On the other side, Raghav was facing the Hulking. The Hulking charged at him, fast and heavy, and attacked him.

Raghav blocked it, but the force pushed him back. His feet dug into the ground, leaving deep trails behind him.

“…Damn.” The difference was clear. This Hulking was far stronger than he expected. He stepped forward to counter and threw a punch.

“BOOM!!” The hit landed, but it barely affected the monster. In the next instant, the Hulking grabbed him.

“GRRRAAAHH!!” And slammed him into the ground.

“THUD!!!” Raghav coughed. The impact sent a sharp pain through his body. Before he could recover, another punch came.

“BOOOOM!!!” He rolled away just in time as the ground exploded beside him.

“This thing is on another level…”

He pushed himself up, breathing heavier now. He raised his launcher and fired.

“THOOM!!!” It was a direct hit.

The Hulking staggered for a moment, but it didn’t fall. Its chest tore open, then slowly began to regenerate. Raghav’s eyes narrowed.

“You’ve got to be kidding me.” The Hulking charged again. This time, he didn’t try to counter. Instead, he blocked barely.

Each hit felt heavier than the last. For him, each second was became harder to endure. He was now, no longer trying to win, he was holding it back, delaying it to buy the time.

“Captain better finish fast…” He murmured, while another punch came. He blocked, but his arms trembled under the impact.

“BOOOOM!!!” This time, he was thrown back, rolling across the ground before finally stopping. He forced himself up again, blood at the corner of his mouth.

“…Heh.” A weak grin appeared.

Because right now, he could only do one thing, survive.

On another side of the battlefield, the ground trembled heavily.

“THUD… THUD… THUD…” The Armored Colossus moved forward, each step like a falling boulder.

Imran stood in front of it and raised his shield, flames flickering along its edges.

“…Come.” The Colossus didn’t roar or rush. It simply lifted its massive arm and brought it down.

“BOOOOOOOOM!!!” Imran blocked, but his whole body shook violently. The impact traveled through the shield, into his arms, and deep into his bones.

“…UGH!” His feet sank into the ground as he was forced back, one step, then two, then three.

“…Too heavy…” Before he could steady himself, the second strike came faster.

The shield dented slightly, and the flames along its edges flickered. Imran’s arms began to tremble.

“Damn it…” He pushed forward, trying to counter, and slammed his shield into the Colossus.

But it didn’t move. Not even an inch.

“…What kind of monster is this?” The Colossus reached out and grabbed the shield. Its grip tightened.

“CRACK…!” The metal strained. Imran’s eyes widened. He immediately activated the shield’s ability.

“FWOOM!!!” Flames burst outward, forcing the Colossus to loosen its grip slightly, but it still didn’t step back.

Instead, it swung again.

“BOOOOOM!!!” This time, Imran was thrown back. His body slid across the ground before he managed to stop himself.

He struggled to breathe. His arms felt numb. “…I can’t even hold it properly…”

Still, he stood up again, raised his shield. Because this was his duty.

Meanwhile, on another side of the battlefield, nothing stayed still. Because their enemy wasn’t visible.

“…Where is it?” Vikrant muttered, his fists crackling with electricity.

Neha’s eyes moved constantly, sharp and focused, tracking something no one else could see.

“Don’t rely on sight. Watch movement. Listen.”

A shadow flickered for a split second.

“There!” She fired. “BANG!”

The bullet passed through empty space.

“…Missed, no, it moved,” she corrected immediately.

Behind Vikrant, “SHHHK—!”

A claw-like strike came out of nowhere.

He reacted just in time, releasing a shockwave. The electric pulse forced something to flicker into view for a moment, a distorted figure with long limbs and a twisted body. Then it vanished again.

“…Damn it!” Vikrant gritted his teeth. “It’s too fast!”

“It’s not just fast,” Neha said calmly. “It hides between movements.”

Another flicker appeared, this time above. “Left!”

“BOOM!!!” Vikrant punched upward, releasing another shockwave. Electric arcs spread through the air, and for a brief moment, the Shadow Lurker appeared again. Its body twisted unnaturally, faint glowing eyes visible in the dark.

Then it disappeared.

“We can’t keep this up,” Vikrant said, breathing heavier now.

“You don’t have to kill it,” Neha replied. “Just don’t let it settle.”

But even that was difficult. Every few seconds, it vanished, resetting its position, waiting, and attacking from blind spots.

Another strike came from behind Neha. She ducked and fired at point-blank range.

“BANG!” This time, it hit. But not enough. The creature slipped back into the shadows once more.

“It’s playing with us,” Vikrant muttered.

Neha’s grip tightened slightly. “No. It’s waiting… for one mistake.”

They stood back-to-back, breathing steady, eyes sharp.

Because they both understood, one wrong step, and there would be no second chance.

At the center of the battlefield, where the pressure was the heaviest, Isha landed directly in front of it, the Wall Breaker.

Before she even fully touched the ground, her eyes locked onto its weapon arm. The launcher was already glowing, energy gathering inside it, ready to fire.

She moved instantly.

“THUD!” The ground cracked as she dashed forward and struck the arm before it could release.

“SHHHK—CLANG!!” Her blades collided with the launcher, forcing the energy to scatter and interrupting the attack mid-charge. The glow flickered violently before fading.

The Wall Breaker staggered slightly, but quickly steadied itself. It stepped forward again, each movement shaking the ground.

“THUD… THUD…” Its glowing red eyes locked onto her as that broken, animal-like laugh echoed once more.

“Khrr… khh… HA… HA…!!” Isha didn’t respond. Her expression remained cold and focused. This time, she wasn’t holding back.

Her aura surged as white energy wrapped around her arms, condensing into a pair of sleek, dense combat gauntlets. From each knuckle, three long, razor-sharp blades extended outward.

“SHHHK.” She lowered her stance, balanced and ready. Then she moved.

“THUD!” The ground cracked again as she dashed forward, faster than before. Her fist shot toward its torso, blades slicing through the air.

“SHHHK!!” But the Wall Breaker shifted slightly and leaned back, causing the attack to miss.

Isha’s eyes narrowed as she followed up immediately, chaining one strike after another, left punch, right slash, continuous attacks.

“SHHK! SHHK! SHHK!!” Her movements were fast, precise, and deadly, yet every strike missed by the smallest margin.

The Wall Breaker wasn’t dodging randomly. It was reading her. Anticipating every move.

Its massive body shouldn’t have been able to react like this, yet it did.

Isha increased her speed and power, her attacks becoming sharper and more forceful.

“SHHHK!! BOOM!! SHHK!!” Blades cut through the air as shockwaves formed with each strike, but the Wall Breaker twisted and shifted, avoiding most attacks and blocking the rest.

Even with its size, it moved like an experienced fighter. Isha stepped back slightly, and for a brief moment, both of them stood still. Her aura flickered, sharper and heavier now.

“So you’re not just brute force…” The Wall Breaker tilted its head before slowly lifting its weapon arm again. The launcher began to glow as energy gathered inside it, faster and denser than before.

Isha’s eyes sharpened. “BOOOOOOM!!!”

A rocket fired straight at her. She vanished.

The explosion struck the ground with a massive blast.

A powerful shockwave spread across the battlefield, sending debris flying in all directions. But Isha reappeared mid-air, completely unharmed, and dashed forward again, closing the distance instantly.

This time, she targeted the weapon arm.

Her blades struck, “CLANG!!”

Sparks flew, but the armor held. She didn’t stop. Her attacks followed one after another, faster, stronger, relentless.

Second strike. Third, Fourth.

But the Wall Breaker continued to dodge most of them and block the rest. Then its left arm swung with overwhelming force.

“BOOOOOM!!!” Isha crossed her arms to block, but the impact pushed her back through the air. She hit the ground and skidded across it before finally stopping.

For the first time, she felt the weight of its strength clearly.

“…Heavy.” She stood up again, her aura rising higher as her eyes locked onto it. Now she understood. This wasn’t something she could overpower easily.

This wasn’t something she could out-speed casually. This was a real boss.

The Wall Breaker stepped forward once more, its launcher beginning to glow again as that distorted laugh echoed across the battlefield.

“Khrr… khh… HA… HA…!!”

While Isha and the others were locked in dangerous battles against the Apex Zombies, two people were still enjoying their fight, completely unaware of their captain’s situation.

James calmly took the last bite of his apple. Crunch.

He raised the Anaconda-X and looked through the scope. Two targets locked instantly, perfectly aligned.

“BOOM! BOOM!”

The last two Berserker Zombies’ heads exploded at the same time.

James lowered the rifle slightly and glanced toward Arjun, a faint smirk forming on his face.

Arjun saw it. His expression twitched. “…Tch.”

Annoyed, he said nothing. He simply took out his banana, peeled it, and finished it in one bite. Then his eyes locked onto the remaining five Leaper Zombies.

He moved without any warning and buildup. A blur cut across the battlefield. Then he stopped.

For a moment, it was silent, a second later, the result appeared.

Thud… thud… thud…

All five heads dropped, cleanly separated from their bodies. The corpses collapsed one after another. From the wall, voices suddenly erupted.

“Leader Arjun leader is amazing!!”

“No, leader James is amazing!!”

Even while continuing to fire at the incoming zombies, they were shouting and cheering.

In just ten minutes, nearly 500 normal zombies had already been killed.

Yet they kept coming, endlessly, like a tide that refused to stop.

James clicked his tongue lightly. “…Still more.”

He noticed that Arjun had already cleared his side.

So he shifted his focus. His scope moved toward the Armored Zombies, heavier targets, harder to kill, more interesting. He took out his second apple. Crunch.

“Let’s continue.”

Two targets locked instantly.

Meanwhile, Arjun also changed his focus. His eyes landed on the Rot Spreader Zombies.

“Those annoying ones…” He casually took out another banana, peeled it, and took a bite before gripping his sword.

“My turn.”

And once again, both of them moved. One sniped from a distance. The other cut through the battlefield. Different styles. Same goal. And the competition continued.
