Masuyama left after delivering the news and said he would send a representative to give me the details after he had made the arrangements.
The rest of my girls eventually returned and it seems like Katsuki only went to inform Emilia of what happened to me so the others were completely left in the dark until much later.
Apparently Katsuki only informed them of it after the entire thing was solved which made them all rush back to the inn to demand an explanation from all three of us.
And… To say that they did not take it well was an understatement.
“WHAT?!! SISTER ASTER ALMOST GOT RAPED?!! BY WHO?!!” Odeta roared, her shout quite literally causing the floor to shake.
The other girls were not much better too as Delmare had her sword out as though she was prepared to march out the room to look for the people responsible and gut them. Beside her was Lisa who was caressing a few bottles of her potion while giggling maniacally which was even more worrying.
At first, I thought Minnera didn’t care about this but she had materialised her pistols and was inspecting them carefully like she was making her final checks before getting ready to use it.
I cleared my throat, “Ahem… Girls… Did you not hear the part where I mentioned that it was already dealt with? They didn’t actually succeed in doing that anyway and I even got Hiandoca to step in as well. Additionally, she also said she would also let goddess Nilali know about this and she will definitely want to punish them as well.”
Odeta turned to Katsuki, “What I want to know is why weren’t we informed about this?!”
The other girls also turned to glare at her.
Katsuki wasn’t even phased by their looks and just calmly asked, “What would all of you have done if I told you about this?”
Odeta punched her fists together, “Of course I would have gone to beat them all up and rescue Sister Aster!!”
Delmare also joined in, “Me… Me too! I would have gone to rescue Aster! And cut off the heads of all those who tried to hurt her!”
Lisa chuckled mirthlessly, “Hehe… I would make them die painfully and slowly… Something that would eat them from the inside and there would be nothing they could do about it… Until they begged for death and I would still refuse to grant it to them~”
Surprisingly, Minnera also joined in with her own comment, “For them to even believe they could attempt to sully what is perfection… I would have made art out of them that would be remembered for ages.”
Right… I have a feeling that the art she was talking about most likely involved the rearrangement of body parts or something similar…
Katsuki nodded, “That’s what I thought as well. But if you would just stop to think about it for a moment, what would happen if you stormed into the building and fought your way through to reach Mistress?”
Odeta huffed, “Then Sister Aster will be safe! Obviously!”
Emilia sighed, “You girls do realise that we are no longer in Lehcarouc Kingdom, right? We can no longer just do as we please without expecting to take some accountability for the things we do now. What if they had used the fact that you stormed into the building to label all of you as criminals and then put a bounty on all of you?”
Lisa smirked, “Then we just kill everyone that comes along to try and claim it~ And also kill the one responsible for setting the bounty to begin with~”
“And if it’s the Royal Family of this country themselves?”
Odeta cracked her knuckles, “Then we’ll just storm into their castle and demand that they take that down of course!”
Emilia frowned, “You do realise what you’re suggesting is basically declaring war on this country, right?”
“So? With Sister Aster, we won’t even lose even if it comes to a war!”
Right… She’s referring to my Shadow Guards of course… And I hate to say it but I think that if it really did result in something like that, I don’t think we would lose even if we had to face an entire Kingdom’s army.
That’s assuming they don’t have someone unreasonably strong like Mary who could probably wipe out an entire army on her own of course.
Katsuki turned to narrow her eyes at Odeta, “And what about Mistress? Does she want to be dragged into this? Doing this will result in Mistress not being able to enjoy the sweets that this place has to offer, you realise?”
Ah… Katsuki does have a point. If war actually breaks out, they might completely stop making sweets altogether and if their Kingdom gets overthrown, there’s no guarantee that the people would just go back to making their sweets too.
I mean… That’s not the reason why I don’t want a war to break out but it certainly is an incentive not to…
I turned to look at the other girls and it seems like that point actually made all of them sober up and they calmed down.
Delmare tilted her head at Katsuki, “Is that why you went to Emilia instead?”
She nodded, “I already know that Miss Emilia had control over the prime minister which she just needed to make use of to protect Mistress and even get Mistress the benefit of being recognised as the person who rooted out this corruption. It was a better choice under those circumstances.”
Honestly, I wasn’t even surprised that Katsuki already knew about this… Maybe if I had asked about it earlier in a more direct way, she might have even told me about it.
Well… It’s not a big deal anyway and I didn’t really care that much to begin with.
Emilia swivelled her head towards Katsuki, “Eh?! Wait… You already know about the prime minister?!”
“Of course. Why else did you think I came to look for you?”
“Oh… I thought… I thought you would want me to use Creas to buy Aster out…”
“For such people, I do not even think the promise of Creas is enough to get them to release Mistress, Miss Emilia. They were even prepared to die just to defy her.”
That is true… That stupid captain was even daring me to just kill him at the end…
Oh, by the way, I also found out he had been lying about having a family. That bastard was as single as a single could be. He didn’t even have a girlfriend.
That bastard really tried to make me sympathise with him with a stupid lie.
Katsuki turned back to the other girls, “That’s why I had prioritised the person with the highest chance of resolving this problem the most efficiently and also bringing the least amount of problems to Mistress.”
Emilia grinned, “Oh my, hearing you say it like that makes me really proud~ To think that Katsuki would see me as the most reliable for Boss~”
That seemed to set off the rest of the girls as they all suddenly crowded around Katsuki to voice out their complaints.
“Say that isn’t true, Katsuki! I’m more reliable than her for Sister Aster right?!” Odeta protested, flexing herself to show off her muscles.
Ehehehe… I wanna touch those abs again~
Delmare poked her fingers together hesitatingly, “I… I try my best not to trouble Aster… And I help a lot too! So… So I’m also reliable, right?”
Oh Delmare… You’ve never troubled me at all you know? You should be more confident of yourself!
“Come on Katsuki! When have I ever inconvenienced Aster? I’m always looking for new ways for Aster to have fun!” Lisa boasted.
I think… Out of everyone there, you should be the last one to say anything, Lisa… We’ve almost gotten into trouble so many times just because of your plans… It’s actually a miracle we haven’t actually gotten into trouble yet after how many guys you’ve ’cucked’.
Minnera also chimed in, “Shouldn’t it be obvious that as a fellow Off-Worlder, I would understand Aster the best? What’s more, I am closest to asking the Gods for assistance amongst all of us, isn’t it?”
Geez Minnera… Weren’t you the one who was saying that your goddess wouldn’t even talk to you normally when I first asked you about it? I guess there’s no need to pretend anymore since I’ve already met her goddess.
Emilia grinned, “Oh just give up, Katsuki gave me her stamp of approval which means I win~”
The four of them turned to glare at the Nekomata who looked really smug about it.
Then as though on cue, all of them immediately turned to look at me at the same time.
“Aster!! Tell us!! Who do you think is the most reliable?! It’s me, right?!” Lisa cried out.
“No! Isn’t it me, Sister Aster?!”
“Wh… What about me, Aster?”
“Of course it’s me, right, Boss?!”
“It’s definitely me, Aster.”
How did I get dragged into this?!
