“So… Ather… Err… I mean… Minnera. Are you planning to stay permanently now?”
She nodded, “I have already decided that I will stay for as long as you will have me, Aster. That is… If you don’t mind… If you think that what I’ve done is unforgivable, I will understand.”
“Err… Like I said, I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal to begin with so it’s fine, really.”
She bowed her head, “In that case, please accept my apologies for lying to you and my gratitude for taking me in despite my flaws.”
She really is making this out to be a big deal huh…
Ralaie then came over to us, “Seems like this is settled then? Then I shall give you my order and your first official assignment, Minnera.”
The Comissar spun to face the goddess, “W… What? Wait… I thought… I would be allowed to stay with Aster?”
“That’s why… Prepare to receive your first official order from me, Minnera. That is my order to you as your Goddess.”
She was still confused but she obeyed and got down on a knee.
Ralaie took a moment to focus and it felt like her presence grew exponentially.
It no longer felt like I was in front of a giant mountain. Instead, her presence felt like I was standing in front of several mountains that reached all the way up into the clouds and the weight of them all seemed to be crushing down on me.
“Minnera. As your Goddess, I am giving you your first command and appointment as my Comissar. Protect and serve the one known as Aster Nilm to the best of your abilities until she has deemed your presence unnecessary. You are also required to send offerings of any creative works related to Aster to me that you deem suitable. That is all.”
Minnera looked up at her goddess in surprise, “That… That is my order?”
The goddess tilted her head at her, “Why? Are you dissatisfied with this order? If that’s the case, I can always just change the order.”
“No! No! Please! This is perfect! I will carry it out like my life depends on it!”
Ralaie clapped her hands together and that giant mountain presence was dispelled, “Good! Then I have nothing else here. Have fun, both of you!”
I blinked and suddenly, I found myself standing at a different position than I was earlier.
“Mistress?” Katsuki asked, tilting her head.
I blinked again and I realised Ather… Ahem… Minnera, is back in her seat in front of her easel where she had been sitting before Ralaie appeared.
That means I’m also standing where I had been before the goddess created that space as well.
I shook my head, “I’m fine but… Could you call the other girls here? I have something to announce.”
“What shall we do with the remaining slavers, Mistress? Especially the executives?”
“Just kill them. They’re a liability to leave them alive. Unless you have a better idea?”
“Does Mistress wish to enslave them? Carrey is already enslaved to you, Mistress. Would you like to use her?”
I blanched, “Not really. It’s not like I was really, really fond of her or something… I bought her mainly because I felt a little sorry for her. Which obviously turned out to be a mistake on my part. Speaking of which… I wonder if that slave shop even knew about Carrey’s real circumstance? Were they also accomplices?”
“Shall I find out, Mistress?”
I thought about it for a moment before shaking my head, “It’s not worth it I guess. Since we’ve already effectively eliminated this slaver group anyway… So let’s just move on. Anyway, just deal with those slavers and call the other girls here.”
Katsuki bowed, “Understood, Mistress.”
Katsuki left to look for the others while I approached Ath– Minnera.
Damn… This is really going to take a while to get used to it…
She looked up at me when I stopped beside her, “Aster.”
“Minnera. So… That happened, huh?”
She nodded, “Are you sure you are ok with me, Aster? I mean… I feel like I betrayed you somewhat as well. Just like what Carrey did.”
“I would say this isn’t really comparable so no need to worry about it. I do need to explain to the girls about this though… You don’t mind, right?”
“Not at all. They deserve to know as well.”
We only needed to wait for a while before the girls arrived, all of them looking a little tired but also quite refreshed from all the interrogation they did.
Lisa skipped over to me, “You called, Aster? Oh! Is this going to be an after battle orgy? Just let me get ready!”
I cleared my throat, “No, no… I just have some things to tell you… Earlier, Ralaie showed up…”
Katsuki tilted her head, “Do you mean Goddess Ralaie, Mistress?”
I nodded, “She created a space that was suspended in time so to all of you, no time passed but to us, we spent about an hour or so there.”
Odeta frowned, “Us? Sister Aster?”
“I mean, Minnera and myself.”
All of them gave me a confused look, clearly unsure of who I was talking about.
That was the cue for Minnera to stand up and step in front of me.
“Forgive me… I had been misleading all of you with a false name this entire time. My real name is Minnera and the reason for giving a fake name was because I had assumed we would eventually part ways and I did not want to give my real name away.”
Emilia pointed at her, “So your real name is Minnera?”
The Comissar nodded, “Allow me to introduce myself again. I am Minnera, Comissar and servant to Goddess Ralaie.”
“So… Why are you telling us that now?”
“I felt that having all of you know me by a fake name was no different to what Carrey has done here… So I have decided to tell the truth now.”
Delmare then raised her hand, “Umm… May I just ask… Why are we ignoring the fact that Aster had met another God?”
There was a moment of silence before all of them rushed towards me.
“Wait! Aster?! You met Goddess Ralaie?!”
“Sister Aster! Did the Goddess do something to you?! Why was she looking for you?!”
“Boss! How are you meeting all these Gods?”
“What was she like, Aster?”
I waved at them, “Calm down… Actually, she didn’t even aim to meet me to begin with. She was here to talk to Minnera and created that alternate space. But apparently… Because I had already interacted with other gods before, I was able to move around in that space instead of being frozen in time. One thing led to another and… Well I guess I just talked to her.”
“What did she want, Aster?” Lisa asked.
“She was just here to check up on Minnera and I just so happened to be there and they were wondering why I was able to move around the space. She then assigned Minnera to accompany me and paint more paintings as offerings to her so… That’s that.”
“Did you fuck?” Lisa asked, her eyes shining.
“N… No… We did not,” I answered, trying my best not to think about the fact that Hiandoca had been there.
I don’t think I need to tell them that Srii and Hiandoca were also there.
Unfortunately, I forgot there was one particular person here who also technically met one of the Gods before.
Lisa leaned forward and sniffed in my direction before exclaiming, “Ahhhh! Goddess Hiandoca was also here, wasn’t she, Aster?! And the two of you definitely fucked!”
Well… Since she already figured it out…
“Yes, she was, Lisa…”
She licked her lips, “We are so going to bang later~”
I cleared my throat, “Ahem… Anyway… I met Ralaie and we had a short chat… Apparently she’s also a fan of my stories and she gave me permission to call her by her name. That’s pretty much it.”
Delmare tilted her head at me, “So… How many Gods has Aster met now?”
“If you were to count goddess Uskit whom I only had a brief conversation with… It’s five?”
“That’s half the number of Gods there are, Aster…” Lisa commented, giving me a wide eyed look. “You’ve met with half of the pantheon of Gods… And at least three of them really like you as well.”
I was going to ask what was so weird about that until I remembered the fear around Srii and how people might literally die if they were in her presence.
Yet here I was, somehow… Weird, huh?
But hey, it’s not like I planned to meet them to begin with so I wasn’t at fault for this ok?!
This time, Ralaie literally appeared here without any prior warning and I just happened to be there when it happened. You can’t blame me for that!
Anyway… Now that we’re done here… I would really like to go back to civilisation and then have a nice sleep on a nice warm bed…
Though I have a feeling the girls wouldn’t be letting me sleep…
