Chapter 930: Who Let The Dogs Out

The dogs were all loaded up in large containers with each of them containing ten dogs each.

The containers themselves resembled large sized cages which I found to be quite distasteful to begin with since they all sported metallic floors and only had a simple food and water dispenser that people could load up from outside to feed them.

My girls were, of course, nowhere to be found, but I have no doubt they were watching the entire thing through cameras in the cargo hold since the drones were helping out with the loading which I have no doubt Ries was overseeing.

That woman who was supposed to be the handler of the dogs was watching the loading process with her arms crossed and with furrowed brows.

I never got her name and she didn’t seem keen to introduce herself either so I didn’t bother to ask.

Once all of them were properly placed in the cargo bay did she turn to talk to me again.

"Where’s my room? I hope your ship does have a room to spare?"

I nodded and went ahead to guide her towards one of the spare bedrooms that was closest to the cargo bay and furthest from mine, figuring out that she probably would want to be close to the dogs.

She stepped in with her bags without a word and let the door slide shut behind her, locking it without waiting for me to say anything else.

Hmm... I guess as a Biotamer, she’s also considered someone who is in the upper rungs of society so for her to be sent all the way out there to what was essentially a warzone... She might have done something to piss off her family or someone important which made them decide to send her here.

And not only that, she probably also saw Mercs like myself as someone beneath them and not worthy of attention.

Oh well... I wasn’t trying to make friends with her anyway so I don’t really care about her attitude anyway.

Instead, I decided to go and look for my girls in their rooms to tell them about our new guest.

I found them inside my room, all of them huddled together as a group like they were trying to hide from something.

I raised an eyebrow at them, "Really? Come on, it’s not that bad."

Amber pouted at me, "Easy for you to say when those things won’t tear your face off..."

"I’ll put myself in between them for you girls, ok?"

"NO!!!" All of them shouted at the same time.

I was actually a little surprised by their outburst and jumped a little.

Amber growled, "As if we’re going to let you stand in front of some foul beasts!! If anything, we should be the ones in front and stopping them from reaching you!"

Umm... Well... That would have definitely sounded hot if you were talking about any other alien monster but these were dogs we’re talking about... So it sounded more like you wanted all the fluff for yourself instead...

I cleared my throat, "Ahem... Anyway... It seems like we have another person on board as well."

Ries nodded and lifted up her personal terminal, showing me what I had thought was going on where she was watching the cargo bay through the cameras in her drones and in the cargo bay itself.

Which meant that everyone here should also be aware of the woman’s presence at this point.

"What’s she like, Mistress?" Yumiko asked.

"A bitch," Renata answered immediately from my side, having been the only one to accompany me this entire time.

Oof...

I sighed, "Don’t be so mean to her, Renata... Let’s just say that she’s misunderstood..."

Renata pouted at me cutely, "She was rude to you, Daddy!"

I waved my hand, "It’s fine. It didn’t really bother me that much. And it’s not like she’s joining the crew anyway. We’ll just be dropping her off at that planet and then we’ll leave right after that for another delivery. Whatever happens after that is none of our business."

Renata puffed up her cheeks even bigger, "Mmmmm!! But this is your ship, Daddy! She should at least show you some respect! She’s treating it like she owns the place!"

"Ok... That’s just an exaggeration now... She was just being unfriendly, nothing like what you just described."

"Still! She should be put in her place, Daddy! Give me five minutes with her!"

"No. Don’t do anything to her, ok? Treat her as a guest. Right now our completion of this job also relies on her well-being, mind you."

And I wouldn’t be able to troll her if she has other things to worry about... But they don’t need to know that.

"Oh... But I will leave her intact, Daddy! Mostly..."

She had muttered the last word softly but I still managed to catch it before giving her a boop on the nose.

"No. Leave her alone."

Renata obviously didn’t want to but she still obeyed with a soft sight before proceeding to hug me from behind and rub her face against my back.

I took that as her way of coping with it so I did not comment and let her do what she wanted.

I then nodded at my girls, "That goes for the rest of you girls as well, ok? Don’t do anything that might get us to fail this job. We just need to transport her and the dogs to that planet over the next week and we won’t see her anymore. Got it?"

There was a scattering of noises coming from the girls and I pointed my finger at them, "I mean it. If you want my tentacles to be inside you, I’ll be paying attention to what you girls are doing as well. If I feel that you girls are doing anything to her, I’m not leaving my tentacle inside you after that, got it?"

That seemed to shake my girls out of their stupor as they finally gave me a reluctant ’yes’.

Satisfied, I got them to get back to work in preparing to start our flight towards the planet while I decided to go and check on the dogs as well as letting Freyja out of Renata’s body.

I stepped past the woman’s room and half expected her to appear but her door remained shut and silent.

Moving past the armoury, I returned to the cargo bay with Renata and she stepped beside me without any prompting to reach her hands up to her chest.

I watched as she slid both fingers into her chest in between her boobs, her fingers disappearing inside her skin and tearing her chest apart.

She then pulled her chest open to reveal a dark void behind it which expanded past her normal size and allowed Freyja to hop out of the darkness and looking completely unharmed.

My doggo turned around and let out a happy bark while wagging her tail, prompting me to go over and start patting her and rubbing my face against her snout.

So cute~

I made sure Freyja got a good helping of pats and belly scratches before I went over to check on the other dogs that we were transporting.

As though on cue, my ship began to move as we started on our journey towards the bug infested planet to complete our delivery.

I went over to the cages and made myself known to the dogs there, letting myself appear at the edge of their cage with Freyja accompanying me.

The effect was almost immediate as the dogs in those cages perked up and they lifted themselves up to look in my direction, their ears perked and alert.

A few of them sniffed the air and I watched as their tails slowly started to wag before they climbed up to their feet and started pawing their way towards me slowly.

They sniffed again and the speed of their tail wags increased exponentially until it was a blur before they bounded over to the cage, stopping right in front of the bars to look up at me with sparkly eyes.

All of them started barking happily and a few of them were even bouncing around, trying to get closer to me.

Hnnnggg... So cute...

I couldn’t help myself of course.

I went ahead to try to open the locks on the doors of the cage, only to frown when I noticed that they were locked.

Right... Of course. There was no way they would just let anyone open the cage like that.

But... Too bad for them...

I brought out my Codex and connected it to the cages, making sure that there were no hidden alarms or sensors that would trigger before I unlocked the cage and opened the door.

In that instant, all the dogs let out a unified bark before they rushed out of the open doors of their cages and I was met with an entire tidal wave of fluff as they all pounced on me.

I couldn’t help but let out a laugh as I got tackled to the ground and the dogs started licking me and scurrying around me to get pats from me.

I was completely lost in the sea of doggos when a scream came from the doorway, prompting me to look up to see that girl standing there with an ashen look on her face.

Oh... Well... I was hoping that she would only see this a few days into the journey...

Guess I might as well start the trolling now. Oh noooooo... Help meee... I’m getting attacked~
