When I Achieved Sainthood, the Immortal Official Actually Called Me to Raise Horses!
Chapter 667: Taiwei Divine Court
Gu An did not look at Deep Sea Dragon Koi and continued picking medicinal herbs.
His mind, however, was filled with deep emotions.
As his disciples spent more time in arduous cultivation, ambition had begun to take root in their hearts.
This was natural. Cultivation itself was the pursuit of a goal.
Gu An would never restrict his disciples for life.
With the promise he had just given to Deep Sea Dragon Koi, his fate had already begun to change. In the distant future, he would unify the oceanic demon clans of the Heavenly Spirit Great World. He would even transform into a dragon, establish a Dragon Palace, and ignite an unprecedented war against the cultivation world of the mainland—an epoch-defining battle.
Gu An foresaw all of this but did not consider it a bad thing.
Such conflicts were chosen by the heavens and earth themselves. If it were not Deep Sea Dragon Koi, someone else would have taken on the role. He could not judge every conflict as inherently evil.
It was worth noting that when that great calamity arrived, Deep Sea Dragon Koi would face one of Wushi’s disciples, though neither would recognize the other.
Deep Sea Dragon Koi was unaware that Gu An was gazing into his future. He simply followed behind his master, step by step, voicing the doubts he had encountered in cultivation. Gu An patiently answered them one by one.
Gu An’s investment in Deep Sea Dragon Koi’s growth was no less than that of his disciples in Wushi Dao Field. After all, Deep Sea Dragon Koi had been diligently tending to the medicinal gardens of the Submerged Spirit Palace. His contributions were significant.
Deep Sea Dragon Koi had reached the Wondrous Mystical Spirit Immortal Realm, while the lowest among the disciples in Wushi Dao Field had also reached the same level. Among them, An Xin and Blood Prison Saint had already broken through the Dao Void Profound Immortal Realm, stepping into the Divine Thought True Immortal Realm.
Although their strength was not yet overwhelming, their progress was rapid, and Gu An was satisfied.
Not everyone could cheat the way he did. No matter how exceptional one’s talent was, it still took endless years to accumulate cultivation.
…
Beneath a vast, magnificent blue sky, a seemingly endless chain of mountains stretched across the horizon. Ancient trees, towering into the heavens, stood even taller than the surrounding peaks. And these massive trees were not rare—there were many of them.
Under one such colossal tree, thousands of cultivators had gathered. Even with so many people in one place, their combined presence barely spanned the width of the tree’s massive trunk.
Among them stood Zhu Xi, once the ruler of the Sacred Court of the Heavenly Spirit Great World, now reborn in a new life. She listened in silence as the person in the front spoke.
“The Divine Court is ruthless. They control the life and death of all beings, dictate the cycle of reincarnation, and divide the lands as they see fit. Those who are banished by the Divine Court must leave Taiwei Great World. But outside Taiwei Great World lies the Dark Forbidden Zone, filled with countless demons and ghosts, lurking in the shadows, waiting to devour the living. We have been imprisoned here, and for us, the only fate that awaits is exile…”
Zhu Xi wore a fitted blue and white Daoist robe, her long hair casually tied back, exuding the aura of a wandering swordswoman.
As she listened, her thoughts drifted, and a bitter smile appeared on her face.
She had originally been traveling in another Great World. After awakening the true essence of her divine soul, she had reached the Profound Origin Free Immortal Realm and even established her own sect. However, because of conflicts between sects, the native forces of that world joined together to suppress her. In the chaos of battle, she had used a forbidden technique to shatter the void, escaping into the currents of the Grand Dao.
When she woke up again, she found herself in Taiwei Great World.
Before she could even begin to explore this new land, a group of cultivators descended from the sky, declaring her an intruder and capturing her immediately. That was how she ended up here.
This small realm was a prison maintained by the Divine Court. Countless beings were imprisoned here, including many whose cultivation levels far surpassed hers.
She had wandered this place aimlessly for a while before someone approached her, asking if she wanted to escape.
Zhu Xi had traveled across countless worlds and knew that destiny had to be seized by one's own hands. She could not sit and wait for death, so she followed along.
The thousands of cultivators around her had a minimum cultivation level of Unrestrained Primordial Immortal Realm, and the speaker’s Dao attainment was unfathomable. It reminded her of the enemies she had faced during her last battle before leaving Heavenly Spirit Great World.
"If Master were here, he might not even be as powerful as this person. Just how terrifying must the Divine Court be if such a powerful cultivator is being suppressed by them?"
Zhu Xi was secretly shocked. And at the thought of her master, a wave of melancholy washed over her.
It had been over 200,000 years since she had last seen him. She could no longer find her way back to Heavenly Spirit Great World. At this point, she even doubted if she would ever return in this lifetime.
Only after leaving did she realize how vast the Grand Dao truly was.
For that very reason, her ambition had grown even greater!
She wanted to restore the Sacred Court, to make it an existence that surpassed the Three Thousand Great Worlds.
But for now, she needed to find a way to escape this place.
The greater the danger, the more she believed that she could encounter an unparalleled opportunity.
This Taiwei Great World must surely hold fortunes beyond imagination.
A voice suddenly reached her ear, startling her:
"Can you guess his cultivation level?"
Zhu Xi turned her head and saw a handsome young man standing beside her. A faint smile played on his lips, contrasting sharply with the grim expressions of those around them.
"How strong is he?" Zhu Xi asked.
The young man smirked and said, "He is an Innate Golden Immortal, a level above Vast Heaven Free Immortal Realm."
Zhu Xi’s pupils contracted sharply.
In her previous world, she had heard legends of Innate Golden Immortals, but she had never expected to meet one in a place like this.
The young man continued, "There are dozens of Innate Golden Immortals in this place. Do you know what realm the Divine Court cultivator who guards this prison has reached?"
Zhu Xi's breath caught. "What realm is he at?"
The young man grinned. "His cultivation is at the Measuring the Heavens Golden Immortal Realm, above Innate Golden Immortal. He commands one hundred Innate Golden Immortals to suppress this place. And within the Divine Court, Measuring the Heavens Golden Immortals are far from the pinnacle."
His words made Zhu Xi’s brows furrow, and a deep sense of despair filled her heart.
With such an overwhelming gap in cultivation, how could she possibly escape?
From any perspective, whatever rebellion this group was planning was doomed to fail.
The young man looked at Zhu Xi, his expression a mix of amusement and intrigue. "I have a way to get you out of here."
Zhu Xi’s expression darkened, and she asked warily, "We don’t even know each other. Why would you help me?"
The young man’s smile deepened. "You carry the karma of the Heavenly Court. It seems you have a connection to one of the immortals of the Heavenly Court."
Zhu Xi’s frown deepened.
"Don’t overthink it," the young man shrugged. "I was already planning to escape. Seeing as you have such karma, I figured I’d bring you along."
His tone was lighthearted, as if breaking out of this inescapable prison was as simple as taking a walk.
Zhu Xi pondered for a moment before deciding to probe further. "My name is Zhu Xi. May I know your name?"
The young man replied casually, "My name is Meng Lang."
Meng Lang?
Such a common name. She had met countless people with the same name in her travels.
She glanced around, then asked in confusion, "Why does it seem like no one else can hear our conversation?"
Meng Lang chuckled. "Of course they can’t. After all, we’re planning an escape. How could I let anyone overhear?"
"How do you plan to do it?" Zhu Xi narrowed her eyes. "Are you also at the Measuring the Heavens Golden Immortal Realm?"
Meng Lang shook his head and laughed. "Measuring the Heavens Golden Immortals are incredibly powerful. I am not one of them."
Zhu Xi pressed further. "Then, are you an Innate Golden Immortal?"
