After Su Mo climbed up to the 17th step, his surrounding changed once again and he found himself in a teal colored universe.

This universe was filled with vitality and the ground was covered in lush vegetation. Ancient trees towered above, reaching for the heavens and vines climbed up their trunks like huge serpents.

This Space was filled with the Spiritual Qi of wood property.

“Swoosh!”

A figure flew up from one of those towering trees and walked on the void toward Su Mo.

He was a young man wearing a teal robe, his stature slim and tall.

He looked kind and friendly with a traces of a smile flickering on his lips.

“Since you managed to reach this stage, you must be an amazing talent!” that young man said warmly.

“I will sit on the Emperor’s Throne!” Su Mo said coldly as he sized up that young man in teal.

This young man was also his peer in terms of cultivation, a Lv 9 True Darkness Realm martial artist.

“Everyone who came here was brimming with confidence, but only 1 in 10,000 will succeed!” said the young man with a shake of his head.

“What other challenges lie ahead?” Su Mo asked curiously when he noticed that this young man seemed more talkative.

The young man smiled as he said, “The final six steps would be the hardest. If you’re strong enough, you’ll pass them!”

Su Mo nodded. A test of strength? He had confidence in his invincibility amongst same-leveled martial artists.

“Will I continue to battle at peer level in the following challenges?” Su Mo continued to ask.

“Thats’ right. The next nine challenges will involve you battling at peer-level. However, your opponents will become increasingly more powerful as you progress. As for the final six, I hope you’ll get a chance to experience it yourself!” the young man explained patiently.

“Who are you then?” Su Mo asked.

“I’m just a disciple of Ancient Dark Hall that existed many centuries ago. Now, I’m just a projection of his Mind!” the young man replied.

Su Mo realized that the Ancient Dark Hall this young man referred to was probably the name of the power that built this ancient palace. This young man was once part of Ancient Dark Hall and was probably long dead.

This young man in front of him was just a projection of his Mind sealed within this formation.

Su Mo contemplated for a moment. It was likely that he would face various disciples from Ancient Dark Hall in the coming challenges and that his opponents would each get more powerful.

Fighting desire surged through him. He couldn’t wait to see how powerful the talents of the ancient times could be!

Su Mo then stopped asking questions as he slashed out violently once the Sky-crushing Sword appeared in his hand.

Four-colored sword Qi shot up toward the sky and charged straight at the young man in teal.

“Swoosh!”

The young man in teal had clearly realized how powerful Su Mo was. His figure flickered rapidly as he dodged the blow.

“Grow!”

The young man in teal reached both hands out and green light shone from all ten fingers. The green light soon transformed into ten long vines that crawled quickly toward Su Mo.

Those ten vines resembled ten large serpents, each at least a few hundred meters long. They moved at the speed of light and soon approached Su Mo.

“Interesting!” Su Mo said with a laugh. He was not too worried.

Then, his sword flashed brilliantly as piercing sword radiance enveloped his whole body.

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

There was a loud series of explosions and all the vines that were charging toward him were completely destroyed.

“Goodbye!” Su Mo shouted as he slashed out three times with his sword.

Three rays of powerful sword Qi pierced through the skies and covered the earth as they headed straight for the young man in teal.

The young man in teal had nowhere to escape and could only attempt to face it head-on. Unfortunately, nothing he did could destroy Su Mo’s sword Qi and so he was ultimately killed by Su Mo.

The Space changed again and Su Mo found himself back on the stairs. He immediately climbed up to the 18th step.

Once he stepped onto the 18th step, he found himself standing over an endless ocean.

He looked around and saw that there was no one except for the raging waves below.

“Crash!”

Suddenly, a large animal jumped up from the ocean, its jaws opened wide as it charged toward him.

It was a gigantic and ferocious shark, more than 3,000 meters long. It was not a real shark, but rather one made out of ocean water.

Even though it was formed entirely from ocean water, its aura was still extremely terrifying. It was practically bursting with the strength of water property.

“Die!” Su Mo immediately slashed out and this gigantic shark was hacked into two halves.

Roar!

It did not fall back into the ocean, but its two halves immediately transformed themselves into two river dragons.

Those two river dragons roared and pounced at Su Mo from his left and right.

“Humph! What a childish trick!” Su Mo sneered.

His sword flashed as he slashed out dozens of times, releasing dozens of sword Qi that ripped the river dragons into shreds.

“Swoosh!”

All of a sudden, the ocean roared even more violently as a young maid in blue flew up from the depths of the ocean.

This young maid in blue stood tall and slim, her blue hair rippling in the wind.

She held a long sword in her hand that was at least two meters tall, and powerful water property power surged from her body.

“Take this!” the young maid did not waste any time on meaningless conversation. She attacked the moment she appeared.

She pointed her long sword toward the ocean and with a small wave, the ocean rose to form multiple long swords that charged at Su Mo.

The whole universe was inundated with a flurry of swords that pierced through the void. Su Mo’s figure completely disappeared under the deluge of countless swords formed from the ocean.

“Amazing!” Su Mo exclaimed as he continued to wave his arms, sending out layers of curtains that protected him from the torrent of water swords.

These long swords that were formed from the ocean were very powerful. Each sword had the attacking power comparable to an average Lv 4 Martial King Realm martial artist.

This young maid was only of Lv 9 True Darkness Realm cultivation, which showed just how strong she was.

“Boom! Boom! Boom!”

There was a series of explosions as countless water swords were destroyed after crashing against Su Mo’s protective sword curtain.

After a while, all the water swords were destroyed, revealing Su Mo’s unharmed figure.

“Is he really that powerful?” The young maid in blue frowned even as she continued to attack.

She waved her sword again and the boundless ocean roared violently in response. Huge water columns shot out from the ocean and transformed into raging sea dragons that lunged at Su Mo.

“You’ve lost your chance!” Su Mo chuckled. His Sky-crushing Sword flashed as rays of powerful four-colored sword Qi shot out from it.

Countless four-colored sword Qi came together to form a tornado that swept toward the countess raging dragons and that young maid in blue.

The sword Qi tornado destroyed anything that stood in its way, and neither the raging dragons nor that young maid was spared from its power. They were all ripped into tiny shreds.

Su Mo easily completed this challenge.

Then, he climbed up the 19th step.

His surroundings changed again and Su Mo found himself in a fiery universe no different from what he had experienced within the first level of Sky-burn Tower. Erupting volcanoes all over universe caused lava to flow freely and the temperature to be scorching hot.

“Metal, wood, fire and water! Each step is a test of the different property strengths!” Su Mo muttered.
