Li Ya’s main reason for visiting Gu An was to express his gratitude, but until the very moment of parting, he still couldn't bring himself to say the word "thanks."

Spending a month of leisure with Li Ya made Gu An feel very relaxed. After Li Ya left, he even held a lecture for all the disciples, letting them realize just how important Li Ya was in Gu An’s heart.

Peaceful days continued. After reaching the peak of the Profound Qi Hunyuan Immortal Realm, Gu An felt that even having a lifespan of a trillion years might not be enough to guarantee the next breakthrough, so he began to work on increasing his annual lifespan income.

Now that his Dao Field covered the entire Nine Spirits Continent, it was incredibly easy to expand the amount of medicinal herbs. With the Ephemeral Blossom Ghost Mother helping, Gu An barely had to worry about anything and could simply enjoy the results.

After a thousand years, his yearly lifespan income had increased to two hundred million years.

Another million years passed by.

Inside the Heavenly Spirit Great World, similar but slightly different battles kept playing out. But overall, the world remained peaceful. Even sect conflicts didn’t spread to affect the common people.

Compared to the relative peace of the Heavenly Spirit Great World, the Three Thousand Great Worlds had completely entered an era of divine descent.

In every Great World, several Immortal Gods descended, controlling winds and rain, bringing peace and blessings to the lands. As a result, the Heavenly Dao fortune enveloping each world grew even stronger.

The Immortal Gods under the two Heavenly Sons began making moves. They not only roped in the rulers of each world but also led the masses to worship them. At the same time, they portrayed the opposing Heavenly Son and Immortal Gods as embodiments of evil, painting the coming Heavenly Sons' battle as an apocalyptic disaster — a righteous war against evil.

Gu An stayed within the Heavenly Spirit Great World, watching the actions of these Immortal Gods, feeling that the so-called Heavenly Court was nothing impressive.

The Heavenly Court was only strong enough. Its order and behavior didn’t deserve the title of Immortal Gods.

But the gap between Immortal Gods and mortal beings was vast. Mortals couldn’t see through their manipulations. An Immortal God’s casual words could become a legend passed down for a thousand or even ten thousand years. It was almost impossible for mortals to realize that these myths were all part of a conspiracy. Over generations, the entire Three Thousand Great Worlds were split into two hostile camps.

At Wushi Dao Field, just past noon.

Two figures fell from the sky, landing on two neighboring mountain peaks. They were the Blood Prison Saint and Sin.

Gu An and An Xin stood by the mountain stream, looking up at them. They had just flown out from the barrier that Gu An had set up, and the outcome of their battle had already been decided.

Sin was no match for the Blood Prison Saint, but he had managed to injure him, which greatly surprised the Blood Prison Saint.

"You brat..."

The Blood Prison Saint widened his eyes, staring at Sin across the mountains, unable to calm his heart.

Now, although Sin still appeared as a teenager, he already carried the bearing of an Eternal Emperor. His posture was tall and proud, his face full of rebellious smiles, brimming with spirit.

"Blood Prison Saint, the gap between us has shrunk again!"

Sin spoke out loudly, his voice echoing through heaven and earth.

The Blood Prison Saint scowled and said, "Brat, if you want to beat me, you need more training. I wasn't even serious just now."

"Really? I don't believe it. I think you were already getting anxious."

"Hmph, that's just my fighting style!"

The two started bickering again, neither willing to back down.

By the riverside, Gu An and An Xin watched them argue, both smiling.

"Little junior brother’s talent is truly terrifying. He seems even stronger than Tianhao and Tianhong Emperors. Master, just where did he come from?"

An Xin asked curiously. Sin had always been trained by Gu An, so others thought it was natural for Sin to progress fast. But she was different. She too was taught by Gu An and knew just how incredible Sin really was.

This kid wasn’t just improving in cultivation. Inside him, a Great Dao was already starting to take shape, and it was getting stronger every moment. An Xin could even feel a terrifying sense of karma from him, one that made her shiver. Even using her Immortal Emperor Eyes, she couldn’t see through it.

"He comes from the Desolation Tomb, a place beyond the Great Dao..."

Gu An briefly explained Sin’s origins. He valued An Xin greatly, and since she wanted to know, he naturally wouldn't refuse.

An Xin was his successor. One day, she would become the Master of Wushi, while he would roam the heavens freely.

An Xin didn’t show much change in her expression after hearing this, but in her heart, she felt sorry for Sin’s past.

Although Master didn’t clearly explain Sin’s true identity, she didn’t press further.

Sin looked young, but having stayed in the Desolation Tomb for so long, the lonely years he endured were unimaginable.

Since Sin had lived so long, his current rapid growth was understandable. Maybe he had been accumulating strength over endless years and was only now unleashing it all.

Their conversation wasn’t heard by the Blood Prison Saint and Sin. By the time those two flew down, Gu An and An Xin had already stopped talking.

"Master, do you think he got anxious just now?" Sin asked as he came up to Gu An, frowning.

Gu An reached out to ruffle his hair and smiled, "Winning is winning, losing is losing. No need to mind how much effort the opponent used. Work hard, and one day, you’ll beat him."

Hearing this, Sin felt it made sense. He grinned and stopped dwelling on it.

The Blood Prison Saint, however, looked very unhappy. He really didn’t want to lose.

But since it was Gu An who said it, he didn’t dare argue and could only stay silent, sulking.

"Sin'er, you're now already a Free Immortal, strong enough to stand on your own. Want to go out and temper yourself?" Gu An looked at Sin and smiled.

An Xin felt that Master truly doted on Sin, maybe even more than on her.

This kid’s background was definitely not simple.

The more she looked at him, the more she thought Sin’s features resembled Master's.

Although she had such suspicions, she didn’t dare to speak them aloud. If Sin really was Master’s son, and yet had been trapped in the Desolation Tomb for so many years, then it meant that in the past, even Master had encountered something terrifying — terrifying enough that he couldn't protect even his own child.

Gu An heard An Xin’s thoughts and found it funny.

She actually guessed right.

"I want to! Can I really?" Sin excitedly nodded.

Gu An looked over at the Blood Prison Saint and said, "You take him out for a thousand years of training. No matter what he does, don't stop him. Just follow him. Let him experience things and make his own judgments."

"Me?"

The Blood Prison Saint's eyes widened in protest.

Seeing him reluctant, Sin immediately said, "Master, let’s have him take me!"

The Blood Prison Saint gritted his teeth. This little brat was becoming more and more annoying.

"You two can go."

Gu An shook his head, smiling, then turned and left.

An Xin glanced meaningfully at the Blood Prison Saint and said, "This isn’t just a test for little junior brother. Maybe it’s also a test for you."

A test?

The Blood Prison Saint’s spirit lifted at once. He loved Master’s tests. Completing them always meant rewards.

The last time he ventured onto the Path of the Great Dao, he gained so much — not just friendships and brothers, but he even became the first Hunyuan Dao Emperor in Wushi Dao Field besides Master himself.

An Xin turned and followed after Gu An.

After the two of them disappeared into the forest, the Blood Prison Saint looked at Sin with a mischievous grin and said, "Brat, once we’re out there, I might not stop you, but every single thing you do, I’ll report back to Master!"
