Chapter 161 - YOU'RE SNEAKY
"Enter!"
The door to the room slowly opened. Ellena, who had been focusing her eyes on the door, suddenly got up from her seat when she found Richard entering her room.
"Mr. Richard? Is there anything I can help you with?" asked Elena politely. The attitude that should be shown to a boss.
"Don't call me that. I'd prefer it if we talked more casually like before," said Richard. Now he was standing in front of Ellena with the table as a barrier between them.
"It's still time to work. I don't dare. What if another employee hears?" Ellena replied, feeling doubtful if she had to be so casual with her boss while still at the office.
"Why care about them. I'm the boss in this company, not them," replied Richard choosing to be indifferent, because he does have a cold attitude and doesn't really care about what other people say.
"But-"
"Okay. Do whatever you want, Patricia," concluded Richrad, forced to give in this time. Trying to understand Ellena, seemed like the only way he had to approach her.
"Thank you, Sir." Ellena seemed to have a small smile on her face.
"But remember! Outside of working hours, consider me your friend!" Richard reminded him firmly.
"Very well, Sir," replied Elena quietly. "Is there anything I can help you with?" She asked, frowning.
"Hm ... how about your work on the first day?" Richard asked for sure.
"Hm ... fun, because there wasn't too much work on this first day. Just checking some financial statements I don't think there's anything bothering you. It seems that your employee is very painstaking until he finishes the job thoroughly, before leaving this office," explained Ellena. length and width.
"Yes, you're right. He is indeed one of my most diligent and painstaking employees, that's why I miss him so much, but I also can't force him to keep working here," replied Richard looking regretful.
"Yes, I know that. You must be really missing out." Ellena whispered as if she could feel what Richard was feeling right now.
"It's break time. Come on, let's have lunch together!" take Richard to the point, without asking, Ellena is willing or not to have lunch with him this time.
"Sorry, Sir, I can't," said Ellena politely, suddenly making Richard drop his eyebrows in surprise.
"Don't tell me you turned me down because you felt bad for another employee," said Richard, whether it was a question or a statement. It was clear that his gaze was full of inquisitiveness towards the woman in front of him.
"Yes, you're right. Maybe that's one of the reasons—"
"I told you not to care what they say. Can you just be so ignorant about the unimportant talk that comes out of them?" interrupted Richard, reiterating his words.
"But not only that. There are other reasons that are more important than just what unimportant people say out there." Ellena explained, trying to clarify what she had said earlier.
"What's that?" asked Richard, it was obvious that he was very curious.
Ellena was silent for a while, as if there was some doubt as to when she was about to reveal her reason to her superior.
"Why didn't you answer my question? Come on, tell me, what was the reason you turned down my invitation?" Richard attacked, eagerly waiting for Ellena's answer.
Meanwhile, Ellena only glanced at her bag which was on the table. a moment. She then looked back at Richard's face.
"Wait!" She asked Richard, just before he reached for the bag. She took out a purple square box from her bag.
"My mother has already prepared lunch for me. So, I can't eat out and decided to eat here anyway." Ellena seemed to show Richard the plastic lunch box.
Richard immediately looked away with a chuckle. "Oh My God, Patricia ... I thought you had a much more important reason than just that lunch box." Richard said still chuckling.
"You can't be wrong. However, I consider this lunch box the most important thing in my life." Ellena answered honestly from the bottom of her heart, remembering her mother was the most precious person in her life.
"Yeah, I know. Why is that lunch so important to you."Â Richard replied as if he immediately understood the meaning behind Ellena's words.
"What?" asked Ellena deliberately wanting to test the superior's instincts.
"Of course it's because of your mother. Because your mother has prepared the lunch for you," replied Richard, which suddenly made Ellena slightly flabbergasted.
"How did you know?" Ellena squinted, looking at Richard questioningly.
"Akh, didn't you say yourself that it was your mother who prepared the meal. You really are forgetful, Patricia." Richard replied, looking relaxed.
"Ah yes, you're right. I'm forgetful."
Laughter suddenly broke out in the room. Unknowingly, they had been swept away. the short conversation.
"Okay, since you can't eat out with me, then allow me to eat here," Richard said as he landed on the chair in front of Ellena's desk.
"What do you mean? You'd better go with the others. Besides, I only brought one box of lunch, it can't be enough for the two of us to eat," said Ellena, refusing in a subtle way.
"No problem. I'll order some food and we can have lunch together here."
"But-"
"Even I don't care, even if you reject me," Richard concluded, not giving Ellena a chance to protest.
How could Ellena dodge, if Richard himself behaved like that. Don't accept rejection and push your will too much. In the end, Ellena relented and allowed Richard to eat in her room.

The sound of a knock on the door suddenly echoed in Lucas' private room. This suddenly made Lucas, who was sitting back on the bed, suddenly gasped and turned his head towards the source of the sound.
"Enter!" He shouted to someone out there, who he was sure that if it wasn't his mother, it would be Joana.
"Good morning, Lucas!!"
Wrong. It turned out that Lucas' assumption was wrong, when he found Michelle who suddenly appeared in his room.
"What are you doing here?" Lucas asked sarcastically, as Michelle was still walking towards him carrying a tray of food.
"I've fulfilled your request. Have you forgotten your promise, Lucas?" Michelle replied, lifting the corner of her lips. Now he was standing right beside the bed, where Lucas was.
"What do you mean? What promise did we make?" Lucas looked at Michelle sarcastically. Ah, he really forgot what agreement that seemed to bind the two of them?
"According to your request, I accompanied Adley to the party that night and now it's my turn to collect the promise from you," Michelle explained deliberately looking for opportunity in the narrowness.
Ah, he shouldn't have had to agree to that ridiculous deal with Michelle. In the end, he himself would be overwhelmed by the woman.
Lucas looked away for a moment, then looked down for a moment before responding to Michelle's words.
"What do you want?" he asked, glancing at Michelle.
"I want you not to stop me from doing whatever I want, including seeing you," Michelle replied with a smirk.
Lucas huffed in annoyance. Stupid. How could he possibly be caught up in that woman's game. Unlucky. Is there anything more annoying than this?
"So how's it going? Do you want to kick me out, Lucas?" Michelle grinned happily, feeling like she had won her own game.
"Yes, if you are willing, please get out of my room!" Lucas firmly chose not to care about the agreement he had with Michelle.
"I do not want!" refused Michelle firmly.
"We don't do black and white agreements. So, there won't be any sanctions, even if we break the agreement, correct?" Lucas replied a little threatening.
"Yeah, feel free to do whatever you want, Lucas. You can yell at me so that Mrs Veronica hears it," Michelle said as if she didn't feel the slightest threat.
"It even seems like your mother likes me, Lucas. The proof is that she asked me to meet you here and asked me to feed you while eating," added Michelle, instantly making Lucas rounded up perfectly. Is what Michelle said true?
"Oh shit! You must have approached my mother on purpose!" Lucas snapped, licking his lips.
"You're wrong, Lucas. It was Mrs. Veronica herself who approached me and seemed like she wanted to see us getting close," Michelle argued.
"Don't expect you to be able to approach me that easily, Miss. I already have a much prettier wife and I love so much. She is the winner of my heart until now!" Lucas insisted.
"I don't care. Prove that your wife loves you too. She should be by your side right now, right?" replied Michelle who only responded with a lazy chuckle by Lucas. "Okay, looks like we've gone too far into unimportant things." She added as she landed on the edge of the bed, sitting opposite Lucas.
The tray of food he placed beside him, then he took the plate and spoon.
"You have to eat, so you'll get better soon." She said as he took a spoonful of food from the plate and handed it to Lucas.
"I can eat myself!" refuse Lucas does not want to be fed by his ex-lover.
"I'm just trying to keep Mrs. Veronica's trust. She asked me to feed you," Michelle explained confidently. "Come on, open your mouth!" he asked then.
Their debate ended. Lucas was forced to agree to Michelle's wish. One by one the food entered his mouth. However, he deliberately circulated his gaze in several directions. He didn't want to look at Michelle who seemed to be staring at him so closely and a smile grew.
"You're sneaky, Michelle. I don't like you treating me like this!" Lucas snapped in the middle of breakfast.
Michelle only responded with a smile, as if everything Lucas said was used to hearing her ears, even if it was hurtful.
