Ji Xiaosong looked toward the sound and saw a young woman in a blouse and short skirt standing before Lu Youheng, a guilty expression on her face.

She clutched an empty coffee cup in one hand while the other brazenly reached for Lu Youheng’s clothes, attempting to wipe them clean, yet she wasn’t even holding a napkin.

Lu Youheng had his back to Ji Xiaosong, completely blocking her view and preventing her from seeing his expression.

The woman’s flustered state, combined with the sight of Lu Youheng’s tall, straight back, created a scene ripe for speculation, and a strange ripple spread through Ji Xiaosong’s heart.

Eldest Lu, Second Lu, and Third Lu reacted the fastest. Held by their nannies and unable to get down, they opened their mouths and shouted in unison, "Daddy!"

"Mr. Lu, I’m so sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose..." she stammered, her voice trailing off.

Lu Youheng was in no mood to deal with her right now. He strode quickly toward Ji Xiaosong and the children, leaving the woman completely ignored.

"What brings you here to see me today?"

They had been married for so long, and their home was so close, yet Ji Xiaosong had never once come to visit him at work.

"The three boys missed you, so I brought them over. If I hadn’t come, I never would have known you had a little ’sister’ from back home here."

Ji Xiaosong glanced at the young woman in the distance, whose shocked expression upon seeing her and the three children hadn’t yet faded.

Hearing his wife’s words, Lu Youheng immediately understood. Ji Xiaosong had likely misunderstood the scene she had just witnessed.

He hurriedly explained, "She’s an intern Assistant Wu hired. Today is the first time I’ve met her. I swear, nothing happened between us before this."

"Dad, can you call the legal department? It seems this young lady has no intention of letting this matter end amicably."

Lu Youheng dismissed the children and their nannies, then led Ji Xiaosong into the lounge.
