What Do You Mean I Have Nine Wives?
Chapter 193: Prophecy
In an ethereal space where ten souls stood before each other, one of the souls spoke. Although in his soul form, his appearance resembled a fishman.
"That guy is lawless. Are we just going to let him do whatever he wants?"
"Well! You figure out a way to track his position, then I can kill him for you."
Another one spoke. He looked very human, to the point it was surprising to see a human and a fishman communicating like this.
"His existence has brought us a problem, but he is not wrong. Without him, millions of lives would’ve been lost."
The third soul spoke. He looked like an old man with a lot of wisdom in his head.
"Come on, Turk! We all know you wanted to kill him the first time. A guy with the cultivation of Soul Sublimation Real wielded two different laws."
The fourth soul sneered.
"We shouldn’t be worried about that. Our primary objective is to stop those weapons. Don’t forget they are essentially changing the nature of the war."
The fifth soul spoke. She was a woman, speaking in a gentle voice.
"Yes! Thousands of fishmen are dying because of those weapons. Those low-level countries are just supporting this business."
"We can’t let them continue. We have to strike first. We have to destroy their factories."
The fishman spoke.
"But can you find them? Daisy Grant has disappeared, alongside Elena Grant and Alfred Grant."
"They are hiring middlemen from different countries, people desperate for money to continue their business."
"Unless you are willing to destroy those countries, we can’t stop those weapons sales. Besides, you should be grateful we haven’t said anything about your recent action."
A soul that appeared like half human and half animal spoke.
The invasion of a Fishman Lord was off the table. It couldn’t be accepted by any of those ten people.
"That’s right! Don’t forget that Evil God isn’t the only one causing trouble throughout the world."
"The followers of Lord Shiva are hellbent on destroying the world, believing that the world must be destroyed for a better creation."
"The followers of Lord Zeus are hellbent on spreading the faith of their gods to the world, forcing everyone to worship that god."
"These are just the gods that have been openly spreading their faith and identity."
"There could be dozens of Evil Gods like that one trying to take control of the world or even destroy us."
"That means Western Continent, Eastern Continent, Northern Continent, and Southern Continent are all facing the invasion of various gods and demons from myths."
"With most of the Kings, Nascent Souls, and Sages fighting against the invading force in the Ancient Battlefield of Gods and Demons, we are stuck with the thin forces of Lords."
A tall man wearing a suit spoke. Although he was in his soul form, except for looking ethereally green, he seemed like an Office Boss.
"Maybe we need those weapons."
"No!"
"Impossible!"
"We can’t accept those weapons."
"We have to destroy them."
Everyone else immediately shook their heads and rejected the very idea of using those weapons.
It wasn’t that those weapons weren’t strong enough, but rather they were too convenient.
They were all smart people. They understood that if those bombs kept improving rapidly, even a warrior would’ve the power to kill a King.
They couldn’t let that happen.
Which of them didn’t have enemies? Which of them didn’t have blood for thousands of people on their hands?
The only reason they slept well in their bed was simply that their enemies couldn’t harm them.
Even if those enemies wanted to use some kind of self-destruction, they didn’t have the tool to take them down.
But with those bombs, things could change drastically.
Making those bombs cheaper and more powerful meant handing the power to every weak person.
Strong people are arrogant.
Arrogant people make enemies
So when those enemies were given weapons, they could take down strong people.
Hearing their squabbles, the man in the suit raised his hand and said.
"We will not make any move against them. Do not forget! I joined this council to fight for our continent, not for your petty hatred."
"The Fishman Race is allowed to make their move, but you mustn’t use any of the remaining Kings and Nascent Soul cultivators for the war."
"If you are able to destroy them with your Lords, so be it! But if you can’t, I will not let anyone interfere."
As he said that, the soul of that man slowly vanished from that space.
Others looked at each other and finally settled on the Fishman.
At this moment, one of the two women spoke.
"You must understand the threat doesn’t come from those people. The real threat comes from those Gods."
"We do not know why they have appeared and why now, but to protect our land, we can’t lose our people."
"Bardock is right. I, Sierra of the Vampire Race, will stop you if any of you send your people to help Jordan."
Hearing that, the other people turned their heads away; only the beast man and another woman nodded and left.
Bardock turned his gaze towards Turk and sneered.
"It seems like she still holds grudges against you and your organization."
"Humph! No one here is innocent. Who is trying to fool?"
Turk clenched his fist.
"That bastard! It took me a month to find out the real cause of the destruction of those bases."
"Tyler Grant! He has already forged hatred with me. I will not let him live. Jordan, I will send you my forces. You can use Source Crystal."
Hearing that, Jordan smirked.
"It seems like you are willing to do anything to destroy them. Good! I will send my army to raze the Red Hogg Country in a month."
Another soul calmly spoke.
"What if that troublesome guy interferes again?"
"Then, we will kill him right there."
"Can you even catch him?"
"Didn’t he say he is a Savior? If he doesn’t appear, I will destroy those countries."
"Heh! It seems like madness is shrinking your brain. He clearly stated he would become an avenger if something like that happens."
"Do not forget, Bardock, if your fishman race loses more than thirty percent of its strength, we will kick you out of the council."
After he said that, his soul left.
—————————
Within the territory of the Vampire Race;
Sierra had just left the soul space when she heard a knock on her door.
"Come in!"
She asked while sitting on a chair.
The door opened, and a woman wearing a long black dress walked in. She took a stance with one knee and spoke.
"Madam, I’ve found the Vampire Child Elena. She was an orphan who was raised in an orphanage in the Red Hogg Country."
"When she turned eleven, she was adopted by Alfred Grant and became a caretaker of Tyler Grant."
"Until recently, she started using the surname Grant while also holding the founder position of TG Company."
"We didn’t find anything about her awakening, but she has reached the Soul Sublimation Realm at the age of twenty-one."
Sierra didn’t say anything. She just tapped the table several times until she eventually stood up and asked.
"Quiri, do you think we should meet her?"
Quiri raised her head in confusion and asked.
"Madam, if you are willing to meet her, we will spare no effort in finding her."
"No, no, no, you don’t understand. Follow me!"
She shook her head and left the room with Quiri. They kept walking towards the deer part of the mansion.
The palace was getting darker and darker until they reached a completely dark room.
Of course, this didn’t faze them. Both were able to see in the dark.
They kept walking until they reached in front of a large rock carved like a thick book.
Sierra snapped her fingers, and the light appeared inside the room. This light reflected on the rock and showed something.
On top of it, there were several words and pictures.
At the very top, there was a tall man surrounded by dark clouds.
"Quiri, we might be vampires, but we are essentially humans who have been mutated by the Law of Darkness."
"Our ancestor took such a drastic action to break the limits of the techniques that humans inherit."
"Unfortunately, we were not able to break that rule, only change it slightly."
Sierra waved her hand, and the top layer of the rock started peeling off like a page from the book.
There were several names written on the second page, but most of them were unknown to her.
Sierra kept turning the page until the third page, where two names appeared that she knew.
[Sierra]
[Elena]
"Madam, what does this mean?"
She saw the word Spirit written at the very top. She knew this word very well, but she didn’t know why it appeared here.
Then, she saw Sierra turning the page again several more times before there was a page with several names, but there was one blank section.
Sierra pointed at that section and said.
"You see, Quiri, this was where Elena’s name appeared two years ago."
"This Book of Stone records every single child born in the Vampire Race of this planet."
"And it also records a prophecy; or rather, every Book of Stone records this prophecy."
"One day, there will be a Vampire Child who will tame the Darkness and make us True Vampires."
Sierra turned around and solemnly spoke.
"So, we must find the answer to this question. Why did the rank of her technique change?"
