Chapter 246: The Former Queen Is Still A Queen

I was thinking today would be another normal day for me as I was walking through the tower to head to my next meeting when Valletta appeared around the corner.

By how she stepped out into the corridor, I have a feeling she had been waiting for me to appear here this entire time.

I already knew what she wanted even before she said anything so I just let her pull me away towards a secluded corner of the corridor where she pushed me up against the wall to start sniffing me rather erotically.

"Mmmm... Sniff... Sniff... You smell so good, Master..." She moaned, her nose pressed up against my neck.

"You’re quite kinky huh..." I muttered, not really complaining but just stating a fact.

She pulled back slightly to shoot me a grin, her longer than normal canines peeking out from behind her lips.

"Mmm... Only because it’s you, Master. No one else makes me feel like this."

"Uh huh... I’m still wondering if you’re actually a vampire though."

"Fufufu~ The fact that I am sucking your life energy could classify me as one I suppose. And I don’t really feel the need to suck blood to begin with."

"What’s with the long fangs then?"

She shot me a grin which only exposed her long fangs even more to me, "I have looked into your animals that you have in this World, Master. I’m sure there are other animals that also have long canines but don’t suck blood, do they?"

I shrugged, "You’re more human though..."

"Fufufu~ I suppose so~ But no, the fangs are for another purpose~"

I raised an eyebrow, "What kind of purpose?"

She leaned in and gave my neck a lick, "Mmm... Slurp~ Making servants for one~"

I turned to her slowly, "What?"

She pulled back again and giggled, "Ufufufu~ Oh don’t worry, it only works on the dead and weak willed mortals."

"No, no, no... What do you mean by that? This is the first time I’ve heard of this."

She blinked at me, "Ara? Were you not aware, my dear Master? Hmm... I suppose I have not spent much time telling you about myself after all, have I?"

I shook my head at her, "Not really... Each time you’re with me, you’re basically doing this."

I gestured at her close proximity with me.

She let out a sigh of content, "Mmm... I can’t help it, your essence is just... Divine~"

She sucked in another breath before licking her lips, her hands going up to her cheeks to cup them while showing me a rather lewd face.

I’m already used to her making this face every time she sucks my essence so I didn’t make a big deal out of it.

I waited for her to be done with that before she took a step back from me to smoothen out her clothes, making it look like nothing happened.

I cleared my throat, "So... I have a meeting now but... I don’t exactly need to attend it. Do you want to find somewhere and have a chat?"

Her face lit up, "Oh my? A chance to spend time with my Master all alone with no interruptions... And it’s my Master inviting me? Of course I would be happy to!"

She moved to my side and wrapped her arm around mine, tightening her grip to hold onto me like I was a prisoner being escorted.

"Where to, Master?"

I only had a moment to consider before shrugging and creating the teleportation door that opened up to my penthouse.

We stepped through it and I made sure that my sister wasn’t around right now before guiding Valletta to the sofa in the living room, sitting down on it with her curled up against my side and actively sucking in more of my life essence.

"Anyway..." I started, trying to get her attention. "You were supposed to be a Queen or something? And you came from the same world as Olivia?"

She let out a sigh of content as more of my life essence flowed into her, "Mmm... That’s right. What do you want to know? I’m an open book~"

"Well... From what I know about you... You’re supposed to be a Queen?"

"Mmm... That’s right. Actually... You could say that I was like the demon lord in your world’s stories~"

I raised an eyebrow at her, "The demon lord?"

"Mmhmm~ That’s right. I forged a settlement out of the dead and people came to fight me for my riches so I turned them into my slaves as well. Then more people came so I turned them all and forged a kingdom to protect myself and before I knew it, I was suddenly crowned a Queen of the lands and people saw me as some evil entity that was plotting to take over the world or something."

I blinked at her for a moment, "Wait... So... You got mistaken as some evil queen or something?"

"Mmm... I suppose there is some merit to what they claim since I was, after all, turning people into my slaves~"

"Huh... You really are a vampire in a way... You turn people into your thralls with your bite... Where are they now?"

She tilted her head up at me, "Who are you talking about, Master?"

"The thralls that you turned. You had an entire kingdom of them, right?"

"Mmm... When those Anomalies attacked, I had to rally them for war and many of them perished during the early days of the invasion. Still... I managed to gather the survivors and make my way to this World so they are still around I suppose."

"Uh huh... I assume they are working in this tower then?"

"Oh no, they’re working out there actually. Does my name not ring any bells?"

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Valletta?"

She shook her head, "Incotassia, Master."

I stared at her for a good few seconds before another name popped up in my mind.

"Wait... You can’t be serious... Incotassia Logistics?!"

"Ara, ara~ For my Master to know my company, that is a great honour~"

"You’re the boss of Incotassia Logistics?! The most rapidly growing logistics company in this half of the world right now?!"

She placed a finger on her lips, "It helps to have servants who have no need to rest and are slavishly loyal to you~"

"Vampire thralls... They’re... Technically undead, aren’t they? Is no one complaining about ethics or something? Like making use of dead people to do work?"

"Ara? The people who complain are the minority when the rest of the world is getting a twenty four seven service and delivery~ We would process and deliver anything even in the middle of the night or holidays! What’s more, worker satisfaction always stays at one hundred percent!"

Right... I heard that this company basically beat out most of the regional competitors rather quickly and then started buying up competition to establish a solid monopoly over this region.

They then expanded to sweep the rest of the region and basically all types of deliveries were handled by them.

"But... The manpower involved..." I muttered before slowly turning to her in fear. "Did you... Turn even more people into undead?"

"Mmm... There were a few actually. My company does hire living people of course, but there were some who requested they be turned into my thrall. For some reason, there’s people who really like the idea of me biting them and then being turned into my servants. A few even went through the extra length of asking me to step on them for some reason. Those I would bite and turn into my servants but I don’t turn anyone who has not harmed me or are unwilling to turn into my servants~"

Right... I guess we do have some really kinky people around who would definitely want to be a slave to a vampire queen walking around... They wouldn’t pass up the chance to be one for real if they knew about it...

Then I realised something else, "Wait a minute... Doesn’t that mean you’re really rich? I think... I heard that the owner was supposed to be worth billions?"

She shrugged, "I suppose. It’s nothing much to me."

"What do you mean? You could be living your life comfortably instead of being here and playing second fiddle to someone! Why are you even a Guardian?!"

"Fufufu~ Because this is where I’m most comfortable, Master~ I’ve been looking for you for centuries and now that I’ve finally found you... All those riches, those servants, that empire... I could give them all up if it meant I get to be with you~ Serving a God is a position greater than being a simple Queen~"

I blinked at her, wondering just why she would go so far until she leaned over and licked my neck again.

"This life essence... Sniff sniff~ Ahhh... It’s so intoxicating~ This is something that no amount of billions can ever buy! Finally a life essence that can actually fill me and make me feel whole! I’m never letting you go, Master!"

Ahh... So that’s why... She’s just a glutton, isn’t she?
