Chapter 1146: A Mage, A Brawler And A Fighter Walked Into A Slaver Camp

Chapter 1146: A Mage, A Brawler And A Fighter Walked Into A Slaver Camp

“I swear!! That bitch is a mage!! She’s not a fighter!!” Carrey screamed.

The muscled guy raised his fist and tried to punch me again, only for me to deflect his punch away casually with the back of my hand.

He tried to punch me with his other fist but I caught it with my other hand as well, stopping him from moving.

He growled, “If she’s a mage, how is she matching me?!!”

I rolled my eyes at him, “Matching you? You really think you’re matching me right now? You’re giving yourself too much credit.”

He tried to pull back his fist that I caught, only to realise that he couldn’t budge at all.

He roared and tried to grab me with his other hand but I ducked under it to avoid it before clenching my fist.

He thinks we’re evenly matched, huh? Let’s see what happens when I do this then!

I punched him in his abdomen, a crunching sound emanating from the impact before he was sent flying back.

All the slavers gaped at the sight of me sending someone way bigger than me flying like it was nothing.

The guy ended up crashing into the group of slavers that had pretended to be slaves earlier and crushed them under his weight.

“Heat and flames burn my enemies, render them all to ashes and witness my fiery might! [Fire Blast]!”

I turned in the direction of the voice and saw the spectacled guy shooting a gout of flames at me.

I jumped out of the way before the flames burned the space that I had been a moment earlier, setting the ground ablaze.

Hmph… Guess I was right about that guy being a mage.

The mage guy pointed at me, “Look! She’s not using any magic at all! If she was a mage, she would have countered with some kind of spell!!”

“That’s because we already drained her of mana you idiot!!” Carrey refuted.

Hmm… That brings about a question…

I brought out a Mana Crystal and tried to absorb the mana from it.

Oh, looks like it worked.

I was afraid that the stones would be constantly draining my mana which would prevent me from regaining any mana at all.

“What… What is she doing with that Mana Crystal?” One of the slavers whispered.

Everyone turned back to look at me again.

I pointed my palm at the mage guy and even though I did not need to chant, I just went ahead and did so for dramatic effect anyway.

“Heat and flames burn my enemies, render them all to ashes and witness my burning passion! [Fire Blast]!”

A gout of flame blasted out from my palm and shot towards the spectacled guy.

Because of the distance between us, he had time to react to the appearance of the flames even though he was watching me chant the entire time and jumped away.

Everyone was just standing there gaping at me for a good long minute and Carrey was the one who recovered first.

“See?!! See?!! I told you all she’s a mage! She’s just a mage that can also fight with her fists!! … Wait… She’s… A mage that is also physically strong? How… How is that possible?!”

The mage adjusted his glasses with his hand, “It’s just a bluff… She’s obviously not that great of a mage. She might even just be using some kind of artefact to–”

“[Lightning Rod]!” I interrupted.

A rod of lightning appeared in the air and struck in the middle of another group of slavers.

They didn’t even have time to react before lightning arced from the rod and electrocuted the entire group, electrocuting them all into burnt corpses.

The muscled guy leapt back on his feet and charged at me again.

Huh… He’s still able to fight? I’m pretty sure I broke something with that punch so I was expecting him to stay down.

Whatever…

I settled into a stance and buffed myself with [Strength] and [Body Current] before punching forward, our fists meeting once again in the centre.

This time, however, there was no contest as my punch shattered his fist and blew his arm back.

The impact had been so strong that I’m pretty sure I shattered all the bones in his arm up to his shoulder.

“A… AHHHHH!!! My ARM!!!!”

I leapt up and smashed my knee into his chin, sending the muscled brawler flying up into the air before he smashed back down on his back, knocked out.

A ball of fire came flying towards me from the direction of the mage and I instinctively cast am [Aqua Ball] to counter it.

The fire ball and water ball exploding in the air and creating a wall of steam.

“Three… Three types of magic?!” The guy cried out.

I pointed my palm at him and used [Rock Bullet], causing several pieces of earth to rise up from the ground and compress themselves before shooting towards him.

“Four?!!” He shrieked, ducking under the first few bullets that were shot at him.

I then specifically aimed the last one at his head and it struck him dead centre on his temple, his glasses flying off his face from the impact.

He wobbled unsteadily on his feet before falling forward, also knocked unconscious.

The sound of a blade flying through the air came from the side and I leapt back just in time to avoid that Franco guy’s sword slash.

He slashed his sword again from the side and I jumped back once more, creating distance between us.

He wasn’t letting me go however as he tried to chase after me with his blade poised to pierce through my chest.

Instead of reaching me, the sound of metal clashing against metal could be heard when I swung my arm, materialising both my swords in my hands as I parried his lunge away.

For now, my Shadow Sword should still be invisible as I was holding it in the darkness so he should only be able to see my Light Sword.

He narrowed his eyes at me, “You… You can’t be… You’re also proficient in the sword?!”

I pointed my Light Sword at him, “Why don’t you come and find out?”

His response was to charge at me again, his sword coming down at me from above in an overhead slash.

I flicked my wrist towards it, making it look like I was going to parry it.

He then pulled it back right before the swords clashed and tried to stab me again.

However, my Shadow Sword was already there and I blocked his sword with the flat of my blade.

To him, however, it just looked like his sword struck empty air and just stopped for no reason.

I adjusted my arm and swung my Light Sword back down towards him, forcing him to back away from me.

To his credit, he did not ask any questions and simply shifted his sword before leaping at me again.

His sword then glowed for a moment and I quickly crossed my swords in front of me defensively.

“[Heavy Strike]!”

The impact of his sword against my crossed swords sent me skidding back a few feet but I managed to keep both my swords up without letting him break my defence.

“She’s… Managing to keep up with him as well?”

“She is able to fight with a sword too…”

“Just… Who the hell did we try to fight?”

I ignored the clamouring from the onlookers around me as I activated my own Valour Skill as well.

Both of my swords glowed and I slashed forward, my body dashing forward as I slashed out both my swords at the same time.

“[Cross Flash]!”

The scene before me blurred and I found myself standing behind Franco with my swords held at my side.

There was a pause before I turned back to see him spurting out blood from his chest from where I had cut him before his sword clattered onto the ground.

He managed to stay on his feet for just a moment more before he dropped onto the ground like a puppet that had its strings cut.

I then turned to look in Carrey’s direction and nodded at her, “So? What’s it going to be?”

She quickly pointed at me, “Hurry and attack her together!! We still have the numbers!! If we just overwhelm her with our numbers, we can still stand a chance of–”

“All of you, come out.”

My shadow extended and about fifty of my Shadow Guards appeared behind me, all of them forming a defensive line with weapons in their hands.

Carrey’s mouth hung open and a number of the slavers had looks of dread on their faces, most likely already realising that there was no hope of them ever beating me.

Some of them even let go of their weapons before dropping to their knees, hoping that there was a way for them to get out of this without getting slaughtered.

Too bad for you guys… I’m not planning to keep any of you alive.

I pointed my blade at the slavers.

My Shadow Guards charged.

With all the screaming and crying from the slavers, I’m surprised monsters didn’t show up to check things out here.
